The loss of my beloved husband of 40 years was overwhelming, and I was unsure how I would manage the details of his service or even what funeral home to use. I visited Grand Prairie Funeral Home and talked with Johanna, and she felt like family. I took a few days to even be able to talk about the service and they were there for me with every emotional moment. Johanna and her team not only held my hand through every step but also offered the patience and compassion I desperately needed. They asked the thoughtful questions that my husband would have asked himself, guiding me gently through decisions that seemed impossible to make. Johanna's unwavering support and understanding made it possible for me to get through the process and honor my husband's memory in a way that truly reflected his life and our family's love. I could not have managed my stress and grief without Johanna, Tiffani and Marlena. All three of them were there for me with advice, hugs and comfort. My daughter, mother and I were in a bad accident after leaving the funeral home a couple of days before the service and Johanna made sure that everything was perfect for the service with plans, transportation, emails and phone calls that needed to be accomplished. I am profoundly grateful for their help and kindness during such a difficult time.

From the first inquiring phone call that I made to them looking for directions because I have never had to do the arrangements for the passing of a loved one before, to the planning of the entire process, they were amazing. They did not pressure us into getting things we did not need, they were helpful, informative, supportive, kind, comforting, compassionate, and were a good group of people (staff) that just walked along side me and my family in our time of need. Though I hope nobody has to walk this path, but if you do, I highly recommend Grand Prairie Funeral Home to do it with. Erin Hall was our amazing funeral director and was a wonderful blessing to all of us. Thank you Erin.

Never in my life have I attended a funeral home service that felt so mismanaged. Before the…read moreservice, I spoke with a pastor named Nathan Tucker about allowing the family to speak and about how they wished to honor their mother. The service took place on June 16. Unfortunately, Pastor Nathan Tucker--who talked about his grandmother and his Tennessee background--dominated the entire time and did not give the family a chance to speak about their mother. Along with his coworker sheila the conductor of the service, I asked questions about what had happened during the service. Sheila seemed uninterested, so I stepped away to find my fiancée. While I was searching, I saw her down the hall giggling and laughing--the same person I had asked about what hadn't happened in the service. I asked her why she was laughing on a day when the family's opportunity to speak had been taken away. Overall, the experience felt disrespectful to the family and poorly coordinated. I hope the staff reflects on this and makes changes to ensure families have the chance to honor their loved ones as intended. The purpose of a funeral home to be respectful to the family wishes never came true For that, they don't get no rating or respect a place where we can give our last moment was never given a chance and unprofessional

I went for my mom's birthday, and it looked more like the other parts of the grounds and I have to say that I picked the most perfect place for them. It costed me a new car, or a trailer home or we'll cost me a lot but there is no price. I wouldn't pay to honor my parents and know that I did what they wanted me to do. So if I have to work a little longer to pay for this plot it was totally worth it. We have a beautiful area and I even decided that although I want to be cremated, I want to be in the area where they are that way my son has only one place to visit and it's a really nice place close to our home where we live, and where he will grow up. My mom loved the Hallmark channel and you know on the hallmark channel. They have all those beautiful funerals and Rollinghills at the cemeteries and you almost forget that someone passed away because you see all the greenery and It's just a restful peaceful place. Well, I know that this is exactly what my mother would have wanted not my dad because he could be a little thrifty but I know he knows that my mom rules, and as second in charge, I had to follow suit for him as well. Thank you, Ana. Also, thank you to the general manager whose name escapes me for the moment but thank you both for rectifying the situation so quickly.
