I think it would be a challenge for anyone to find a jeweler that knows more about diamonds than Melanie. The ring I picked for my fiancee came with a GIA report and a laser inscription on the diamond. She spent many email exchanges with me going over the options for a certain ring. Not even getting into how beautifully the settings are done and the care given to the selection of stones and matching them with her designs. As for cost, considering the quality of the ring and the diamond and that each one is unique, I think that the prices are more than fair. Not to digress but anyone complaining about price in my opinion is just completely uneducated about diamonds (good luck getting a D color VS1 stone at Zales, tempted to use the pearls before a certain farm animal here...) Melanie resized the ring and had it to me in just under a week (during the holidays I might add). Looking forward to choosing a wedding band from Melanie in the near future, feel very lucky to have found her!

My wedding ring is the vine band and I could not love it more. It is so different than anything else I had seen and looks perfect with my slightly more modern engagement ring that was crafted by our local jeweler. The ring came quickly, sized perfectly and packaged very nicely.

I received my Melanie Casey ring as a gift. The ring itself is stunning--even prettier than pictured online. The aquamarine stone is a deep blue, and sparkles like crazy. I have gotten so many compliments! -1 star because the prices are high. I understand the rings are handmade, but a similar ring elsewhere would probably cost less. That said, the ring is great quality. Other small things I didn't love: While we had no problems with getting the ring, it took a couple weeks (~2.5) after ordering for it to get to us. We weren't updated on when to expect it until right when it shipped. This made it difficult to plan because someone had to be there to sign for the package! Another thing to consider. Dealing with a jeweler located far away can be difficult. If you need to get your ring resized, you have to pay to mail it back to them. For us, that would have been $30 each way, even though the sizing itself was free. For our engagement ring, we'll probably stick with a local jeweler, so communication/repairs/resizing is easier.

During this unprecedented time of COVID-19, they were able to craft an environment that is both comfortable and personal. Associates wear face shields and masks, following CDC protocols for proper handling and sanitation. The associate I worked with was Dan. He was extremely helpful with my inquiry on timepieces. Attentive, patient, and knowledgeable, I was even more impressed that he took the time to help me on his day off ( since the associates are not commission based) to help me find/purchase a Grand Seiko. Royal Jewelers is the only authorized dealer of Grand Seiko watches( my personal favorite timepiece) in MA. I have had multiple experiences both online and in person at authorized dealers of Grand Seiko in NYC, Texas and Florida but never had the as thorough enjoyable of an experience as I had with Dan at Royal Jewelers. I would highly recommend him to anyone. I also had a brief opportunity to speak with one of the owners of the shop. He was friendly and pleasant to speak with. I was impressed with the care he has for his business. It is rare these days to find people who truly love what they do and at Royal Jewelers, you could tell that they care about the customer and the services they provide. I've purchased several timepieces before ( mainly Rolex and Omega) and Royal Jewelers is without a doubt the best luxury watch shopping experience I have had. If you are in the market for luxury watches, ask for Dan and he'll hook you up. You should visit Royal Jewelers.

They're just there to push metal and rocks with no genuine concern for the customer. My wife went to Royal Jewelers with her engagement ring and the ring marking the birth of our daughter. She's had them for 27 and 24 years, and she left with both rings destroyed and needing to be rebuilt from scratch. The rings were joined together and she wore them often, but this past time she wasn't able to easily remove them. She wanted them resized and expected they would remove them by cutting them, easing them off and then add a small section to make them larger. Instead, after they were cut, their senior "expert jeweler" went after them with two pairs of pliers like he was using the "Jaws of Life" and tore open a 1/2-inch gap in the ring putting sharp bends and scratches all around the ring, including hard bends in the settings and basically destroying the entire ring set. Now she's home in tears with her ring, absolutely ruined by this yahoo, and needing it to be rebuilt from scratch. To make their failure even more painful for us, the ring was originally made by a good friend of ours who has since passed away. He was an actual professional jeweler that I'm certain could have easily have managed this task. When I called to speak with this jeweler, I got a complete song and dance of "Well I had to be careful not to cut her finger with the sharp edges" and "I told her some of the set stones may come a little loose". Seriously? He should have told her "I'm going to open up your ring like a pinata and you will never wear it again." And the nonchalant attitude of not my problem "well these things can happen" I got from him on the phone was beyond the pale. He could have easily slipped a thin strip of stainless steel under the cut to protect her and eased the ring off. Or, he could have cut the ring on both the left and right side so it would come off in two pieces. This is a simple job that just needs some care and can be done in many ways. Royal could have done better with bolt cutters! So, I would say to any potential customer, Royal Jewelers may be suitable for retailing pre-manufactured items or working on costume jewelry, but for anything with sentimental or monetary value just stay away. And to Royal Jewelers, I just say this, if you cannot do a job right, then just say so and don't take the job.

Just for cultural perspective I'm a 41 year old healthcare/tech entrepreneur, I am in the heart of the art, maker and innovation community. I live with 2 younger tech professionals, a programer who works in startups, and who is also a profesional electronic music DJ on the side and the other who creates high end audio systems as his day job and LARPing events for children and adults on the side. My landlord lives in the same building and she works as artist's business coach and is a local art impresario and her partner is a ex financier turned Buddhist priest, their single roommate is a professional painter who also runs gallery events and has a weekly local television show about art, culture, tech and politics. We all live and work in the Cambridge/Somerville area. In other words I have plenty of access to high end jewelry here and yet I drive 30 min each way to see Kay, and get her expert counseling and amazing fashion forward pieces. Her stock is amazing, there are items that are conservative enough to wear to premier healthcare workshops and government meetings, even formal inaugural balls, and items that you could wear to a punk/electronic music venue in Brooklyn. And what's amazing is many of the pieces are so classy and so artistic you could actually wears the same pieces to both of these seemingly polar extremes. At least a third to over a half of her stock is made in the US and some are even more local to our region. And some is also from overseas, I was actually treated to be introduced to one of her artist/suppliers from Tel Aviv as I was leaving yesterday, he makes beautiful hand wrought silver items... incredibly elegant and gorgeous! Every time I visit (and sometimes I visit multiple times to make a single purchase as I'm discriminating and often have a hard time choosing) Kay spends between 30 min to an hour helping me find the right pieces. I pull up pictures of my partner so Kay can help me match color/style to my partners hair, completion and clothing style. She then helps me decide on wrapping and presentation and then send me home confident and excited to make my special ones explode with happiness. I hope you will be as happy as I am, but I will be shocked if you aren't!

All I can say is that I was pretty distraught at the time because I never thought that I would be able to replace it exactly. Luckily, my wife's rang was the same as mine so we took a few pictures And sent them to this jeweler and magically they were able to replace the ring with an even better model. All I can say is there is one word that tells all about this jeweler and that word is quality. Check out the picture below.and you will see what a great job they did helping me to replace this very important piece of jewelry that never came off my finger for nearly 35 years. All I can say is the ring that they made for me is better than the original and when they say they make custom jewelry, they don't just make regular custom jewelry. They make stupendous custom jewelry. That said, I am telling you go to the showroom and talk to Amina because she is a superstar. Before you buy any jewelry check out what they have to offer because everything they have is unique and of very high quality. I was very sad when I first reached out to them, but they may be very happy with the quality of product that they created from scratch. Check out the picture below for proof.
