I used to go to Mel's Auto clinic until I read these reviews. I had a leak in my radiator somewhere so I went to Auto Lab instead. They told me I had to replace my radiator as well as thermostat housing , upper and lower hoses and serpentine belt, their total price was over $1600. Just out of curiosity I called Mel's, the same repair would cost me about $560. They checked it out and yes the radiator was cracked but the thermostat housing was good as well as the hoses and belt. My total cost was $480. I talked with the mechanic and he said if it wasn't broke he wasn't going to replace it. It's hard to find an honest mechanic these days, that's why I'll always go back to Mel's. Oh yes, they did promise to return my car in one day but it took two days, that was so they can get the air bubbles out of the system. To save $1200 I'll wait an extra day for my car. read more

I took my 2002 Lincoln continental to Mel's because I was having issues of wobbling in the front wheels. I figured it was a tie rods or ball joints. Turned out it was. Had them replace inner and outer on both sides, and two new tires. They honestly gave me a great price and I felt they were very honest through the entire process. The car rides great. another added benefit is rent a wreck car rental that is also part of their business. I drove my car in, drove off in a rental ( good price and discounted if they are doing your auto repairs). dropped the rental off and was back in my car. I will be going back! Returned from vacation to find my vehicle would not start and was parked in hectic airline parking lot. Mel's responded within 30 minutes and had to deal with a very crowded airline parking lot which I could not be present as I had to return home the day prior and was 4 hours away. They towed the vehicle to the dealership very quickly. I was impressed with the service and the communication in a highly stressful situation complicated by being hours away. This shop has excellent google reviews, but only has 6 reviews on yelp. I was a bit skeptical at first but seeing the new ownership, the manager Ari was GREAT! I don't really write reviews but this man did everything from A to Z. First Step: Check in my car Second Step: Got a 2017 rental car Thirst Step: Picked up my car with no issues after 24 hours. My husband and I picked up our car today after it needed a new transmission. Shop said it would have it done within 3-4 days. We picked it up after Day 3 and received a follow up call the next day to make sure we are satisfied with the repairs. To answer that question, Yes we are extremely pleased with the service. I want to report a very disappointing experience with one of your tow truck drivers. After waiting over two hours for service, the driver arrived and continued making rude and smart remarks instead of focusing on fixing our tire. He even leaned against my car to argue with my son rather than completing the job. The entire experience was unprofessional and frustrating after such a long wait. I hope this matter is addressed, as no customer should be treated this way. read more

Amazing shop! I took my car in after having many problems and Dan one of the mechanics had my car working brand new. It took a couple of days, but they gave me a rental so I can still get to work everyday while my car was getting fixed. My F-150 quit on me, needed a tow. Mel's was the most prompt service I've ever had. The tow driver, Clinton, was polite, and knew what he was doing. He took great care of my truck.
