    Just a travel timeshare scam. A complete waste of your time. My wife responded to a card that was sent in the mail.

    Huge scam! Stay away!!! Do not even give you the promised incentive of $50 dining certificate. Very deceptive!

The membership is mine although my husband's name is also on the account. He made that clear from the beginning of our meeting However, the staff person we met with sorry the next hour+ BSing & directing all questions and comments to him, not me. When the manager finally came over, he mentioned that one of the things they were doing was getting sites that allowed pets. That sounded good. Very reluctantly, I upgraded my membership. Today, I contacted GDV regarding help with finding a place that takes pets only to be told that it is GDV policy "no pets". I feel that I was lied to in other for that office to get me to update my membership. I will never attend a meeting with them again. Ever.

We expressed our…read morefrustration that we had not been able to secure our desired week through Global Discovery Vacations. Toni said we should hear something by the end of January, and if we didn't, we should reach back out to her and she would help us. I called in February and spoke to someone there who said Toni was out sick but someone would return my call by the end of the week. I explained the purpose of my call, and she said reiterated that GDV should be able to get that done for us. No one returned my call, so I called again and got their voicemail. I left a message, and also sent an email to the address on Toni's business card, which was an "info@..." address that should go to anyone in the office. I never received any response to either. I called our GDV sales rep. He said Club Loco never should have indicated any ability to help us as that is beyone their scope.

All the carpeting was filthy. Mattresses and pillows were stained. I have vacationed to Myrtle Beach for the past 10 years and these were the most undesirable accommodations I have ever experienced. I understand it is the beach and people change units on a weekly basis, but there was no excuse for the condition of this particular unit. The only redeeming qualities were the proximity to the beach and the stunning view from the balcony. The view earned the one star rating, which should really be an 1/8th of a star.

I had to buy a battery across the street for $8.63 I don't feel like the above issues are acceptable. We should not have to clean our room upon arrival after long day in the car with kids wanting to go straight to beach and pools. Our expectations are to be able to walk into our rental and it be clean and we're ready to go and relax and enjoy our family. Made trips to Target to get additional wipes and paper plates and plastic ware is exhausting. Had similar experience 6years ago at avista with Myrtle grand. Do not recommend. They would not refund cleaning fee. Owners of 716 Camelot should know their unit is poorly managed.
