This is a very long and detailed review. I want to say that the 5 stars is for monster and specifically Nikita White in customer service. She was helpful, courteous and listened to my rant about my last (current) vacation. We've traveled probably at least a half dozen times using monster reservations. They get good deals from the vacation destination with hopes that new members will come from the trips. I completely understand and appreciate whats happening here. If you don't want the timeshare or vacation club pitch every time you travel then this is not for you. However, if you're willing to go through the presentation at your destination, the prices are fair and trips are great.....until this time. Monster called me and said we want to thank you for using us so much. We want to reward you with a trip that is just a trip. No presentations no selling, just a vacation. Okay...I'll bite. We booked our trip & flights and waited almost a year for this much anticipated (and needed) vacation. (The wait was our choice, time off work etc. Nothing to do with their availability or ability to book sooner.) Fast forward to now...we're on our trip...we are at the Confresi Resot and Spa in the Dominican Republic. We were picked up at the airport and taken to our resort. When we got here we tried to check in at the main lobby desk...nope.."Monster check ins are down that hall, around the corner, down the stairs to guest services." Okay, we check in and are given silver bracelets, all monster guests have silver bracelets and all monster guests are booked into the same cluster of rooms. These rooms are outdated, in poor condition and not near anything (pools, restaurants, bars, activities etc) except the hospital which receives 24 hours activity and the casino. First morning here and our phone rings, "we're picking you up for breakfast." Oh. Okay. Why? "You need a tour of the facility." Okay, here we go. So we spent 6 hours on day 1 in a high pressure sales pitch. We said no the expected amount of times. We were insulted and the manager (forgot his name) even said "okay,so you're wasting my time?" Yeah! I guess so buddy. No one knows what anyone is going through financially and to have the fact that we even booked this trip thrown back at us is beyond insulting. We were told, if we buy now, we will be upgraded to V.I.P. status and moved out of "that crummy room" immediately (Their words not mine.) We didn't buy and because we have silver "Monster " bracelets we're being treated like third class I'd say humans, but im pretty sure the strays are being treated better than us. Silver bracelets and you cannot have a refill of CLUB SODA at Bellini (one of their 11 restaurants, this one has a buffet, 4 of the 11 restaurants do and we can only go to the bufftes.) Making a reservation for an off menu restaurant? You have to walk to where you checked in between 9 and 11. I tried for 4 days straight and everything was already booked even on the day I was there at 9:13. They booked us for the last day of our trip, the last seating and the only restaurant available. Our room has no hot water, we are not allowed on certain beaches, pools or restaurants. Because they want you to buy a club membership, and if you don't, you don't have access to certain areas. You would think they'd give you V.I.P. service right away so you know what you're getting. The beaches we were allowed to be on were dirty, had broken down cabanas, and broken showers. The beaches for "members" we're pristine, beautiful furniture and silk draperies and people to wait on you at your chair or cabana. We've been to all inclusives before and I wouldn't recommend a Lifestyle Vacation Club destination to anyone. And I wanted all the monster members to know how you're treated if you don't buy in. Also a little miffed that we were told one thing (no pitch, just a thank you") and it was yet another pitch and a day whole off the vacation. The buffet food was good. The Colosseum shows, A+. Some staff judged us by our bracelets. But the maintenance people and housekeeping were kind. read more

Extremely Disappointing Experience With Monster Vacations / A1 Excursions I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Monster Vacations and A1 Excursions. What should have been an exciting vacation-planning experience has instead become frustrating, stressful, and, in my opinion, extremely unprofessional. I have spoken with three representatives regarding my concerns. My most recent conversation was today, 8/25/2026, with a representative named Melissa. Unfortunately, the interaction was so unpleasant that she didn't provide her last name. She also did not offer to send me a customer survey, despite the others over mentioning it and sharing that they are having an office contest where representatives receive entries for completed surveys. I originally booked a vacation on 8/20/2026 with Leah Dolan. I paid over $400 for a reservation at Treetop Resort in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, for April 10-17, 2027. At the time of booking, I was not informed that the reservation could not be modified or canceled. This information is extremely important and should have been clearly disclosed before taking my payment. My frustration is also with the overall operational process. You call a number believing you are contacting the appropriate department, only to have the call rerouted after approximately six rings to an overflow line where another representative answers. Instead of receiving clear assistance, I have repeatedly felt like I was being passed around without anyone taking ownership of the issue. I also spoke with Jamil Bostic on 8/13/2026, and unfortunately, that interaction did not resolve my concerns either. I have more than five trips on my profile and have paid over $500, including reservations involving round-trip airfare. However, I was unable to book some of those trips because I traveled to Florida in May 2026 and was required to wait six months before making another booking, meaning I could not book until October. That is how I ended up booking the Gatlinburg vacation with Leah. My biggest concern is transparency and full disclosure. Customers should not have to discover important restrictions about cancellations, modifications, booking eligibility, or other terms after they have already provided their credit card information and made a payment. From my experience, the sales process appears heavily focused on obtaining a payment while the customer is being sold an exciting vacation experience, but the complete terms and restrictions are not being communicated with the same emphasis. I find that practice concerning and believe customers deserve better. