Ok it has only taken me several months to write this review because I am that kind of person BUT here I am still fondly reminiscing the experience I had at this shop. My stupid rear tube had been going flat randomly every couple of days and despite changing the tube/taking it somewhere to get looked at etc. it was still effing being a brat. OPEN SCENE...me, downtown, running errands. Amy, my bike, being baller as ever dodging confused, slow-walking tourists, mouths agape, in the middle of the road...all is smooth...BAM! FLAT! I'm like well I will die before I WALK anywhere ever again BUT I know this place exists so here goes. I'm sick of this sh*t, onwards to MV. New tubes! New tires! Awesome dudes, no eLiTiSt CyCliSt nonsense, just a really chill environment with knowledgeable, helpful people getting it frikkin done, not charging 1 arm + 1 leg, & also being charming as heck! 10/10 would recommend. From the bottom of my milk crate basket, I thank you. XOXO

Loved this place from randomly chatting to David the owner after we'd grabbed a coffee to finally dropping back in and renting a CX bike for a day and getting expert friendly advice on where to ride. You wanna ride in Santa Fe (and you should) then just come here

Great rental bike offering, professional, and very friendly. Much high level than your average bike shop.

The folks here are helpful and can get you the right equipment quickly. Last week I went in to buy a Camelbak water bottle. Not only did they have a great selection of sizes and styles, their prices were half of the price at REI!

I had an issue pop up with the linkage units creaking/lose etc. after another store here locally looked at, they reassembled the linkage units with blue lock-tight...which is a huge no-no...lol...moronic actually. That said, New Mexico Bike and Sport worked with the OEM to get this corrected and replaced them with new linkage units. Bike is tight as hell now!! They also did some other repairs...like correcting the rear de-railure hanger, a misfitted chain from Another shop (installed too short of a chain) and one hell of a clean up too. They threw in a few other goodies as well. My bike looks brand new and more Importantly, rides like a gazelle!! I can't express enough the level of detail they went to on this awkwardly critical issue. They also, well worth noting, updated me regularly on the progress of this project...and trust me, it was not an easy lift. Due to the severity of the previous bike store locking the linkage units in place, they worked with the OEM on how to basically perform an emergency extraction and by the way...Scott backed them on up a potential frame replacement if something went wrong....based on how they instructed them to perform the extraction. In 15 years of living in NM...this sincerely was my best experience in dealing with a true servicing partner for my MtB. Will I drive up there again for assistance?? Absolutely. Thank you Tony and thank you Adam for the great workmanship!!

He has ordered stuff for me, and guided me in equipment purchases as I gear up to become a more serious rider. I would strongly recommend this shop when biking in the Santa Fe area!

I stumbled onto Clemente's shop while going from Joe's Diner to the Froghurt place nearby…read more (They're all in the same small shopping mall.) I talked to Clemente, learned he does a lot of repairs, and decided to give him a try because his is also the closest bike shop I know to my south County home. I didn't have long to wait. My "Bicycle from Hell," which has had at least a dozen flats in the less than two years I've owned it, had another one. This time, the stem had come out of the tube entirely and was lying on my garage floor. So it took the whole bike in to Clemente and also asked him to give the bike a "tune up" and fix some slippage in gears six and seven (out of eight) on the right-hand shifter. While I had lunch at Joe's he gave me a new tube with goop and managed to fix the shifting issue beautifully. The gears have never worked so smoothly and reliably since I bought the bike. And he gave me some advice about how to save my tubes, by not obsessively checking the pressure before every ride. Best of all, the charge was only in the mid fifties, including the new tube, or less than half of what the uptown bike shops charge for a tuneup. From now on Sirius will be my go-to repair shop.

ABSOLUTELY TOP-QUALITY MAINTENANCE…read more Early this year (2004) I bought a low-priced Trek Verve bicycle at a different (top-rated) bike shop in Santa Fe. They warned me that the tires were not the best, but I had three flats in just the few months I owned the bike. (I rode on somewhat older and bumpy pavement, never off road.) They ascribed the problem to a bad season for goat heads and sold me new tubes, with goop, for both tires. After one of the repaired tubes had my fourth flat, I asked friends for recommendations, and they referred me to Rob & Charlie's. Their expert Ray was a rank above, with a new diagnosis: The particular tires on my bike, he said, would let the tubes slip slightly on the rims, straining the valve stem and making micro holes in the tube near the stem, if not maintained above 60 PSI. While he was telling me this, he switched the tube with his bare hands in 5 minutes, and I was on my way. I got the bike home, eager to take a ride the next day, and checked with my hand pump that both tires were filled to 70 PSI. Yet when I went to ride the bike the next day, the front tire (the one Ray had fixed) had gone flat and leaked when I tried to pump it. So I called Ray, told him what had happened, and he told me to bring in the front wheel and tire (NOT the whole bike). He examined the new tube he had installed and found it defective. After examining another new tube of the same low-cost brand, and finding micro-leaks also near its stem, Ray upgraded me to a better-quality tube. Again, it took him less than five minutes. At my request, he also extracted the valve-grabbing part of my old Bontrager hand pump, cleaned it and fixed it before my eyes, again in less than five minutes. He charged me nothing for this second visit, the second, better new tube (with goop) or the pump fix, but apologized for my trouble. Ray is simply the best, most expert and quickest bike repair person I've ever encountered. In the future, I will take all my bike repairs to Ray, although I have great hopes that my "Bicycle from Hell," now with suitably pumped-up tires, will mend its ways.
