The suite has a large bedroom and a separate sitting room and a separate private bath. It takes up one whole upper side of the large house. It, like the rest of the inn, was immaculate. We checked in late afternoon and through the beautiful wall-wide windows watched the sun setting over the snow. Gorgeous. Everything about Maple Cove exceeded our expectations. So comfortable and warm. Plenty of hot water for a tub in the morning, window seats in both the sitting area and the bedroom for sunrise and sunset views. Beautifully decorated, but not kitschy or cluttered. They also supplied a mini-fridge, a K-cup coffee maker, plenty of towels, extra blankets and pillows. In the morning Jan made us a gourmet breakfast. I do not exaggerate. An incredible omelet, fruit and yogurt parfait, fresh coffee, grilled sourdough toast, potatoes (perhaps fondant?) and orange juice. Plus homemade cinnamon scones! We loved it and will go back in the summer to use the pool! This may be the nicest B&B I've ever stayed in. Thank you, Jan and Mark!

We live nearby and just wanted a quick getaway where the kids could swim, and the pool was perfect. The temperature was ideal for actually swimming, not freezing and not overly warm. The pool towels were huge and fluffy, which I weirdly appreciate more than I should. There's also a shower and bathroom right inside the pool area, which makes life so much easier when you have kids dripping everywhere. Breakfast was hot and genuinely good. Lots of options and everything stayed stocked. Every time something got low, it was refilled quickly. It didn't feel picked over or sad like some hotel breakfasts can. The room was spacious with high ceilings, which made it feel bigger than most hotels. Full kitchen, comfy beds, and a really good work area setup. The TV had streaming options so we could log into our own accounts. The bathtub was great for the kids after swimming. Everything just felt clean, comfortable, and easy. It was the perfect little reset close to home. We'll definitely be back.

Plus, being that my family and I were staying for a week with a dog made it all the more convenient. The following is a fair and accurate description of our stay at Hyatt House in Auburn Hills. I first checked in with Ari at the front desk. I had many interactions with her and she is amazing. She gets five stars. When we got to our room, we pulled out the hide-a-bed for the kids and all that was on it was a dirty mattress cover with (what we determine later as) an old blood stain on it. There were also several dead bug husks on it as well. It was gross. I went down and told the front desk and they made a note in the computer for housekeeping. After we got back to our room the evening of the next day, the mattress cover had not been changed. In fact, the whole room hadn't been touched. The main bed was still in disarray and garbage was still in the bins. I went back down to the front desk and talked to Ari and she actually showed me the message in the computer for housekeeping. Another day came and went and on the third evening when we came back to the room, the main bed was made yet the gross mattress cover was still on and untouched. I'm livid at this point. I go down and speak with Ari again and she calls the manager and the manager tells her to do it. And she said she'd be down momentarily and she was. I assisted her and thanked her several times because I know this isn't her job. Once again, she is fantastic. Another thing I'd like to point out about the lack of housekeeping is that I always finished my coffee in our room. By the end of our stay, there were 7 coffee cups in the sink. On the last two days of our stay, the toilet wouldn't flush properly and the sink started leaking from underneath so there was a huge flood in the bathroom. Every time we needed to use the restroom, we had to walk down the hall. We let the front desk know about this as well. The other positive things about our stay was the breakfast in the morning. I thought it was excellent with a fantastic selection of breakfast options. Even the staff were fantastic; always saying good morning and greeting you with a smile. The gym was nice and our two boys had fun in the pool.

However, within the hotel, there were some issues... The room was dark like there were lamps, but it still felt very dark. The room was extremely clean however there were some stains on the sheets during a really heavy rain storm. We were laying down when all of a sudden there was a knock on the door. It was the maintenance man. He asked if he could come into the room and check and see if there was a leak. I was not dressed properly and I said I'll check. I will check the bathroom and I checked the window and I didn't see anything. A few moments later, we received a call from the front desk demanding that they enter the room once again, I was not dressed properly nor was anyone in my party. We found a male in our party to come up to the room to which they entered with the male present and noticed that there was in fact water on the carpet by the window. This water had caused a leak into the room below ours from the intense rainstorm. I'd like to note throughout this entire process a refund was never offered. An apology was given for having to enter our room so abruptly, however a refund was never offered. As a female traveler who often travels alone. I was very disappointed that the front desk staff didn't understand why I didn't want a mysterious person entering my room. Because of the wet floor, we were never offered a refund. We were never offered anything complementary which really disappointed me as a Hilton rewards member. Overall, besides this experience, they have a complementary free breakfast, but I was just disappointed in the lack of apology or compensation following this experience. I hope the people below us receive from form of room change or compensation as their rule receive the The leak do the intense rain storm. I guess I should also mention there is a fitness center. There are computers with printing access and Internet and there is a swimming pool. There are also meeting rooms and a bar.
