This has been the most disappointing hairstyle I have ever gotten. I went to a consultation the…read moreweek before with one of the stylist and she said that what I want is doable. I ended up being scheduled with someone else because I was confident that no matter who I got, I would end up loving the results, unfortunately, that was not the case this time. Now when I showed up, I showed the hairstylist the video of the hair color that I wanted and explained to her that I understand that my hair won't look exactly like the video due to the girl having a shorter haircut , but I did say that I did want the raccoon tail. One side of the blonde is more gold than the other and she told me that I have to come back at the END of the service. As you can see it it's just a simple two tone hairstyle. Not to mention at the end of the service she did not blow out my hair but instead tried to style it curly because that's my natural hair, but it ended up looking really bad. I'm not sure how else I could've communicated to get the results I wanted. Yes, I should have told her that I wanted my hair to be blown out, but by this time I just wanted to leave. I did schedule an appointment to get the blonde piece in the front fixed but at this point, I think I'm gonna cancel and move on. The hair color itself is not bad whatsoever and I think she did great on the haircut! Unfortunately, the color is not what I asked for. Looking back the sectioning of the blonde isn't great either. One side of my hair has 2x more blonde than the other. This overall felt rushed. Not sure what I can do myself to fix my hair but I don't think I will be going back here for a color service for a long time and if I do it won't be with that stylist. EDIT: the response to this is ridiculous. Did you want me to say to the hairstylist "No, I'm not comfortable with you doing my hair because you have carpal tunnel" Why would I have a problem with that?! A poor job shouldn't be excused just because I said it was ok for her to do my hair even though she was having a flare up. It's not up to me to gauge if she was in proper condition to do my hair. I'm confused how that's falling on me. She could've easily canceled the hair appointment and all of this could've been avoided. Besides the blonde piece in the front that was gold, which I understood, she still did not follow what I asked. For $314 not including tip it would've been nice to have my hair done right. No offense to her, but why would you guys think I would trust her to fix it coming back a second time. For her to rush it again? Should I ask her if she's having a flare up and if she's going to be ok to do my hair? No thank you.

I can handle a canceled appointment. I can handle policies. What I cannot understand is why a…read moresimple scheduling issue turned into a personal attack. At no point was I trying to take advantage of anyone, and at no point did I ask to for a discount. No one deserves to have their personal circumstances used against them. What should have been a professional conversation quickly became something that felt judgmental, accusatory, and unnecessarily personal. The most disappointing part wasn't losing her as a stylist tbh. It was being made to feel like I was a problem for circumstances that were already difficult for me. Instead of professionalism, I was met with comments that felt targeted and designed to make me feel small. Businesses are entitled to their policies. What they are not entitled to do is shame customers, make assumptions about them, or turn a business matter into a personal one. I reached out because I wanted to feel beautiful. I left the interaction feeling humiliated. Here is my attempt to cancel and the policy. ****update- I spoke with owners and management and their quickness to resolve my problem and prevent this from occurring again to anyone was so relieving and refreshing. After a 48 hour wait. I was informed that they would be speaking with the stylist, and overall taking my concerns seriously. No point did I feel like the stylist was a true representation of society West and their core values especially after speaking with management. They did amazing and my experience was a rare one im seeing now. I'm leaving this up so that if any clients or future clients have any issues they don't hesitate to reach out to management at Societywestsalon@gmail.com. They will hear you out and assist you with any concerns or problems, they really do care and I witnessed how much today. Thank you society west.

She has been going to the "the best hair Solon in Peoria" for a long time and almost always Lisa is the stylist who sees her. Almost always Stephanie is the receptionist who handles our appointments. I have two observations to share: 1. Her hair looks beautiful after every visit. She loves it. I love it. That's worth the trip in itself. But there is more. 2. She is treated with sensitivity and love. It is more than customer care; it is human caring and understanding and patience. There is no fee that can buy that. It comes from another motivation.