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have encountered. I believe the workflow, communication, and sales practices need serious review. Customers deserve accurate information, transparency, accountability, and respectful assistance--not to feel as though they are being passed from representative to representative after their payment has already been collected. At this point, I would strongly encourage anyone considering booking through Monster Vacations or A1 Excursions to ask very specific questions about cancellation policies, modification restrictions, eligibility requirements, booking windows, and all terms before providing a credit card payment. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reviews both the sales process and customer-service workflow. Families are trusting these companies with their money and their vacation plans. A Huge GOLDEN THANX to Monster Vacation for Booking me a 4 days/5 nights at Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort in Orlando, FL Customer service, was friendly, even when the call disconnected I was able to pick right back up based on the notes, they took! Update, reminder, emails, texts, made it easy!!!!! No blindsides, everything was discussed upfront & happened as they told me... As someone who frequently visits Orlando, I honestly thought I had done enough research before booking this stay. I expected a nice resort, but what I did not expect was to be completely blown away by the size, amenities, and overall experience. When people say this property is massive, believe them. At over 11,000 acres, this is far more than a resort--it's a destination all by itself. In fact, once we arrived, we realized there was absolutely no need to leave the property. ‍ My daughter and I planned this as a staycation, and what we thought would be more than enough time--from Tuesday through Saturday--turned out to not be nearly enough. By checkout day, we were already talking about when we could come back. The pool areas alone could keep a family entertained for days. Between the lazy river, splash areas, multiple pools, and water features, nothing ever felt overcrowded. There was always space to relax, play, and enjoy the Florida sunshine. One thing we loved was how much there was to do beyond swimming. We enjoyed karaoke nights, arcade games, movies under the stars, beautiful walking paths, and family-friendly activities throughout the resort. The resort's QR code system made it easy to stay updated on daily events, dining specials, and entertainment offerings. Getting around was also incredibly convenient. If you don't feel like walking, the resort shuttle runs regularly throughout the property, making it easy to get wherever you want to go without ever moving your car. We stayed in a newly renovated two-bedroom villa, and it was absolutely beautiful. The accommodations were spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. One of my favorite moments was enjoying breakfast on the patio while overlooking the golf course. It felt more like a private retreat than a typical vacation stay. Golf enthusiasts will love the property as well. The grounds are stunning, and there are options for both experienced golfers and those simply looking for a fun experience. The dining options exceeded our expectations. The spinach dip at Tradewinds was delicious, and the tacos at Breeze were a family favorite. Having multiple restaurants, snack bars, and poolside dining options made everything convenient and enjoyable. As a parent, I also appreciated seeing security throughout the property and how well everything was maintained. The resort felt safe, clean, and family-focused from the moment we arrived. If you're looking for a place where you can truly relax, reconnect with family, and enjoy countless activities without ever leaving the property, this is it. We came expecting a nice stay and left wishing we had booked even more time. The GOLDEN girls will absolutely be back. read more

I started my 2026 vacation plans in February by requesting to use one of my package plans to go on a cruise. I was told that a green envelope would be sent to me in the mail in 10-14 days. After the 14 days was up and I hadn't received anything in the mail, I called back and they ensured me they would send it again. So again after 14 days I called back and again they ensured me it would come this time. Well, it didn't. So now were into April. One day I got a call, and the ID said it was from Monster, me thinking it was about the cruise I answered with anticipation. But it wasn't about that. It was the start of a nightmare of a new vacation being planned. The sales person told me they had a new destination come up and that I could use my 5 day 4 night with 2 airline tickets included which was part of my package for a Puerto Plata DR trip that was all inclusive. All I had to do was pay the fees and taxes up front. I was very excited because I was not receiving the cruise info and I really wanted to go on vacation this year. I spent last year having breast cancer and being sick all year. I was finally free of that and I needed a get away. He said that the airline vouchers would be emailed to me, so I waited. I waited and waited. Kept checking my inbox and junk box