By far the worst Meijer I ever visit. The customer service is next to nothing there they are so rude and ignorant and lazy.

This location which was once a well run store has taken an unfortunate turn. There are never enough cashiers and lately they are not stocked very well either. Lots of empty shelves and even whole sections of aisles with missing items. I don't understand why they don't utilize both sides of self checkout. Seems silly to have two sides of a massive store if you can only self checkout on one side. This creates massive lines at both cashier lanes that are open-literally the line goes into store aisles. The employees do seem to be generally friendly but that can only go so far when it's literally impossible to leave the store. You'll spend more time in line than actual shopping here. read more

The Meijer that I have been shopping at for the last three years is a brand new store, but despite this, it is typically very dirty, understaffed, and out of stock of many items on a regular basis. The people who work at the store are all very nice and hard-working. They go out of their way to help you even though they are always very busy, so based on my experience working in retail, it leads me to believe that this is an issue with the corporation itself, or with upper management. Another thing that I find gross about the store is their Pet Department, which frequently has diseased and dying fish on the shelves... It makes you wonder: If they can't even keep their public merchandise healthy and clean, I wonder what goes on in the back! Once I walked by the Pet Department to get something for my dog and there was a plastic bag full of dead fish in the sink. Another time I walked by and I counted over fifteen dead fish on the shelves- we're talking white, glazed-over eyes. Gross! I honestly hope that a new grocery store opens up nearby so that I don't have to see this when I'm shopping anymore. I definitely do not recommend this store to any of my friends or family. read more

Very clean store great addition to the area. Fresh food and everything else you can use for your home. It's a much better version than Walmart. There's a Starbucks inside, a pizza and pretzel staton and a real friendly staff. read more

As we slowly move out of the pandemic Meijer is staying strong even though prices were/are a little high because of the embargo with China, they did a great job keeping the shelves stocked with items from the United States and offered new products due to this. I miss the 24 hour availability now they have changed their hours to being closed from 12 midnight to 6am but I understand that a ton of money is probably saved during those few hours that I am unfortunately used to shopping during. The store has almost everything that I need anytime that I go there with the exception of a few different cleaning chemicals, this selection could be a bit better and more well stocked. It would be nice to have a cooler for milk up at the front as it's a long walk to the most rear place in the store to get it. The store needs to work with the Red Bull vendor as the large packages are almost never in stock. Overall the store is well organized and neatly displayed. The bakery always has fresh items! The center aisles are always updated with large quantities of their sale items which rotate at appropriate intervals. The best thing and the worst thing about the store is that when I go in there for just an item or two I usually end up leaving with a bunch of things I didn't know that I needed because I ended up passing them walking through the store. Prices could be a bit better compared to Wally World when it comes to food I end up spending about 30% more give or take. Employees are generally friendly but on the quiet side and are hard to find beyond the register. I honestly don't know how they keep the store stocked because I rarely see anybody stocking anything. Overall I'm really glad they are right across the street and continue to make my shopping experiences efficient and pleasant! read more

Meijer was considered one of my favorite stores. I was at self checkout and the attendant helping was relocating frivolous items near the area. When i scanned my alcohol, of course, it needed an attendant. My light went on and I called the lady. Apparently she didn't hear me. When she got close enough to my register I tried again and I saw her look directly up at my help light flashing. A white woman from 6 aisles down yelped and she ran right to her. When she finally came back, she preached "thank you for your patience". I had no choice, she deliberately ignored my black face and ran right to her cousin. Disgusted. As a matter of fact, another black customer around me was pushed to the back burner to walk back down 6 or more aisles to help another damsel in distress...that looked like her. The lady was older snd the way she handled it made her look like a scatter brain. read more

