Dr. Lominchar will not provide you with same day or next day appointments. It took me three weeks to be seen in person for reasons partially explained below. Your appointment will not be on time. You will like wait at least 45 minutes to be seen. She will not spend extra time with you to review your personal health. When I told her I was experiencing hair loss she asked if I had just started a new relationship. I, in fact, have had a history of thyroid issues which was never addressed. When I said I was not in a new relationship, she put me in a room with headphones on to listen to a "brain tapping" message that said "you can still have a big heart even if you're not esthetically pleasing." In addition, the cost of my GENERIC medication nearly doubled from my previous appointment (making it essentially the same price as the brand name) which was never communicated to me. They said it was because the medication was back ordered. I received it in two days. And when I asked to be refunded for the $950 I had paid to be part of the "special" program since I had received ZERO of the promised benefits, she said she would allow that and I was given the number to call to make the request only to learn that she had lied to me and I would only be refunded for the remainder of that specific period. Meanwhile, there were messages posted at the office 4 months after the start of the program stating that other patients still had time to sign up for the program which I was told I had to sign up for immediately in order to be seen. Furthermore, good luck getting ahold of anyone in the office. If you leave a message with them, they promise to get back to you within 24-48 hours. If you have a life or an job and happen to miss the call, you end up waiting another 24-48 hours. Only once has anyone actually ever answered the phone. Finally, I was told that even though I would know longer be part of her "Specialized Care Program" I could still see her for weight loss. Yet when I called to get my refill for that medication, Dr. Lomichar said she could no longer assist me with that after all and that I should find another prescriber. WITH PLEASURE. The saddest part is that I was actually excited about the program that Lominchar was selling. Too bad she and her team are not equipped to actually provide that program in the least.

Needless to say, that did NOT sit well at all. Also, the medical assistant neglected to introduce the other person in the room, who I figured out to be a nurse in training but it was very odd. Overall, I really do like Dr. Lominchar I just wish the wait wasn't two hours and her staff stayed in their lane.

She listens carefully and respectfully to me. Informing me about any necessary follow-up care. Explaining things in a way that is easy to understand. Involving you in making decisions about my health. Providing details about new medications prescribed. If there is a scale in 1 to 10 , I would rate 10 for them - entire staff I would recommend Dr. Tina Botelho to others. It was really ease of scheduling this appointment. Ability to communicate with the practice on the phone. Maintaining patient privacy throughout this visit Being informed about any delays during this visit Each member of my care team identified themselves and their role in my care. to mention a few staff members are the following: Mrs. Yolanda outstanding manager. Mr. Jason -who calls me Homie brother. and Blood tester - lady who speaks Spanish. The phone and scheduling staff were respectful and courteous- either Mrs. Yolanda or Mr. Jason - both are outstanding as always. The doctors, nurses, and other staff did a good job coordinating care during my visit. Check-in staff were respectful and courteous - Mr. Jason Homie brother and Mrs. Yolanda- outstanding like a sister. The staff clearly explained the details of any procedures. The nursing staff was respectful and courteous - Mrs. Yolanda -great manager.

    Went there to get some blood work done, secretary was more concerned with her lunch order and…read moremaking sure she had extra sauce for her wings than to take waiting patients info. When she finally had the time, I had a document on my phone that was needed and she couldn't print it out citing "people abusing the privilege". I ask her if she knew where I could quickly print this out, she had no idea. I left the building a little miffed, looked across the street and saw a Post Net place, got my doc printed. Went back in with printed documentation and was greeted kindly by another secretary taking over for the last, who probably went to lunch. She took care of me quickly along with the nurse, who acted kindly and professionally. Gonna give 5 stars on behalf of the hard working people I encountered after I came back printing my documents.

It was stressful--especially when the goal of screening individuals at check in is to minimize exposure to illness. I politely addressed the situation with the staff who indicated they were equally as frustrated. This is not a primary care office where you would expect people to arrive sick. MUSC needs to assess how they're managing the waiting area. Will be providing my feedback via the survey as well. Overall time spent with the doctor was roughly 5 minutes.