but nothing came. So I called them. Well the next person said that they don't get emailed that they will be mailed in 10-14 days. So agian I waited. When they didn't come, I called back. And that person said that they'd send them via mail again. Again I waited and again they didn't come so again I called back. The next person told me it was because I hadn't taken my inital start up trip, which I had, a couple years prior. They finally saw that and said they'd send them again. Again after the airline vouchers not showing up, I called and the next person said that no, they get emailed and I should have them in 3-5 days. After the 5 days I called, yep, again. This person told me that it was because each time they requested them to be sent it voided out the previous request. Which to me didn't make sense because I wasn't getting any of the requests anyway. One day I got an email from the reservations department saying how excited I should be cause my trip was now 37 days away. So, I decided to email them back and let them know I was still waiting on the airline tickets. They actually responded but said this trip didn't include tickets. I sent them all the info I had and what I was told my the sales people this entire time. They looked into it and told me this was a different package and not part of the package I already paid for. So, when I asked if I'd be charged anything additional besides now the airline tickets I had to pay out of pocket (which was a surprise cause the initial person said it was included) they told me I would have to call the DR resort myself to see about adding an all-inclusive if I wanted. I am so tired and fed-up with this company! I'd rather go back to last year with cancer then try to keep dealing with these people to get what they claim I will get but don't, but I do pay for it. read more

We keep getting emails stating we have 3 trips, which are 8 day 7 nights. We called to book one of those yesterday and we were told we need to give a down payment in the amount of $150. We explained that we wanted to check out the property. We called back and asked to speak to the same associate named Ariana. We were transferred back to Ariana, everything changed. Now the down payment changed. It went from $150 to $187.59? She was doing everything in her power to up sell us to a white glove service. We have already been suckered in to that back on August 7th when we spoke to Rowena to let Monster RG know that we needed to reschedule our current trip to El Cid resort in Cancun from Sunday August 9th to August 14th due to me taking a bad fall and I have 5 broken ribs. Rowena proceeded to tell us that we would be charged an $850 surcharge if we cancelled or rescheduled? Then she proceeded to tell us that if we paid $187.59 they could waive that $850 charge? Now we find out we would have never been charged with an $850 charge and Rowena liedto us and sold us a white glove service? My husband and I are very disappointed with Monster RG! Every time we call, your reps are trying to up sell us a white glove service? And if they know that they are not going to get the sale they want to get off the phone ASAP and basically refuse to help you. This is exactly what Ariana did to us yesterday! We just want to book 1 of our 8 day 7 night vacations because we are traveling to Waikiki on Oahu from June 5th thru June 12th of 2027 and it has become such a huge headache. No one wants to help us? FYI, I will be disputing the charge from Rowena on August 7th as she misinformed us that we would be charged with an $850 surcharge? We have since, found out that was a lie! We never even paid for the Cancun trip at El cid. We were offered it at no charge by Kino Williams due to the fact our first all inclusive vacation we booked at Grand Oasis Cancun was an absolute nightmare! Kino was nice enough to give us this trip to El Cid with an upgrade to a junior suite. We, at no time, were ever told if we canceled we would be charged $850?? I am requesting to have someone contact us to book our vacation in Waikiki from June 5th thru June 12th without trying to up sell us this white glove service! All we want is what your company promised us, a vacation, period! We will be awaiting your call! read more

***Edit 2 days later. At bottom*** I called in to use my white glove service to change my destination from Florida to Atlantic City in New Jersey. I was given an operator by the name of Frederick. On a previous call with a different operator that I had made, I was told that Atlantic City would work for the time that I asked for. So for this call I asked for Atlantic City. Somehow that got translated to Virginia Beach in a completely different state. Now I'm not looking at a map exactly when I'm being told something and I understand that places in different states have similar names or names of other locations. I didn't think to question that Virginia Beach is close to or around Atlantic City. Never been there before. Wanted to go. After confirming the details of the trip of Virginia Beach and at the end being told congratulations! Hope you like Virginia and me saying you mean New Jersey right? And kind of getting a laugh of. Yeah that's what I meant. I get the confirmation that it is actually in Virginia. I call after getting that confirmation email a day and a half later. After being told that I would be reviewed, I'm told by "superiors" that because I said okay to the destination, he said that I would have to pay for another White glove service to be able to change my destination and then I could get the destination that I originally asked for. Pay again to get the destination that I wanted to go to? Not satisfied with this process whatsoever. Not satisfied with the service that I got. Not satisfied that I somehow wanted Virginia Beach and not Atlantic City in a completely different state. Whoever Frederick is needs to confirm destination or some type of training because I don't know how you get Virginia Beach from Atlantic City. Good day. ***Edit 2 days later.