Server were friendly and seated us, we had reservations for 2 and able to accommodate for the 3 of us. The place has a boat on the ceiling for design! Started off with bread accompanied with tuna spread and olives. - Arroz Marisco: very delicious! Had mussels, shrimp, crab with rice. Taste of the ocean! -Mussles: delicious! Came in a pot - Tigre shrimp: shrimp was so big, it looked like a lobster! It was a little bit over cooked - Ostra: 6 raw oysters, they were big! - Polvo à Lagareiro: Very delicious and flavorful, not chewy. -Sangria: both white and red, size was big, we couldn't finish it. There were many lemons, cinnamon stick and ginger! Would recommend coming here again!

Very nice modern small restaurant with a small boat hanging from the ceiling. Mainly a fish and seafood restaurant with a very nice menu and wine list. Great service where the owner stops by the table to check on everything. You start with bread, olives, and a nice tuna pate. I had local oysters that were great, plump and full of flavor. My wife had the soup du jour, a vegetable soup. For mains, I opted for Feijoada de Lulas com Gambas, Bean Stew of Shrimp and Squid, a local specialty, it is for 2 but they made it for one. Comes with rice, GREAT My wife ordered an appetizer for her main, Croquetas de Camarão, shrimp croquets, four croquets, vey nice. For dessert, we tried the Tarte Brigadeiro, a chocolate pie that was rich. I highly recommend MEIA-Nau for great food, wine, & service.

Great seafood restaurant in Matosinhos. Great service, amazing fish and well priced. The clams and prawns were amazingly good and I loved the broth on both. The seafood rice was also excellent and I loved it. Great flavours and huge portion. Would happily come here again.

Best seafood we've had In Portugal! Arrived at noon right when they opened. Within 15 minutes it was packed. Service was very good, everyone polite and professional. Seafood soup was AMAZING as was the fried squid appetizer! We ordered a white wine called Quinta do Portal Colheita which was dry, not too sweet, and delicious! We ordered the Dourada fish for our main course and it was all excellent!! For 4 glasses of wine, soup, appetizer and fish for two it was $59 euro. Well worth it. Take an Uber from Porto and try this place!!

Great seafood place in Matosinhos, which is the beach city to visit if you want to beat the tourist crowds in Porto. The waiters were super friendly and the food and wine excellent. Ask for a glass of vinho verde to go with your seafood of choice, fresh charcoal grilled fish is a prime choice. We got the arroz de marisco for two, with prawns, crab leg, clams and mussels in saucy tomato rice.

    Mussels and clams

Fabulous food here - my favorites were seafood rice, and bean stew with shrimp and squid. Clams were good but little and sometimes sandy, and mussels were also very tasty. Grilled octopus was also superb

A pile of rice and green salad with a beer... heaven! Definitely worth the wait in line!

We were in a big private room but there were lots of customers in all other parts of the restaurant. I would recommend this as an option if anyone is stopping by Porto. We have not been to this specific restaurant yet so in the spirit of equal opportunity for all of them we decided to give it a try. Specifically this one has a large outdoor terrace that is very long and accommodating for outdoor dining. Started its large prawns the octopus and finally he grilled red snapper. What a great meal to celebrate our one year anniversary of permanently moving to Portugal.

Ordered 1/2 dose of sardines (6-7 pieces) and the monkfish and rice. I was blown away at how good the sardines were with the crispy salty skin. I honestly thought I'd have one piece and then be done but I couldn't stop eating it. The monkfish was a huge bowl filled with shrimp also and was made for sharing between 2-4 people. If I went back I'd just get the sardines. This restaurant seemed more formal setting which I'm not a big fan of. Service was quick even with it being very busy

The stag lead by ande couldn't have been more accommodating. Good English too! And of course I was sporting my orange alternate FC Porto jersey and they happen to be wearing them tonight against.... That team in Lisboa... what's their name??? Not sure if that gave us any brownie points or not but they were wonderful. The food came in waves starting with jumbo prawns then calamari so get we got a second order, more octopus salad the sea bass finally grilled octopus with veg. Everyone commented how fresh and very well presented and cooked the food was. We felt happy and relieved as this was our recommendation. So a party of 3 on a summer night alfresco, or a party of 7 in their lovely dining hall... you can't go wrong!
