Good place for a movie but grimy, needs a good power wash!! The popcorn is okay though and the candy selection is good!

This is a beautiful theater, really nice staff, very clean and not too cold! Pop corn is freshly made, and delicious !

Probably one of the better choices in St George but not up to the standard of the typical megaplexes in the Salt Lake area. The seats are smaller and there is less legroom. This theatre is cleaner, bathrooms are clean, service is very good, always someone to greet, direct, n say enjoy you're movie n thanks for coming, they can rotate an employee to attend to spilled pop corn n constant cleaning of foyer n bathrooms. I like that they have a designated line for pre-ordered concessions, there is more leg room n space between chairs & it is my favorite go to movie theatre. We've been leaving when the language involves taking God's name in vain, & the theatre has been very understanding, accommodating, & generous in supplying us with a credit. We were visiting St. George and decided to go to a movie. If a theater isn't a better experience than my home than I'll be disappointed. The screen had stains on it, the projection was 1080p at best. Seats are uncomfortable. Sound isn't great. There are holes in the ceiling. I'm not sure why the citizens of St George support a place like this. read more

For a movie theatre, the prices for tickets, food, drinks, and snacks are decent. The upper level of the theatre we were in didn't have aisles on both sides, so it was a pain to climb over an entire row of people. Ya know what, this is a nice theater, deserving of five stars, but I deduct two stars for stale popcorn! Yuk! Part of going to a movie is to eat popcorn, drink soda, and sit next to your sweaty in the dark. When you serve the old, cold popcorn from the night before, for the cost charged, you don't deserve five stars! Totally ruins the whole experience to choke down stale popcorn. If I knew how to leave a 0 star I would. By far the worst movie experience I have ever had. And the movie isn't even over. I scheduled this movie to go to with my In-laws and my wife. We scheduled a regular movie and they ended up playing a 3D movie, I asked if they could play a regular movie that all customers thought they were attending. They said that's not possible. They also stated "we are so sorry this is a problem that has been happening." I was one of about 20 people who had an issue with the 3D movie for health reasons. They offered for us to go watch a movie at the same time. Not sure to be more frustrated with the "False Advertising" or the lack of employees caring to fix a problem. The manager acted surprised when notified on the issue the other employees said had been happening a lot. read more

My husband and I are big fans of megaplex. We live in Utah County and we have one of the nicest megaplex so lucky about 5 minutes away from our house and love it. So since we love megaplex so much we generally try to give them our business when in other places too. My parents own a second home in st George so we come down about 1-2 times a month to swim and relax. We decided to take our two year old to hotel Transylvania on a Friday night. We got there and thought the outside was very nice but when you walk in just a older megaplex that needs a little more love. This didn't bother me at all though it was my service at concessions that bothered me. We order a large icee and large Dr Pepper she range it up then paid. Then my daughter decided she wanted popcorn (2 year olds) so I said you know what I think I'd like some too. So I asked her if I could get a regular popcorn added. She rolled her eyes and gave me a puff with such attitude and still didn't give me a answer. Then finally she started to ring it up. Just never thought someone would give me so much attitude for wanting to give them more of my money. Of course we will visit again but hopefully I can update this one to more positive one. read more

Smaller theatre, I wish that it had the reclining chairs that I've been spoiled by but it doesn't. It's a little off the beaten path but isn't crowded that way, and has multiple food options nearby for dinner and a movie. It was clean and service was fine. Just small without a ton of the newer amenities other theaters have. read more

Ooph. This is in dire need of an upgrade. Everything in here is cheap and just dirty. We went to a 3D movie and bought our tickets online and had to hunt down an employee to get the stupid glasses. The seats are super old and small. They don't recline and the screen is just small. Sound quality is garbage, everything rattles when there is a large BOOM or any sort of a deep voice. I don't come to St. George very often, but I will be avoiding seeing a movie here in the future. read more

Great for family and food is near by for grub before movie time. Me and my wife are visiting from San Francisco and never seen a ticket kiosk to purchase movie tickets. Great seats, comfortable. I wish the City was less packed like this. Lol... read more

Megaplex - Cinema Near Me - St. George, Utah

Clean theater and good seats. Looked updated. Plenty of helpers at the counter to make sure we got our popcorn and goodies for the movie. Bathrooms where clean. Theater was empty for a Saturday night. Only negative was the popcorn had no flavor even with butter topping. Had to add salt hate doing that. read more

Watch Star Wars with my little girl and a handful of kids. Their team member Matt was AWESOME and made our visit so much fun. He suggested the refillable popcorn and soda package and hooked the crew up with mini cups. Love the assigned seating. Extremely clean. Great overall experience. read more

Batman vs Superman!!! I am not a giant superman fan but this movie was ... Wait for it... Wait for it.... Legendary!!!! Ben afleck did an amazing job as batman and this is just the start of the justice league!!! Stadium 8 was clean and the staff was nice. Tuesday's are $5 any seat!!! read more

Seriously don't come here. There are better theaters in town. The carpet, walls, floors, bathrooms, and everything about the concessions need to be replaced. On top of that DO NOT wear any open toed shoe in the actual theatre, unless you are willing to have your shoe come off while walking. The cement under the chairs are caked in gum and spilled drinks that have NEVER been cleaned up. On top of all this, the chairs do not recline and are far too close together. Honestly, take my word for it. If you have to see a movie pick any other theatre in town and if you can't do that, then just stay home. read more

