But they didn't stay long, neither did we. You can come here for the view but probably won't spend too long, no more than 30 minutes.

A designated stop on the Oregon Scenic Byways Program, there are telescopes you can use. Named after the Jonsrud family who lived in Sandy in 1877, one of the original pioneer families Who built and lived in a prairie style home that is still visible across the street. So that everyone could enjoy this magnificent and expansive views, their son donated the viewpoint property to the city of Sandy in 1984. What a gift! There is a small parking area but there are typically not a lot of cars so I've never had any issues parking here. Go! The view is incredible in every season! Especially in the fall and always at sunset.

Plenty of water/river access, but you can't really walk along the river if that was your plan. There is a large picnic shelter that was closed up with locked gates, so I'm not sure if that can be reserved for use. The restroom at the shelter was also locked, but there were 2 port-a-potties in the park (one at the front & one in the back).

I think there could be better sign posts at forks - I took one wrong turn, and ended up in a muddy area, rather than continuing across the street. Nevertheless, it's a lovely walking path, bringing nature close to civilization and I'll be back to get my steps in!

The view of nature at its finest was very amazing, indeed. Basically, it was perfect for nature photographers, as that means so many opportunities to take photos of nature. Everywhere you look, there are trees, flowers and plants as far as the eye can see. Plus, nature sure is amazing, as well as very inspiring too. Another good reason why I find it to be amazing is that if you look really hard, you can find a painted rock. And speaking of which, the painted rocks sure are beautiful. Besides bringing painted rocks to Tickle Creek Park & Trail and putting them in places where others can find them, people also take photos of the painted rocks they find (as photos make great souvenirs). In conclusion, I highly recommend Tickle Creek Park & Trail for all those nature lovers out there. And I give it five stars as well (although ten stars would be even better).

This is a few forested trails, one that leads to the river, but not an actual "park" as the name…read morewould imply. Parking is at a dead-end in the neighborhood where the main trailhead is. The trail to the river is down a slope for quite a distance, so the hike back up the incline is a workout. No restroom or toilet facility.

Meh...not so impressed today…read more Stopped for a hike and some scenery. You can get in a decent hike here, but at this time of year the scenery wasn't so great. Based off what I saw, I'm sure at other times of year it would be much prettier. You have to keep a pretty slow pace right now, as the trails are very muddy...ice covered mud in quite a few places. The main Sandy River trail is more like a road, with a viewpoint of the river near the bottom. The Jim Slagle loop was a single file trail, and slightly more enjoyable than the main trail. A lot of mud, not the greatest scenery, and the occasional trash made for a "not one of my favorites" hike...especially in the land of gorgeous trails.