*** The above happened over the weekend. At the start of the week Tariq B. responded to my situation. I am pleased to report that I was given excellent care with my unfortunate outcome. Not only did they fix the mistake of wrong destination, but offered a way to to immediately reach out if my reservation had any issues day of. I'm confident this was just a one off negative result and not a common occurrence within their team. Thank you Tariq And give my best to Frederick. Just booked my first trip for December 2023, which is always a timeshare sales presentation. That trip must be taken before you can use your package. That took quite awhile to book as the sales destinations were too far away for a three --four day trip, or was booked up. And usually each month, there is only one or two places that you can go for the presentation, not where you would want to travel. I wanted something that was a few hours travel rather than flying somewhere for short trip that was going to be cut shorter by attending a sales pitch. And while on the sales presentation part, I was booked into a 2 star hotel when I will be asked to purchase a several thousand dollar timeshare? I am staying somewhere that I would never have booked on my own, yet here we are. I will get the hotel reservation fee back at the sales presentation, but still required to pay $10-$20 per night resort fee/taxes. And for the cost with the "White Glove Service" (totally optional, $99 per booking). I could have booked somewhere better for almost the same cost. It's a bad customer service mistake, especially if coming from the timeshare seller. I purchased two separate travel packages from Monster and was told more than once that I would only need to take ONE timeshare sales presentation package to unlock travel on them. That was not correct, I must take a sales presentation for each of them. Monster: I will be happy to give you the dates I was on the phone if you would like to fact check me. Be sure to ALWAYS ask what the total charge is being placed on your card before approval. Monster charges 9.5% service fee on credit card transactions, after the original purchase. And ask for the transcript number when they tell you that you are being recorded to protect you and them. I think there needs to be some better transparency, both internal and external. Folks seem friendly and attentive to your needs when you call in. But if your call gets transferred, listen to things carefully. One of the brighter spots has been my interaction, via phone with Nicole. She was informative, upbeat and answered all my questions (expect the one you always think of after answering the phone). I left the review at four stars because of her. I am optimistic that once the timeshare part is over, it will be blue skies and smooth sailing moving forward. read more

I would like to state that our vacation turned out pretty well. This is our, maybe, fourth time booking with monster reservation group and I can admit we had quite a few lovely experiences with them, but this past vacation. I really didn't like the spot that we were booked with which was Atlantic Palace suites. The hotel itself really needs an upgrade from the laundry room to the rooms. You have some of the furniture scratched up or little beat up. The elevators, Some were worn down but the overall vacation we really did enjoy ourselves. This was our first time being in Atlantic City. It is more family oriented, But you had some places that were were worn, run down and abandoned. It was like a roller coaster of emotions. You will see some really nice scenery and then get smacked in face with a banded property hotels and then nice scenery again and then gets smacked in the face with some more abandoned run down properties. It was uneasy you expect to go on vacation and see an experience. Spectacular moments. Our place was more outdated. Not something to really enjoy as an accommodation but they had other spots in Atlantic City like Flagship hotel, Oceans hotel, Caesars Palace, Resorts, as well as Hard Rock That was very nice to visit. My husband is disabled, So it was very hard trying to get handicap accommodations for parking. Parking was hit and miss so we really had to play it safe with leaving our hotel to find things to do because if we came back like around 4:00 p.m. or after, we didn't have a parking spot and they don't have elevators from The parking garage at our hotel accommodations (Atlantic Palace suites). So it was either walking a lot of stairs or walking around the whole parking garage until we got back downstairs which was very painful for my husband. I don't understand why we didn't get accommodated like stated at least at the flagship hotel which was with the package that we purchased this past vacation. We almost did not purchase because of the accommodations until we saw flagship and said there's hope. Other than that I do not suggest you guys book anybody at Atlantic Palace suites until serious renovations are made and I advise anyone else not to utilize Atlantic Palace suites, very disappointing. Extremely Disappointed and Frustrated With Monster Vacation I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Monster Vacation. When I was on vacation in Kissimmee, Florida, in June 2026, I was told that I would have to wait until I returned home before booking another domestic vacation. I understood that once I was home, I would be able to book another domestic trip. Unfortunately, when I contacted them today, August 17, 2026, I was told something completely different. I was told that I would have to wait until December to take another domestic vacation. I was also told that I could possibly take an international trip, but I explained that I do not feel comfortable traveling outside of the country right now. What makes this even more frustrating is that I was also promised that I would not have to do another tour. I was told that I would be able to use the