I have been coming here since they opened years ago, always clean, the staff is generally young and friendly. I have never really encountered a dirty theater here unless is a Friday or Saturday night. Clean, comfortable and relaxing place to come and enjoy a movie. read more

This place is small but friendly and I like the reserved seating, which is comfy. The arm rests fold up to allow my kiddos to cuddle with me during the movie. Stadium seating and comfy seats make this our fave little local theatre. read more

This theatre is close by, so its my usual spot to enjoy a show. Employees are always friendly. Seating is comfortable. Last Sunday night I went to see the Nut Job with my son. This was an animated movie so there were many kids there. But...they were talking and screaming the whole time. Usually, Id blame this on the parents and I partially do but not one time did any employee at all check on the movie theatre. These conxtant disturbances ruined our night! People in our same row were taking flash pictures with thier kids, I thought this was a rule that pictures not be taken in a theatre. After the movie was over two children of whom were running around the theatre continued to run circles around the podeum were the ticket taker was. Again, nothing was said. Next time I see an animated show, Ill stay home and wait for it on Netflix. read more

We visited the theater while in town from Vegas. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The theater itself needs a serious upgrade. The seat we purchased (reserved seating) was broken. There was not seat to sit in just a big hole. The smell was almost overwhelming of well, I am not sure if the smell was urine or musty dusty mice smell. Reserved seating is the worst idea ever! There was a kid who clearly had autism or some other mental disability. He very quietly clapped after one of the trailers. The woman in front of him told him "Shut up (slur)!" In normal circumstances I would have told that woman she could move but obviously she couldn't because of the stupid assigned seats. Part of the experience is showing up early to get seats. If you show up late and get terrible seats, oh well, you snooze you lose. You'll learn next time won't you? Management handled the situation very professionally, but if they didn't force assigned seating this situation more than likely could have been avoided. read more

OKAY! This place ROCKS in our book! Fast friendly service, they go the extra mile EVERY TIME, a great sign of good training from management. If theres a question about price or service or quantity, they ALWAYS give it to MY favor, which is so refreshing in this penny-pinching business world we currently live in in Souther Utah. THE BEST DEAL in all of St. George area is the annual big plastic bucket of popcorn sold ONLY during October for $29.95...DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and go buy one when available! $3 refills the entire year, i go at LEAST twice/week to get mine filled and sometimes they are so nice they just hand it to me and say "have a nice day" with no charge. I've been to many movies. Some of them rated R and I have never had to show my ID. However I bought a ticket to Straight out of Compton and was not allowed in because we didn't have ID. The manager then sat there and lied to my face that they ID all rated R movies. I'm in my thirties and have never been asked to show ID before this film. Funny to me that the movie is about the oppression of free speech and the only movie they are turning people away from is this "Black" movie. Unless I missed it I didn't see anywhere that said ID would be required. I drove clear across town and when refunded was only refunded a portion of the money I paid to see this film. Extremely disappointed with the biased business practice of Megaplex Theaters and the dishonesty from the manager. read more

Traveled from Wyoming to St George to visit family for the week. Decided to go for a movie while we are here. Love the snacks they offer. Nice variety and pretty reasonable priced for a movie theater. However the movie theater needs a little love. We are use to the nice luxury seats at our Wyoming location. They recline back, leather an are really roomy. Going back to these old school one blows. These seats are super small. I hope in the near future they redo these seats. Pretty uncomfortable. The screen was ok. Not the best i seen, just not really clear. Could be because its old. Just needs a little TLC and to get with the times. Even if they raise the price up .50 i would be ok with it. read more

Worst run theater chain in America. Three weekends in a row we have tried to go to a movie, only to find that the movie time listed online was either wrong, or the movie was being shown in open caption (very distracting). So glad they came to St. George, bought out Westates then jacked up the ticket and concession prices and let the theaters fall into disrepair. Someone is getting rich while the residents of St George get screwed. read more

It's a movie theater on old. Probably one of two in St George that I would consider going to see a movie in. The air conditioning always seems off, especially with how hot it is outside. It's a good joint but a very typical, somewhat old school theater. It would be interesting to see how much business Megaplex could get if they built a true modern Megaplex theater in St. George. read more

Awful projectors. Awful seats. Awful/incompetent/lazy Staff. Worst theater experience I have had in YEARS. First, we weren't able to get seated in our theater until literally 3 minutes before the start time because they were still cleaning up. Meh, what ever stuff happens. Then as we watched the previews, we noticed that the picture was kind of soft, and the text looked blurry, but we figured maybe it was just the previews. Then the movie started and the picture was out of focus the ENTIRE MOVIE. I left the theater 2 times to talk to the staff about fixing it, and nothing happened. I felt like it might just be me or I was taking crazy pills or something, so I asked 3 different people around us if it looked fuzzy and all three said it looked fuzzy. Finally, I went out a third time and one of the staff yelled over to the manager "Hey the focus is out in Theater 1 again." After the manager ran up to fix the projector I figured he would take care of it. Nope. Nothing. Still blurry, still awful to watch. I felt so bad for the people in my row for getting up so many times, I just endured it the rest of the movie. To add injury to insult, we asked to get a soda refill on the way out, and they said "No, sorry we are closed"..... The nozzles on the fountains dispensers were still on. It literally would have taken a staff member all of 15 seconds to fill up the soda and help us leave with a good taste in our mouth. Nope. Oh and the seats suck. They are uncomfortable and don't really recline. The peoples heads in the row ahead of us were blocking part of the screen. Bad seating design. read more
