She was kindly available with my innumerable questions, and need for assistance to develop a slideshow for the event. I have very picky relatives who are in the food business. They raved about the food, and the choice of wines. Like what is offered in the Stone Park Cafe restaurant, the food is very fine, seasonal, and presented in a lovely way. An event that had 50 people from around the country was praised by all who attended. There were a good number of helpful, responsive staff on hand. I realize I am using all these generalized superlatives about the food, service, setting and planning. I can't recommend them enough. I don't do events like this often enough to know pricing. Just looking at other local venues, mainly restaurants with set aside rooms, this is the best in that it is a dedicated business, and not to mention that it seemed affordable for what we received.

Space - great Food - great…read moreWaitstaff - great Coordinator - the reason we didn't book here. We did not move forward with Events at Stone Park due solely to the behavior and response times of their Event Coordinator. I wish I had seen a review like this one before I got my hopes up. The space, the food, and the budget all worked for us. The only reason this is not 1 star is because it wouldn't be fair since we did not end up holding our event here. If you'd like to know all the in and out details here we go: I feel I gave the coordinator Barbara a lot of grace - this is an insane time for the restaurant and event industry and people in general - but ultimately I couldn't continue pursuing an event with her in charge. I reached out via email - no response for 10 days I followed up - she responded I reached out again - she didn't respond for 7 days I followed up again- she responded, apologized, gave me info, and said she'd get in touch with me again shortly with her availability for a meeting 2 weeks pass I follow up again - she responded with no acknowledgement of the time gap We schedule an in person walk through - she emailed saying she'd be a few minutes late. After 15 minutes I emailed her back letting her know we were waiting in front of the event space. After 30 minutes of waiting we knocked on the door of the restaurant space and there she was inside. No apology. It was baffling why she didn't look for us at the event space - we realized then that we had seen her walk by 15 minutes before, laptop in hand. Because it bears repeating I'll repeat - she never apologized. She only hurriedly said she left her phone in an uber and then rushed us through the meeting. It was obvious that she was not taking us seriously. She was patronizing. She seemed amused that I had brought a list of questions on my phone to ask. The only positive to give is that she knew something about the space. I came to the appointment happy to give it a chance (even if she was running a few minutes late), and I left angry and insulted. 3 days later she reaches out, apologizes lightly for being late, and asks if we have questions. 5 days later I email her for a sample contract as she had mentioned in our meeting. I've never heard from her since. We are now working with a different local place.

It dates all the back to the 1800s, where it was the home to a number of industrial companies specializing in everything from water pipes to cement. The fact it's adjacent to the Gowanus Canal's waterway made it an attractive spot for businesses. After being the home of a brass foundry for nearly 60 years, it had undergone an extensive renovation in 2008 to become a special events venue that many know and love today. They managed to do all of this while still maintaining its iconic green exterior. Between then and now, it was a destination for Brooklyn weddings, corporate outings, and lots of fun special events. I enjoyed several visits here and was constantly impressed how the team here was able to make every different look so different from each other. Plus the venue staff that worked did a good job in making sure every gathering was a success. Fast forward to current times, the block and as well the surrounding buildings have been purchased by an investment group looking to create more residential spaces. Demolition has already began and is going as of the time of this review. While I can't fault a company for wanting to make some money, I am sad to see more history go by the wayside.

It was easy to plan since they catered the food. I also bought extra food and alcohol to bring there and they had no problem with it. The ONLY issue i had was the lighting of the place. They had pinkish warm lighting and most of my pictures came out terrible because it wasn't bright enough. I did email previously and ask if we were able to make the place brighter and she said it was no problem. But the day of the party I was so busy hosting and attending to party goers that I didn't remind them to fix the lighting for me. I didn't think it would be that bad but looking back at pictures now, it's pretty bad. Group pictures are a bit blurry and our skin looks dark from the pink hue. I recommend hosting a party here but maybe ask them to fix the lighting and make it brighter, and turn off the pink hues

