They're no such of friendly people, the store stinks very bad. The good thing is that we can find a lot of items and options.

This is considered to be one of the most popular Vietnamese grocery store in Worcester. This grocery store has gone through many changes throughout the years. They used to be located a block away from here in a tiny store back in the 1980's. In the 90's they expanded the store and grew their operations into another building. The grocery store has a airport hangar type of feeling similar to going to BJ's or Costco. You can find almost every type of Southeast Asian food here, from fresh banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) to frozen boxes of imported squid. They also have a fresh fish market in the back. They will even descale the fish for you unlike most fish markets. This place also sell various types of Asian cookware and other household needs. Parking here can be a challenge since they have a tiny off street parking lot. The parking lot is situated at a 20 degree angle so you might want to be careful of runaway shopping carts hitting your car. Street parking is also hard to find here since you are in downtown Worcester. Overall I prefer to shop here than at the other two popular Vietnamese grocery stores in Worcester since this place has a off street parking lot. read more

Browsing through the aisles, I saw goods from all over Asia, Korean Kimchi, Japonese deserts, and all sorts of Chinese, Thai, Cambodian, Vietnamese, etc. They have a large produce department with competitive prices on tropical fruits and veggies. In the back it has fresh fish as well as an assortment of frozen meats and other goods. There is also a good section of Asian cookware and serveware for great prices considering how much American stores charge you for this stuff. This is one of the very few grocery stores that I've seen carry Nguyen Vietnamese coffee. The C-Mart's in Boston and the 99 Market in Lynn don't seem to carry it anymore. They also carry Yummy Jack-fruit chips! All in all, as far as Asian groceries goes, it was very bright and clean. Prices usually clearly marked and within range of other Asian markets. So far, it is not missing anything from what I would expect from an Asian Market and will be my first stop whenever doing any sort of Asian cooking. read more

Felt the need to update...I went again today since I think this might be the most varietal Asian market in Worcester, though that's not saying much. It wasn't as smelly today, so I guess it depends on the day. But in case that scared anyone away...it isn't always as bad as my first experience. Still only a 3 star joint though. Great selection of asian and ethnic food! My go-to asian market in the area. Food is always fresh. Their salmon is great and they also have thin-cut meats for hotpot which is a huge plus! Glad they are in the area! Would definitely recommend. read more

Had everything I was looking for. Frozen Durian to make cream puffs, Tapico starch and rice flour for Banh Canh noodles. Banh Xeo mix...can't wait to try these and Quoci Viet soup base. read more

We just left the store. My wife is from Laos and we shop here about 25 times a year to get food and stuff you can't get in the regular American supermarkets. The cashier totaled up everything and we looked at the receipt and something didn't seem right it felt as if we were overcharged for something. We totaled up every item and the subtotal that was on the receipt was $11 more than what the actual total was on both of our calculators. So we went in and asked for a refund, the cashier pointed me to the assistant manager and he refunded the $11 to me and was very sympathetic. If you go there just make sure your receipt totals are correct by doing the math on your own. Maybe they need to update the software on their cash registers but but what was displayed on the receipt did not add up to the subtotal that the receipt listed. Somehow $11 was added without the receipt reflecting an 11.00 charge. Still good food though. read more

This market is ok. We have some very nice markets in Alaska, and this one was not exactly what I expected. The smell of fish/seafood hits you as soon as you reach the front door (and this is not a small store) There was lots of fresh seafood available to purchase, and lots of large whole fish like red snapper. They carry lots of fresh vegetables, and fruits, but I was hoping for more Korean type foods, or bahn shan for purchase, which I was unable to find. We did find some good jarred Kim chee, but that was about all we bought at this market. They did have a good variety of many different things though, and overall I feel its a pretty decent asian market. read more

Love this Asian market in town. It has a very large selection of veggies and seafood. The seafood is always fresh! I hope they can carry more Chinese brand spice, noodles in the future. read more

This place is pretty good as far as Worcester goes - obviously everything is on a much smaller scale then Boston or NYC. It's an interesting mix of Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, and who knows what else. I personally miss a few favorite Chinese snacks/drinks/sauces, but all in all, I can't complain! It's got the basics at decent prices - fresh Asian greens, kimchi, ramen, tofu, noodles, candies, sauces, frozen goods. And, there's a parking lot! read more

Fantastic Asian Market in Worcester! Great selection of fish sauces (go with Red Boat), various species of fresh fish at prices well below the supermarkets and a good selection of both fresh vegetables and ramen. PS: Daikon is known here as Chinese radish. read more

Great place and selection, could use a good cleaning, horrible location beware

I moved here from Midwest last August. I was very disappointed by the quality of the Asian markets in New England to n general. The good ones are always one hour away by driving ($6 for the toll fee for a round trip) and difficult to park. Also more expensive. Mekong 2 is the relatively larger one with more goods and affordable prices. But it's never as good as the five star rated by others (weird thing! What happened to the taste of this town?) The owner doesn't greet the customer or never smiled. They have no idea about taking care of the customers. They never picked up the phone, nor there's any way for you to know the holidays hours unless you drive down there. It's always depressing looking inside with shady customers around. It shows the economic status of this town though. Now I'm used to the shopping environment, but that's pretty sad. read more