This particular Meijer was a nightmare. I had purchased a smart tv from this store a little less than 3 months ago. I also purchased the extended protection warranty. I had an issue with my tv and I took it back to the store on 06/26/2021. When I purchased the tv and warranty I was told that if there were any issues with the product, that it could be returned and replaced with the same item. I spent over an hour dealing with some rude and disrespectful people ( the workers have customer service were actually kind and polite and tired to assist). Anyway, someone from the electronics department came to check out the tv and never said to me whether the tv could be fixed or if it would be replaced. It ended up that they assumed that the tv had be dropped (which it had not). Bottom line is that they didn't want to honor their warranty. I was told that I had to call the warranty company (SIMPLR), which I did while I was still in the store. The woman from the warranty company was very helpful and polite. She spoke with one of the workers at Meijer who told her that the tv had been dropped and there was a crack on the screen. Again, the tv has never been dropped and the worker doesn't know me and has never been to my home. Finally, I walked to the electronic dept. to find out what the holdup was whil I was still on the phone with the woman from SIMPLR. The guys in the electronics department were just hanging around holding conversation with each other. I asked for my tv because I refused to leave empty handed. That's when one of the managers (whom I've been seeing the whole time I was in the store) asked me if there was a problem. I proceeded to explain to her what my issue was and also informed her that I was still on the phone with SIMPLR. I asked the manager ( Chrissy) if she wanted to spend with the woman from SIMPLR and she did. But before speaking with her she tried to tell me that the store policy is that their warranty only lasts for 3 months or once the product is opened. SERIOUSLY????? The warranty that I purchased is good for 3 years. Anyway, after the manager spoke with SIMPLR, my tv was finally replaced. That was ridiculous to have to go through something like that. Whatever you do, do not buy electronics or anything else that requires a warranty from Meijer because you will catch hell trying to get them to honor it. Lesson learned. read more

This has got to be the most ghetto grocery store I have ever had the displeasure of shopping at. The workers are nowhere to be found in the store if you need assistance. The maybe 3 cashiers all sit by one register gossiping and barely acknowledge you when you ask for help. They dont even say hello or how are you doing. The last one just made a face like how dare you bother me when I'm talking to my friend and mumbled something i couldnt even hear. She looked like she was high as a kite. I understand that is night time but they didnt even have one regular register open. I guess that mean they actually have to work. Half the shelves arent even stocked. I bought some things that were on sale and when I got my receipt the items came up as full price. I brought this attention to the zombie cashier and she mumbled well too late I cant adjust the price because you already paid. Well duh I didn't know it was wrong until I saw my receipt. Ok, so I told her to cancel my whole order. Oh well I cant do that at all. You would have to take that to customer service and they ain't here so i dont know what you want from me lady. Last time I ever shop at this joke of a store. Learn how to train your workers and make sure they arent half brain dead. read more

I've never been in here before, and I doubt if I'll return. The slowest workers in the deli!!!! Unbelievable. 3 numbers ahead of me, and it took 20 minutes to get a lousy pound of lunchmeat. And their prices are not cheap!!!!! The self scanning lanes are a joke... I tried to put my full bag back into the cart, and it kept telling me to return it to the bag area. Then I had to wait for an unenthusiastic teenager employee to enter a code to let me continue. Useless store. read more

This is an excellent store that's open 24/7. Parking is convenient and the store itself is well-organized so it's easy to find what you want. The produce section has a wide variety of items and the quality is outstanding! Store prices are competitive and I like it that I can shop for groceries and walk down a few aisles to get to the clothing, shoes and household items. There are plenty of self-checkout aisles but the associates are very helpful, if needed. In fact, whenever I walk into the store, an associate is there to greet customers and assist with questions. I've compared Meijer with Walmart regarding their variety of items, customer service, prices, and quality. Meijer wins overwhelmingly! read more

What a great place to shop! The staff on the floor have been incredibly helpful and nice. One person in particular really made made my day (I'm sorry I don't know her name). My son accidentally knocked over a picture and when we went to pick it up, she came over and made both of us feel like "accidents happen" and she thanked us for shopping there. Went here for the first time with my friend, some things are a bit pricy but overall I was very impressed. Very clean and employees are friendly, willing to help. Only grabbed a few products but everything Seems as though it is very fresh. I love their shoes and clothes selection. I will Definately return to do more shopping. read more

Great store with great selections, however the fish section is horrid. All the fish look very sick, most are dead on the bottom being eaten by others. Tanks are filthy as well. Highly suggest you don't buy their fish and go for somewhere that actually takes care of them. read more

I love Meijers. They're expensive so I won't go there for basic necessities but their produce is very fresh...Parking space is plenty. My most favorite thing ever is the freshly cooked pizza. It is amazing and is only $7 and $2.29 for a slice. I don't go to Beggar's, Pizza Maker, or Aurelio's anymore. read more

