Chicken Keena
Iñaki R.

The first thing to know about this hole in the wall "mostly take out" restaurant is that it goes by a different name, Memon Cuisine. Let Salma the owner tell you the story while you wait for your food or eat at there tiny counter. So why 5 stars. The food. Amazing. I ordered the chicken Haleem which is made with lentils. The portion is huge and with Naan bread is delicious. Then like one of the "aunties" from the Ms Marvel show she brings me some mouth watering Chicken Keena. Suffice to say I am going back.

(Backstory) Salma's Cuisine is not the same as Salma's Kitchen, which is also in Coral Springs. However, many years ago Salma used to own that location, then sold it and moved away. Now many years later her family is back in Coral Springs and a few months ago, open Salma's Cuisine. This restaurant is located off of Wiles Road. It's a pick up style restaurant but has a few tables/chairs. I called about 20-30 minutes to place my pick up order. However, if your calling to place a big order (tray style for a party), call earlier to see the options. I didn't ask but I assumed Salma and her family are from a city of Pakistan called Karachi. Karachi is known for their appetizers, kabobs, and Biryani. If you order don't forget to try their seekb kabobs. I got a dozen of the frozen kind so I can fry them later. They were a bit expensive for $15, usually at other places I have gotten them for $12. But they were good in taste. Also another thing I would suggest to try is their bun kabob, (3.99) which is another dish popular to the region their from. I like the fact most items you can pick if you want beef or chicken. I ordered the bun kabob in chicken but they did have beef. The seekh kabobs I ordered In beef but they did have chicken. Things I would like to try in the future: Kati roll, some salan (gravy curries of different sorts) and roti (homemade flat bread). Overall, I really like this new restaurant which popped up in Coral Springs. The owners/employees are very nice and explain the menu.

This is Salma's restaurant. She is the most incredible woman. Such amazing, authentic Pakistani/Indian food. I ordered so much food and was blown away by the great quality and taste with unbeatable prices. She is so sweet and generous. The portions are perfect. This is the perfect hole in the wall restaurant that will have you coming over and over again. She is also a catering Queen. My boyfriend and I are obsessed. Cannot wait to go back.

Naan (definitely microwaved)

Decided to try a new place after being a die hard fan of Arun's Kitchen. I have to say, I should have gone to Arun's. The first thing I heard after I ordered was the sound of the MICROWAVE BEEPING. I knew I made the wrong choice. Got the chicken Biryani, Chicken Korma, and a naan. Chicken Korma was SO OILY, and chicken a little dry. Naan was NOT FRESH. You could at least tell that the naan was microwaved because it was tough and chewy (what you would expect from microwaved bread). That's honestly what I'm most upset about. The only reason I gave it any stars was bc the biryani was pretty good (though there were more chicken bones than chicken).

This place is on the industrial side of Wiles in an old, beat up retail zone dating back to probably the 1970s. It's not even visible from the main road. It looks a bit scary from the outside. To add insult to injury the street and parking lot are currently being torn up too. Don't worry about that, the food in here is incredible. Pakistani food in Florida is so hard to come by that you need to put your privilege aside. Salma and her son Cameron run a catering oriented operation and the no-frills storefront keeps costs down. People from all over the county come here and buy full trays of their stuff for their families. Seating is limited to about 10 people max, it's not much to look at, but who cares? They have TVs so you can watch your 401K disappear on CNN while you have your kebabs. Do not miss beef samosas. These are the small and crispy kind, not the big doughy kind. Curries: all of them are excellent but I am partial to the beef (tender, melt in your mouth meat like my Jewish grandma would make if she was from Pakistan) and the kofte meatballs. Dessert: if you eat spicy get the rasmalai which is a rice dumpling in a sweet creamy sauce.

THE ORIGINAL SALMA IS BACK! Folks I am over the moon to see that Salma is back in town, she was the former owner of Salmas Biryani and now has opened her own little store on Wile's road west of University. If you are looking for the most authentic Indian and more so Pakistani flavors then you have come to the right place. The dishes here are not available at any average Indian Restaurant and some of the traditional favs that you must try out are the Biryani, Nihari and of course my favorite dish of all time... Haleem (which is a mixture of lentils, crushed wheat and either chicken or beef). Not many places here in S Florida make the last 2 dishes. Her Shammi Kebabs and Samosas are to die for! Salma has catered many of our dinners and get togethers and hands down is the best in what she does as all the locals (home folks) will attest to and you know it's a great place when the "locals" frequent it! The new store is mostly for take out meals but has a few tables set up both inside and outside where one can feast to their heart's content. I would highly recommend trying her out, you will not be disappointed especially if you mention I sent you lol. She has a very amicable personality and I know she will do very well with lots of help from us Yelpers! WE WILL MOST DEFINITELY BE BACK!!

