Terrible experience - unprofessional and disrespectful staf…read moreI scheduled an annual checkup with Irene Spanos after having trouble finding a primary care doctor. I arrived 10 minutes early, was brought back within five minutes to take my vitals, and then was told--without prior notice--that this was being treated as a "new patient appointment," not a checkup. That was confusing, since I had clearly booked a checkup. After that, I was left alone in a small exam room for over 40 minutes without any updates. I finally went to the front desk to find out what was happening and to confirm the nature of my appointment. I was told Irene was "behind" and that they don't do annual checkups until after a new patient intake, which no one mentioned at any point before or during the visit. Most doctors do both at once, since it involves the same information. They told me Irene would now see me, so I returned to the room--only to overhear Irene Spanos badmouthing me, clearly frustrated that I had "left the room," even though I had been sitting there for 40 minutes without any communication. To make things worse, some staff members overheard what she said and apologized to me, which shows this wasn't just a misunderstanding--it was unprofessional conduct. This experience made me feel disrespected, dismissed, and uncomfortable, and I will not be returning. I highly suggest finding another provider if you're looking for a professional and respectful medical office. Don't waste your time or money here.

You need 3 visits minimum to beg to get your hormones checked when doc clearly is reluctant despite 101 symptoms. Then the doc puts in a referral for you to go elsewhere when those levels are off like you knew they were. I called to discuss and no deal. This is just a patient mill. I can't even call to get something called Into the pharmacy.. they want another waste of time visit Even for something simple! this place is a pain.

I've been a patient here (Daniel Island location Primary Health with Dr Hund) for some time, and I…read morewant to be very honest about my experience. Dr. Hund is a wonderful doctor in person --knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive. I have always felt heard and respected during my actual appointments. Unfortunately, the office communication has been extremely disappointing. I have been corresponding for over a week trying to get an important medication refill. Over the last few days, I made it very clear that this was an emergency and that I was struggling with my mental health -- and I was still blatantly ignored. This is now the second serious issue I've had with lack of response and delayed follow-through. It feels like the practice has become too busy or too popular to properly manage patient needs. When it comes to timely prescriptions, especially for mental health, there is no excuse for this level of neglect. If you choose to go here, be prepared for the possibility of delayed or ignored messages and not receiving time-sensitive medications when you desperately need them. That is unacceptable, and I truly hope the office addresses this issue.

I considered physical therapy, but, opted to try acupuncture, first, as it's been helpful in the past. While there are many practitioners offering this alternative medicine, I wanted an MD certified to perform this procedure, preferably, one that is associated with MUSC. I found an MD that did acupuncture as part of his family practice located in Daniel Island. As with appointments for new patients in all disciplines, I had to wait two months for the first appointment. There's plenty of parking. I pre-checked in through the patient portal. I waited just a few minutes for the triage tech and then, the doctor. The procedure was fine. Dr. Bunt asked me to return in 2 weeks. The only downside, and perhaps, a show stopper, is that the doctor only performs acupuncture on Monday mornings and Tuesday afternoons ... he's heavily booked and I wasn't able to get an appointment until September 16. Oh, well ...