Went there at 930 at night and tried to check out. Every self scan was broken and only one cashier checking people out. I left the self scan and decided to look around to see if toneeded anything else and got back to the registers about 15 minutes later and the same people trying to check out were in the same spot they were in when I left. The one "employee" at the self scan didn't really seem to care that the line was backing up. I left my entire cart and left. Open about a month and it's already this bad? Not worth the trip to flossmoor for this. read more

If I could give this place a zero rating, I would. It's bad enough that they do a horrible job of keeping shelves stock, but the quality of customer service is the worst. Simple staples like rice, pet foods, beverages, paper goods are all too frequently absent from the shelves. With the sole exception of one young man who is an employer's dream come true - polite, willing to help customers, bags with care and consideration, the majority of the staff is just plain rude and unhelpful. I was in the store just yesterday. Our checker had the most abominable attitude and was literally throwing our purchases in the bags as if he were tossing garbage. When I leveraged a complaint the woman at customer service seemed completely disinterested. No wonder the service overall is so bad if this is what leadership/management looks like. Clearly, they set no example. Well, given that no one really gives a damn my only option is to avoid going into the location. I would normally spend about $400 a month at Meijer's Flossmoor, IL store. Now I just gone in for one or two store specific products (always just hoping I'll actually find them in stock). Instead, I now travel out to Mariano's in Frankfort. They may not have what I need 100% of the time but, at a minimum I can count on polite, helpful service. It does matter. Meijer's needs to learn that. Until they do, I can account for at least $400 a month that won't hit their bottom line. read more

One-stop shopping featuring lots of items not found in this area for many years. Very clean, logically set-up, friendly and helpful employees. Add to this mix a hair salon, pharmacy and customer service department. Don't forget to sign up for your m-points and gas up your car. I will definitely return to this store. read more

This place is my new favorite grocery store!! I work close to this store and had previously been shopping at jewel downtown. Now I will be doing my shopping before heading back to the city! Meijer is very clean and new. Anything you can think of is in this store. They have a little Starbucks to drink coffee while you shop. Prices are cheaper than Jewel and comparable to other grocery stores. read more

The communication with managers and service was Horrible! We recently purchased a basketball hoop that had missing parts! We had to take it back apart and exchange it for a new one. After completely the second hoop, we see the adjustment handle is faulty and you can't adjust it! After speaking with Becky, the store manager, she promised to have someone out to our house with a new part to fix it. They showed up not once but twice and nothing was done! After showing up a third time and after they already moved pieces around to try to fix it, NOW it is a liability and they are unable to put the new part on! We have been going back and fourth with Becky about this matter for days and not once was liability a concern. If anything it is already a liability against them since they moved parts and it is still not fixed!! Very disappointed about how the situation was handled on their part. I have a broken basketball hoop in my drive way that my son isn't able to play with, while they promise to fix and have it taken care of, just to find out they are not able to! Huge store, tiny variety, meijer products themselves are horrible quality. Nice staff. I warn you save yourself and NEVER buy the meijers brand frozen beef ravioli. It tasted like a meat I couldn't even recognize something so far gone from actual meat. Don't buy the meijers brand baked goods either, you will be underwhelmed and dissapointed. They clean the carts and you can see them doing so constantly. Produce section could use a lot of love, there's a lot of disorganization and a hell of a ton of fruit flies especially around the fresh corn from 2 weeks ago. Absolutely swarming the corn. Deli doesn't have proscuitto to freshly cut, only the prepackaged kind. The shelves the last few months I've been to this store have always been under stocked or empty. Lines at check out always extend into the aisles and no its not because of the social distancing, they're just actually long lines. Meijer I want to live you but omg your brand products are worse than anything I've ever had, and your always under stocked. The staff is great but there is a HUGE lack in product quality. Finished up at the self-checkout and realized I left my wallet at home. I asked the associate monitoring that area, Jalisa, if she could hold on to my items up front while I ran home to get my wallet. After a 20 minute round trip, not only did Jalisa keep my items at the Customer Service Desk for me, but she took it upon herself to put the chicken breast I had selected in the refrigerator in order to keep it cold. Be careful! This store stocks many expired items. Some items are months past the sell-by date. Staff is very slow and unhelpful. I was told I could only get a refund on a expired items during certain, limited hours. read more
