I have never watched cricket in my life, but wow was this tour awesome! I loved seeing the grounds, locker rooms, suites, and private rooms, plus everything else. It rained the entire time I was here, but you get to see literally the entire stadium.

Absolutely loved attending my first AFL match in Melbourne! Seats are comfortable and roomy enough. Plenty of bathrooms, even for females! There was a decent selection of food and drinks and honestly the lines moved rather quickly. Definitely a nice venue and made experiencing the game all the more fun!

Melbourne Cricket Ground is the home of the Australian Football team for the city along with the Cricket team. The facility seats over 100,000 people and contains the Australian Sports Museum by Gate entrance 2. Conferences use the indoor facility, and access is pretty easy from downtown Melbourne. There are tributes to famous Olympic Athletes who competed in the 1956 Olympic Games at this site. I did enjoy my time spent at this facility.

the HOME of sport is Australia. From hosting test match cricket and Australian Football for over 150 years to hosting the 1956 Olympics - the MCG has seen it all!!! I have been visiting the ground for almost 50 years and it hosts many great memories and the sounds of the passionate crowd makes my hair stand on end. I had the privilege to introduce the ground to my 3 boys for test cricket today

Great place to watch a game. Ever one that is a blow out like the Geelong Richmond footy game.

Now I could be a little bias here, being a born & bred Victorian and all, but easily my favourite stadium in the world. Drinks & food are a little on the exy side, but nothing out of the ordinary for a sports stadium. For AFL, the best seats are level 2 (N) on the wing, but even if you're stuck in nosebleed on Q, it could be worse (like top level at Etihad). I've spent a lot of time in standing room, and the odd occasion in the presidents / Olympic room, and equally love them all! I've been lucky enough to do the tours of Fenway & Wrigley, and the MCG sports tour has just as much history to match both of these. The sports museum itself is pretty awesome, including lots of hands on for the kids, or kids at heart! I've seen countless Aussie Rules games here (from pre season to Grand Finals) as well as cricket & soccer (football), and I still think there is nothing better than the sound of tens of thousands of fans clapping & cheering at the first bounce. Regardless of your sport, the MCG is a must for any sports fan! My only gripe would be the lack of internet signal / wifi when it's full - get with the 21st century! Take the tram or the train - there is parking but by the time you get out you'd be home (or at the pub) by the time you got put of the carpark Fun Fact - if you're in AFL members, head to the Hayden Bunton bar after the game (and before / at half time) for full strength beers!

I've never been a cricket fan. I mean, I'm American, I really don't even understand more than a tiny bit of the game. That being said, I understood how important this place was...how massive it was...how special it was, just from being a sports fan. And, I do like AFL. So, I finally got here thanks to an AFL game - Collingwood v. Sydney a couple weeks ago. I bought a ticket fairly last minute, and ended up with an okay seat. Really, I just wanted the experience, so it as fine. Getting here is a breeze via public transit, or walking from CBD. Food options aren't incredible, but good enough, and of typical (expected) price, though maybe not as crazy as I would have thought. The beer selection could definitely be improved, by far. All in all, this place is great. If you appreciate sport, you have to come to MCG. Even if it's just doing a tour...but I do recommend seeing something here, be it cricket, AFL, whatever. Just come!

We were told that the MCG i the most glorious place in the world to watch a cricket match, and when we found ourselves in town during the Cricket World Cup with tickets still available, we couldn't pass up the chance to attend! The stadium lived up to expectations! Clean and spacious with tons of great eateries from fast food to high end and everything in between. Helpful attendants, clean surrounds and ample bathrooms round out the experience. PARTING THOUGHT: The traffic can be very heavy before games, so consider taking the tram to avoid sitting in traffic for long periods...

At the World Cup Final March 29th , 2015. Australia V New Zealand

I attended the 2015 Cricket World Cup Final here, Australia Vs New Zealand and had an amazing time. The venue is one of the most awesome stadiums/grounds I've even been to in the world and I've been to 40+ around the world. The only small problem I had was the security and police were standing at the end of the stairs right in our view for much of the game. He would sit down, stand up so we had to him to move several dozen times or move to watch the play. Terrible design for that. Everything else was great.

As far as sports grounds in Australia go, there is nothing better then the MCG! I have been to countless games of football at the MCG since they year 2000 and have seen it undergo an amazing transformation! Lots of ticket options for AFL games at varying price ranges! I would recommend finding your way there via public transport as traffic can be a nightmare and taxi's are almost non existent if there is an event with a large crowd expected! Go early to take in the atmosphere outside the ground with multiple food vendors and all sorts of activities taking place! There are also multiple food options inside the ground with restaurants, bars and cheaper takeaway options available. Given that I live in Perth and go to Subiaco Oval a lot I am in awe of the MCG and how well this stadium runs compared to our hometown venue!

When the roar rises at the 'G', you are witnessing something sacred to the people of Melbourne. Home of Australia Rules Football (Footy) in the winter and Cricket in the summer, sport is something of a religion in this city. 10 of the soon to be 18 teams in the AFL are from melbourne, and a game here between any of those teams, but more specifically the huge clubs like essendon, collingwood, carlton or richmond is like a clash of the titans, with roars from the 100,000 plus seat stadium filling the air. Take tourists to a big game, take your family for a sunday afternoon, it doesnt matter, just go and be part of the spirit. The stadium is huge, the people are passionate, and Melbourne wouldnt be the same without it. GO BOMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great venue. Saw Liverpool play Melbourne Victory here. The place is build to hold 95,000 people, what can you say. It's got everything a big venue needs and great transportation when the masses flood out of the place.

Hawks won and I was happy along with many others. Lower the prices I am not paying that much for a pie. But the hoks winning saved it