Salma's Cuisine is located on Wiles, just west of Coral Springs Drive. It is a small takeaway place next to a convenience store. The name is kind of confusing, as there is another restaurant named Salma's Kitchen in Coral Springs as well. Salma's Kitchen was originally owned by Salma, and she sold it when she moved to Houston. She moved back in the area, and opened this restaurant, which also bears her name. It would be much easier if they had different names, especially when you are trying to navigate on GPS. Anyway, when you enter, do not expect a restaurant. It is more like a small counter. They have various lunch specials. You can get a chicken or beef kebab roll for $4 each. If you add a small side of salad and a drink, it is $7. For 2 people, we paid $14. It wasn't expensive, but you can't say it is cheap either given that you are eating at a counter. This restaurant specializes more in catering than dine-in. They also have a small freezer with frozen shami kebabs and samosas in ziploc bags. These are good for people who don't have time to cook ar home. Service is nice and helpful, and taste of food is good.

Was amazingly good. The basmati rice was very good! And the chicken was sooo tender, comes right off the bone, the goat had great flavor too. A bit Spicey but it's goooood. If you don't like it to spicy just add yogurt sauce they have to mild it out, it's good. I give this restaurant 4 stars. It's great. Only reason I don't give that last star is for visual. It's a grab and go place really so I don't expect it to look super beautiful. But still. Other then that you have to try. It's sooo good. But they have tables you can sit and eat at.

When you walk in, it definitely has a hole-in-the-wall feel, but in the best way. You can actually see the cooks preparing the food in the background, which adds to the authenticity. I ordered the Chana Makhani and Malai Kofta again, along with garlic naan and biryani rice. Everything was flavorful, rich, and satisfying. The naan was soft and fragrant, and the biryani rice paired perfectly with the dishes. If you're looking for consistently good, authentic Indian food without the fuss, this spot never disappoints.

The sauce was rich, creamy, and downright flirtatious -- the kind of dish that makes you rethink every bland chicken you've ever met. Could the spice have gone up a notch? Sure. But honestly, I was too busy dunking naan like it was an Olympic sport to care. Ah, the naan. Warm, soft, unapologetically garlicky -- the kind that ensures you won't be kissing anyone for at least 24 hours, but you'll die smiling. Slightly soggy? Maybe. But let's call it "emotionally tender," because it matched my mood when I realized how good it was. And the appetizers? Crisp, golden little parcels of joy that crackled louder than my willpower. Each bite made me want to stand up and start narrating like David Attenborough: "Here we see the majestic samosa in its natural habitat... gracefully disappearing into the human mouth." Arun's isn't just serving food -- it's serving edible happiness. Five stars for flavor, fun, and the garlic afterglow that follows you home like a fond memory.

The outdoor dining area was gorgeous, but too hot to dine outside. We proceeded to eat inside. The bathroom was extremely clean- my only recommendation would be to add toilet seat covers. As soon as we sat down, we were greeted very kindly and the menu was explained to us, all while the signature, popular dishes were brought to our attention. We ordered some drinks (Dirty Chai and the Bollywood Old Fashioned (not pictured)) which were phenomenal. The bartender had a heavy hand, which is always appreciated by a Las Vegas local. Our appetizers were brought fairly quickly & enjoyed almost immediately. The eggplant dish had a kick to it. The Brussels sprouts were extremely tasty. There were about four to five different flavors dancing on our tongues. The fish was phenomenal and was served in a banana leaf. It did not even taste like fish. The Bharlivangi had an interesting flavor & was very unique. Butter chicken is always a great go to at any Indian restaurant because of the mix of flavors. The duck was amazing and the sauce and soft egg it was accompanied by was perfectly paired. The desserts were extraordinary. We didn't even know if we could order dessert because we were so full... then we saw the menu and knew we couldn't pass up the opportunity. The golab Jamun was the perfect hot temperature, doughy and flavorful. It paired perfectly with the ice cream. Jude, our server, was very attentive and kind. I am usually hesitant when the server recommends the signature items on the menu (the fish and Bharlivangi), but we were not disappointed at ALL. I hope he is our server in every lifetime. I do not have enough nice things to say about him, his service and demeanor. Overall a phenomenal experience and I will ensure this restaurant is on my itinerary each time I visit West Palm Beach.
