I told him that I had the text messages on my phone that said they were ready. He said no, they did not send me any texts. After waiting a couple of minutes he said that he had found the prescriptions but there was no apology from him for his mistake. He said they would be ready in "2 to 3 minutes." After waiting exactly 10 minutes I buzzed him again and he said he was busy "up front" and would get them now. About this time a car pulled up to the other drive through station and I saw the man send something in the tube. A couple of minutes later his tube came back and he removed a prescription from it and left. I buzzed the guy again and he said that since that customer only had one prescription he took care of him first. I told him that since I had arrived first I should be waited on first. He said that that was not his policy. Then he said that the 4 SMALL prescription bottles would not fit in the tube together and I would have to pull up to the front door of the store and he would bring them out to me. I told him that I go there every 3 months and they always put up to all 5 of my prescriptions in the tube at once and he said no they don't. So I drove to the front door and a black guy in his 30s came out with an upset look on his face and handed me the 4 small bottles without saying anything and walked away. I was there a total of 22 minutes which is ridiculous. Would someone there in a position of authority please speak to this guy and tell him that he needs to improve his customer relation skills? Thank you.

Pharmacy Per Per…read morePharmacy, meds would be delivered on Monday. They were not. They had received script from my doc several days prior but failed to order on time. When I'm out, life is miserable. When I called to inquire, (they didn't call me to let me know, ) clerk was extremely rude, & grilled me with questions about the medication and my dosage. First, if there are issues with the script, call the doctor, I have no control over that. Second, that issue had nothing to do with the fact that they forgot to order it. When I went to the pharmacy to pick up a partial, I felt physically terrible. I became tearful out of anger and frustration. The clerk I had just spoken to on the phone looked at me, laughed and rolled her eyes. I need to say that again. I was crying, she laughed and rolled her eyes. I completed my purchase and left. I was so rattled I waited three days to approach pharmacy manager to discuss calmly. This is what happened: First, she raved about the kind and loving employee. Second, she mumbled a three second apology. Third, she said there were notations in my file where in the past I had been "belligerent."This also has nothing to do with their failure to order on time. FYI the "belligerent"episode, which had occurred about a year prior, happened because the pharmacy failed again to order on time, so I would be in active withdrawal from OxyContin cold turkey for 24 to 48 hours post-surgery. I asked her if under those circumstances she might be upset. Blank stare. Finally, she says if I'm unhappy, I can go someplace else. In a way, her behavior was even more unsettling than her clerk's. She had heard about the situation before I came in so she was aware and had time to reflect. She lectured me like I was a child called into the principal's office, making it clear she did not give one flying flip about the customer. She has plenty of those and doesn't need me, this is true. But I was still hoping she would do the right thing. I was looking for "I'm sorry you had a bad experience. That was unacceptable." How did we get to this place as a culture when these people who deal everyday with folks who are seriously ill, some terminally, think it's OK to be absolutely horrible? When sometimes life is such a struggle that you become emotional, it's OK for someone to laugh at you? If you use that pharmacy you should know that if you are having a bad day, some body that could be your grandchild, without input or supervision, can mark your file with their own opinion, and that notation stays there. Then later if you ever have a problem, they'll use that and throw it in your face to avoid accountability. Sad.

And if you've ever been around a young kiddo with an ear infection, you know it's not fun. My daughter is allergic to amoxicillin, so we have to get a different antibiotic when this happens. And due to supply chain issues, her antibiotic is in short supply. (What isn't in short supply these days?!?!) No Walgreens had this in stock, and my pediatrician office suggested that I check with Art Jacob and call some smaller pharmacies. I wish I knew who I spoke with, but he was so courteous. They did not have it in stock but could get it in by tomorrow, which is more than many pharmacies I talked to could do. The pharmacist even went a step farther and made a few calls on my behalf to see if any other pharmacies might have it in stock. I ended up connecting with another local pharmacy that did have it in stock -- thank goodness! -- but it meant so much that this pharmacy would help me out as best they could. They also said they would get it in stock in case anyone else came to them with similar needs. The next time I have a pharmacy need, I'm going to be coming here. Thanks for taking the time to help me out!

I've been using Mathes for two years and many of the same employees are still there. A huge plus! *signing for delivered medications is easy and quick. *they're quick to correct any errors, without any inconvenience to the customer. *a couple of times they ran out of a particular medication, which they restocked and delivered within a couple of days. *I think their prices are very competitive, if not better, than their competitors. A couple of times I called to compare prices and Mathes was definitely lower. They also price matched in order to keep my business. I loved that! I HIGHLY recommend Mathes. They're building a new store front. The new store is located in the same location - further back in the large parking lot. It's really nice to see local businesses pour money back into their business through expansion that'll not only help themselves, but benefit the customers as well.

So we were forced to use CVS, since that is the company that purchased my vehicle idea company. She was now an employee of the nations largest pharmacy chain. What we found was that this company was out of medications more than once. One time we had to wait a week and a half for a common medication to be refilled because they were out! 10 days without a medication, when there are numerous other pharmacies in the area owned by the same company. So fortunately CVS sold the company after a year, and we are able to go back to Mathes. As soon as my medications run out, I'll be there. Why go to Mathes? Because it's NOT a big box store pharmacy. You may not be wowed this it's customer service, but they are always friendly and very helpful. They will definitely take care of you. Plus they are local, which is a bonus to me. I had one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've had in a long time at Sam's…read moreClub. I had a tire repair appointment and realized I was going to be about 30 minutes late. Before making the drive, I tried calling the tire center to let them know and see if they could still accommodate me. I sat on hold for over 10 minutes and never got through to anyone. Since I couldn't reach the department, I drove to the store anyway. I'm a disabled customer whose mobility varies from day to day. Depending on the situation, I may use one cane, two canes, a wheelchair, or a motorized scooter. When I arrived, I used one of the store's motorized scooters to get from the entrance to the tire center. After making the trip, I was informed that because I was late, they would not be able to service my vehicle. While I understand that appointments have schedules, it was incredibly frustrating knowing that a simple phone call could have saved me the drive and effort had someone actually answered the phone. Unfortunately, that wasn't even the worst part of the experience. After learning my tire would not be repaired, I attempted to return the motorized scooter near the entrance closest to my vehicle. My car was parked directly across from that entrance, making it the safest and shortest walk for me. An employee stopped me and insisted that I take the scooter all the way around to a different exit that was significantly farther away from my vehicle. I explained multiple times that I am disabled, that I use a cane, and that my car was literally right in front of me. I wasn't shopping, carrying merchandise, or attempting to misuse the scooter. I simply wanted to take the most accessible route back to my vehicle. Despite this, the employee continued arguing with me and repeatedly insisted that I walk the longer distance. What made the interaction even more upsetting was the complete lack of empathy. As someone who is still working hard to regain mobility and independence, being told to walk farther when a closer accessible option was right in front of me felt incredibly dismissive. Several customers nearby appeared just as confused by the interaction as I was. This experience wasn't just inconvenient--it was disheartening. Accessibility isn't just about having scooters available; it's about treating disabled customers with understanding, respect, and common sense. Between the tire center not answering its phones and the way I was treated afterward, I left feeling frustrated, embarrassed, and unwelcome. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because no customer should leave feeling the way I did, especially one who is already navigating physical challenges just to get through their day.