I booked this venue for my daughter's first birthday party (for October) back in February…read more(pre-COVID). My contract was for 80-100 people. Due to NYC restrictions, they were only able to accommodate 50 people. I asked them for a discount since I had to cut my guest list, but they denied me. They told me that people were still booking their venue with the same rate and I said, "yes because they are aware of the 50-ppl cut off, but I booked this venue BEFORE COVID hit." Then, I asked if they can provide free decor, they said no that I needed to pay for it. They were not easy to work with AT ALL. The day of the event, one of their green backdrop decor was there and even though I bought my own, I said if it was available, I will use it. They said it was being used for another party - but they moved it to the bar area instead!!! So, because I didn't rent it, they just moved it by the bar area instead of letting me use it?? How petty? After screwing me with this contract as it is, they couldn't let me use a decor that was NOT being utilized? They are so money hungry and need a lesson in customer service. I booked the venue from 11AM-6PM. I was not allowed to decorate prior to 11AM but they started kicking out my guests at 4:30PM to set up for the NEXT party. Why are they setting up for the next party on MY PAID TIME? On top of that, their workers were moving around high stacks of chairs with toddlers running around. How unsafe is that? My guests felt bad for me and was angry with how the party ended. I wanted a nice first birthday for my daughter, especially going through this rough year with my husband (who is in healthcare) having to move away from us for 5 months. This party was the unnecessary stress that I did not need on top of everything else. It ended with people feeling bad for me. I will never recommend using this venue to anyone. I am giving them one star because their venue is pretty spacious. Other than that, I am extremely disappointed.

As we pulled up in front of the place we were kindly greeted by a gentleman at the front door. The La Tablee NY Tasting is a celebration of over 100 wines of the Rhone Valley (Northen + Southern France) . The La Tablee NY Tasting was already in full swing as we checked in, placed our outerwear at the coat check and were each given a wine glass and wine tasting booklet. Before proceeding towards any wine/food tables, we glanced at the map indicating where each wine/food table was located. We went to each table, sampled things and marked it off in our booklet. There was space to write notes pertaining to specific wines that we liked. Because I enjoy the flavor of white wine and since there was fewer of those, I can safely say that every single white wine I had was my favorite-lol. Along with the wine tasting, there were delightful tasty treats to sample from restaurants/eateries including Atrium, Andante Dairy, Bar Boulud, Celestine and Frankies Spuntino. The Charcuterie platters (fresh cheeses, breads, crackers, fruit and meats) were so good. We tried Toscanna Aqua Penna for the first time (yes, I am very late-lol) and this bottled water is smooth + refreshing. Shout out to Columbe staffperson Ellie as she made the best Latte.... We bought in two tables to set up food, alcohol, & birthday cake. The entire place was a vibe that was giving very much lounge. The decor was pretty dope nice leather coach, high top tables and chairs. You can bring more seating but that's if you plan on being a bore and not singing and dancing to Karaoke...lol! Why 4 stars and not 5? A few things... 1. Trash from a previous party in the trash cans when we should be getting a completely clean venue. 2. The iPad seemed to be older b/c we had to press on it seriously hard to type out letters,.etc 3. The stated they had 1 million songs. However, many songs we put in that are considered popular weren't in the system. 4. The sound system was hard to navigate when it came to volume of microphone and television. It was a no brainer; you get the best of all worlds here. A beautiful space complete with creative artwork, karaoke, surround sound speaker capabilities, karaoke, darts, a pool table, photo booth & a private restroom. I was sold! It was recommended to book in advance since the reservations get filled quickly. I was nervous about booking just a few weeks out from the desired date but hopeful. With no response from the venue's staff, almost 2 weeks before the event (having booked it a couple weeks before prior) I began to reach out to them for assistance since it was expressed on the website that no venue space is confirmed without response/deposit & confirmation. Customer service was less than supportive- emailing proved fruitless, calling wasn't helpful since they just told me to contact customer service via email & my only form of assistance came in harassing their instagram account who then would reach out and have customer service respond via email (which took days each time). I had to double request the reservation as I was told over the phone every excuse from their system was messed up for days & someone would reach out to I should resubmit to ensure my request was received. Long story short, the customer service was not on par with such a wonderful find and it was harder than it should've been to give them my money & to get my deposit back once it was all over. Overall, my party enjoyed the space. We had an amazing time. Everyone raved about discovering the space & wanting to book for themselves. We had to bring our own food and alcohol but it was worth it. Im hopeful that my review will reach the proper channels. Im confident that with a more seamless and friendly customer experience, social cues can be one of the best event spaces in NYC! I recommend checking it out for yourself.
