We received our confirmation text before our last appointment but needed to reschedule for 2 weeks due to a death in our family. When I texted to ask were we able to reschedule, as of today no one has responded. While wishing this business the best maybe it is for the best that my family of pups move on... She asked what day and time worked best, and we settled on the following day at 12. I got to the house a bit early and sat in my car for a while. I went and rang her door bell on the house, and her grooming trailer (which both have door bell cameras). Her neighbor was outside and told me she was not home yet. I sat in the car with my 2 dogs and eventually called about 10 minutes after my appointment was scheduled, she did not answer. I left a voicemail letting her know I had been waiting, and could wait a little longer if she had forgotten or was running behind. I waited another 15-20 minutes and eventually left. At that point, I had been waiting 30 minutes past my appointment. I decided I would wait a few days to write this review, to give her a chance to call and apologize to me, which she never did. As someone new to the area, this was an extreme let down. She had no regard to my time. If she didn't want to accept my dogs- she shouldn't have allowed me to schedule. I would not recommend The Pet Stylist LLC to anyone. There are plenty of other groomers in the area who would love the business, and respect your time. It is not easy to travel with two dogs!

Twenty…read moreminutes after I dropped off my dog, the owner, Amandalynn Moon, called me to tell me they were going to shave my dog's tail. The tail was not matted, and I told her I did not want the tail shaved and to just leave it alone and not trim it at all. She yelled at me, "Come get your dog now!" She actually threw my dog out just because I told her not to trim my dog's tail. This extreme inflexibility and hostility toward me and the fact that they now require clients to book their pets no more than 8 weeks apart, are conclusive evidence that this business does not prioritize customer desires and needs. I'm glad I found out what these people are like. My dog deserves better. I would give this business a minus rating if I could. The owner of Bark at the Moon gave a hostile and unprofessional response to my review and is further proof that this business is not interested in understanding or resolving problems. Here is my response: You have been waiting for my review? I'll bet you HAVE been because you aren't businesspeople. You are bullies! The fact that you want to argue about this proves that you do not know how to run a business. There are so many untruths and exaggerations in your response. How I spoke to YOU? On the phone, you brusquely stated that you were going to shave my dog's tail. You didn't ask whether I approved or offer to discuss it. I tried to let you off the hook by saying don't trim her tail at all. You then yelled at me to come get my dog and hung up the phone. Your demeanor was unacceptable. There was no previous warning or discussion about matting (I had been a customer for more than a year), and I would never have accepted a future appointment with you had I received such a threat that you would shave my dog. I brush my dog regularly, and her tail was not matted. The fact is you don't know how to deal with a Bichon's cottony, fine fur. You say you don't brush out a tail you consider matted (it was NOT matted). I didn't ask you to brush it or do anything to it. I said don't touch the tail. Don't trim it at all! But you didn't let it rest at that. Instead, you threw my dog out. I did NOT swear at any employee. After you called me, I came back expecting to pick up my dog without incident, and your husband, whom you had called in while I was on my way, greeted me in a belligerent manner, ordered me to pay for an unfinished grooming, and threatened to call the police. It is not your place to judge customers on how they care for their pets, especially when you don't know what you're talking about. Your last statement that you will not do what the owner wishes if it will harm the pet (based of course on your opinion only), says all one needs to know about you. I told you NOT to trim her tail at all, so I did not ask you to do anything that could harm her. Surely even your confused mind can understand that not touching her tail does no harm.