vacation benefit without having to go through another presentation. The young lady who called me, whose name I believe was Samantha, told me that she could get me on another vacation, but the option available to me would have to be international. I explained to her that I am currently on vacation from work, which is why I was specifically trying to book a domestic trip before the end of August. I was told one thing, and now that I am trying to use the benefit, I am being told something completely different. It is extremely frustrating when you are told, "I'm sorry, whoever told you that gave you the wrong information," instead of the company honoring what was previously promised. Customers should not have to keep hearing that someone else gave them incorrect information after relying on what they were told by the company. If the rules and restrictions are going to be different, they should be clearly explained upfront and provided in writing. I feel that this situation is unfair and misleading. What was supposed to be an exciting vacation benefit has turned into a very frustrating experience. I simply wanted to use the vacation that I was promised while I am off work, and now I am being told that I have to wait until December. I would strongly recommend that anyone dealing with Monster Vacation get every promise, restriction, waiting period, and tour requirement in writing before making any decisions. Review of Reef at Seahaven in Panama City Beach January 2024. Negative front desk experiences do not give positive experiences as first contacts do matter...let me explain. When we first pulled into the parking lot we had been traveling against time to arrive before dark, therefore I desperately needed a restroom. Other guests were talking and talking and I hated to interrupt but already had one strike going as the address did not even match....a sign on the door saidGO NEXT DOOR...past the restaurant...that's where the talking guests were clogging up the reservation desk keeping me from not getting the information I needed about the bathroom. After interrupting the conversation, I was told to go outside, into the swimming pool area, finally I locate the bathrooms and then realize the door will not even shut, nonetheless lock???? What I wanted for a positive first impression!! Definitely not Hilton Honor quality experience!! Secondly, why pay $59 ($62 with taxes) for parking when we are THE ONLY VEHICLE IN THE PARKING LOT!!! Which brings me to the "why" we were rejected from making a Wyndom room reservation...was it because we refused to take a timeshare tour??? Thirdly, the beds are super comfortable and the rooms are large but the broken floor of the elevator makes you question safety and security. Not to mention the horrid ceiling situations in the bathroom with lifted ceiling tiles, rusted and improperly fitting making me think a peeping Tom and/or security camera might be hidden in the extremely outdated, low ceiling bathtub/shower and low toilet crammed in beside the tub behind the rusted door that will not close for privacy...sound familiar?? Leftover hurricane damage?? Thirdly, the tiny, blurry television has a remote control that must be smashed to turn on or turn off, same with channel changing. Again, not Hilton Honor as I am used to while traveling. No free breakfast. And lastly, we each have breathing machines and had to unplug the lamp on the bedside table to breath safely at night. Now, it is a safe, beautiful beach front property, probably waiting for a multi-million dollar sale. Unfortunately, I never located the gorgeous lounge illustration the SEAHAVEN REEF ad plastered on the elevator door and PIER billboard. read more

What I was informed was a 5 resort was actually worse than a Motel 6. We were informed by the front desk of The Sports Illustrated Resort in Cap Cana Marina in the Dominican Republic, that our rooms AC was cut off for not signing up in time for the Time Share Presentation. We arrived at 11:30am, well enough time before check-in to accommodate them. The attendants were not available before 3pm check-in. We were confronted for not signing up for the presentation the next day and I informed them that it appeared to be a "them" problem and not a "me" problem as I was promptly available. The next day at 6pm our water was shut off in the room. I called the front desk and asked for assistance and was ignored. 2 hours later I received a call from the front desk asking how the water was. I informed them that maintenance never showed up and I am not a certified plumber to inspect plumbing issues. An hour later I went to the front desk to see where the manager was and was escorted by the Security Guard and front desk personnel back to my room to inspect the water. The water worked and I was given looks like, I am crazy. I asked if there was an issue with the plumbing, and I was looked at like all of a sudden they didn't speak the same language and didn't understand my question. I asked again about my AC being cut-off and was told the entire facility had a power loss. I didn't lose power, I lost Air Conditioning in the Dominican Republic in the middle of August! Don't piss on my boots and tell me it's raining out.. This is far from the "High End, Professional" company I was led to believe. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM!!! ALL-INCLUSIVE has a different meaning. I called Monster Travel who told me to have the resort deal with it because there was nothing they could do. The front desk of The Sports Illustrated Resort in Cap Cana Marina Dominican Republic told me to contact Monster Travel as there was nothing they could do. No replacement location, no refund, no cancelation of our stay without receiving a PENALTY, no assistance whatsoever by either company! Is this what someone should expect from a company? No washing machines for laundry. No microwave. I will be reporting them to the BBB for deception and false advertisement of what they offer. read more
