Meijer Staff welcoming customers

Meijer is a very nice grocery store chain with a nice rewards program. This location like many of theirs offers many departments, produce, pharmacy, automotive, housewares, clothing, and a bakery. The pet department is nice also. They also offer Starbucks, lottery, and alcohol.

Jane's beautiful flowers she got us

Jane in the liquor section was SO incredibly sweet, all I did was look in a couple spots and she helped me with finding my choice. She also was the kindest and bought the three of us in our group the most beautiful flowers because I told her we passed our final exams and came to celebrate. She seriously made our day so much and deserves so much recognition! Thank you Jane!!

The Meijer grocery store is ultra clean and has everything that you could need. I went early when they open at 6 am and the shelves were fully stocked. Fresh fruit and vegetables greeted us in a relatively empty store at this early hour. Prices are great on produce and most of there dry goods. I bought a lot of cheese today. They offer a lot of brand options. Staff are wearing masks and customers are required to wear masks. I am grateful for the dedicated staff that are providing us with grocery services. Their toy department is vast. I picked up some classic kids books for cheap. There was also an amazing assortment of Easter candy, decor and gifts. They have everything. I was excited to pick up supplies for my garden today. They had onion sets and potato sets in stock and priced reasonably. I had been looking for onion sets all over town and was ecstatic to dismally find them. They had a great selection of fruiting vines that looked healthy. In their pharmacy, they offer free flu shots. Self check out was not perfect. The clerk needed to fix a few things that did not have bar codes. The parking lot is sprawling and gets very crowed during peak hours. I avoid it during those times. They also have a gas station which I have not visited. Overall, I will be back. And always shop early.

Seriously someone needs to just smack me the next time I say I'm going to Meijer. They time the cashiers on how fast they get customers thru the line. It isn't about customer service at all. I know I'm going to be seen as just a bitchy person to a lot of people but come on. I put like items together on the belt. Cold with cold , can with cans, boxed items together. And house hold chemicals together. Bread eggs chips last. It does no good when it is all rang up as fast as they can and it all ends up at the end if they belt together. They force more and more people to self scan. Self scan equals less jobs. My next trip, yes there will be a next trip, after I smack myself, I am going to do several transactions instead of one big one. That way I can keep stuff separated. Rant over for today.

This is specifically for the customer care team at this location. I have not been able to get ahold of anyone at the store today regarding a lost personal item. I have been on hold for almost an hour

Meijer is a wonderful grocery store in Carmel that has a wide selection of products and all varieties of products that you can imagine. I came in to get some groceries since I was in the neighborhood, and I forgot how wonderful the prices are and how fresh everything is in the produce selection. They have other departments in the store such as clothes, kitchenware, tools, and a garden center as well. It is like a Wal-Mart, except this is not as big, and the variety is not as massive as Wal-Mart can be, depending on what Wal-Mart you go to. At least that is my personal opinion. But regardless, I am happy with the selection of products and the deals they have throughout the store. The staff are helpful if you need something and willing to guide you to the right aisle if you are looking for something in particular. All in all, this is a great place for groceries and other things you need for your home. The price is right and the quality of products is superb! What else can you ask for?

The merchandise is high end, name brand. They carry men's, women's and children's clothing and shoes and a small section of seasonal household decor. Yesterday, I bought several gifts. The store was decorated with a pianist playing Christmas music. I found exactly what wanted and an associate carefully took the information for wrapping and sending. I saw several other things I wanted, including Christmas outfits for my granddaughters. I left without buying, but later in the day decided my girls needed those outfits. I called the store and Deidreana found the outfits and put them on hold until I got back over there. The outfits were even on sale. Returns/exchanges are easy. They put gift receipts in each package. The store is always immaculate and has lovely restrooms. There is plenty of parking around the store, although parking fills during the holiday shopping season. I recommend and will probably go back this week myself.

I maybe go in Von Maur once a season, and it is even more noticeable at least to me, when you visit a store in longer intervals. They do have excellent eye-catching merch displays and still focused on upscale dressing and seemed like every section had a sales associate to help and areas were upkept. They are targeting heavily toward the older higher income demographics. It is especially telling when you listen to their choice of piano music in them. I would think a salesclerk would go a bit bonkers hearing taped renditions over and over of sickeningly sweet instrumental earworm inducing oldies all day long. I'm surprised this mall chain has lasted, as it hasn't really changed with the times. As times get ever more difficult with less to spend in this way, it will be interesting to see how this chain reacts.

Unfortunately came on a Sunday when everything was closed but this is such a cute little square!…read moreThere's a fountain, lots of shops, and plenty of parking! Great place to walk around and spend some time outside. They have a gym, intimate apparel store, toy store, homewares store etc. Plus a steakhouse and sushi restaurant! There were even more dining options too. They have rental bikes if you want to cruise around! Wish I came when things were open, but if you're looking for a place to do some shopping or even just window shop, it's a great place to get some steps in and enjoy the atmosphere.

Within one complex, you've got the Center for the Performing Arts, Carmel Farmer's Market, Christkindlmarkt (during the holidays), Hotel Carmichael, and a number of other retail options, restaurants, and entertainment options. It's all, quite literally, within walking distance (well, unless you're like me and don't have feet. But, you know what I mean). Because this is a central area, a good number of the Carmel festivals will happen around here. You've also got live music and theater (including Civic Theater also housed within this complex). Accessibility is pretty strong since so much of this area is new. I've had my quibbles with accessibility involving the Center for the Performing Arts, though in talking to current Mayor Sue Finkam there's a definite effort to go beyond ADA and to truly become more accessible. Free parking is abundant in this area and the arts district is about 1/2 mile north. Dining options include Aroma Experience, Divvy, The Old Spaghetti Factory, The Cake Bake Shop, Eggshell Bistro, Lone Pine, Graeter's Ice Cream, and others within walking distance. Retail options include Kits & Kaboodle (a great toy shop), 317Home, A.D.A. Vintage, Addendum, Baseline Social, and a host of others. I will note that most of these shops lean toward the more premium experience. There's definitely no Dollar General to be found here. There's definitely a lot to offer here and it's nearly always crowded. I also like that the website will tell you which stores are closed on bad weather days. As accessibility continues to improve, I may very well move this up to a 5-star experience. For now, it's a definite 4-star experience and it's definitely a place I can easily spend the day once I arrive and also enjoy some time on the Monon.

Meaning...if I don't like hamburgers I'm not going to give a hamburger place a low rating if they seem to make a good burger...my not liking hamburgers isn't their fault....Homegoods seems to be one of those places that involve reduced price, kind of random things in a range of categories. It would likely be great fun with hidden bargains for people who love spending time looking for hidden treasures. I am not one of those people on most days...I need to be able to find what I'm looking for and get on with my day. Unless I'm on vacation, shopping is an item on my to-do list. If you have the time and enjoy the hunt, they do seem to have good quality items here including dishes, linens, towels and even furniture. They have some familiar brands of home products and items were in original packaging and appeared new. I needed some cushions for patio chairs and they did have some but the sizes and colors were not what I needed. They have shopping carts, but many aisles are too narrow for them. I think I'd likely only come back if I wasn't looking for anything in particular and was in the mood to just browse for random items. Again though, if you love just browsing, you'll probably have fun here!
