I have never in my life had to ask a company to turn down the AC, but my family was sweating in the movie, so I walked out to ask them to check on the temperature and maybe turn it down. He said he couldn't do anything about it and I just need to sit in there and it will get cooler at some point. We sat through the whole movie and it just got hotter. My husband's back was very sweaty and my little girl was extremely hot. When our movie ended, my husband went out to say something about the temperature and the guy was like "well let me go check and see if somethings wrong with it." Like why wouldn't he do that the first time? I just felt ignored, like I needed my husband to make a bigger deal about it. My poor kids were so hot. On top of it all, I asked for a cup to put water in to take a Tylenol. The girl behind the counter pulled a cup out of the little cup holder thing. It fell on the floor and rolled around. She then picked it up off the ground and handed it to me...... so I put water in it from the water fountain and drank it out of a straw since she gave me the floor cup.... Not going back. I usually come here to watch new movies. It's convenient. You can buy your tickets online and there is lots of parking. The staff is friendly. They have the usual concessions and lots of souvenirs (for wicked, Jurassic, how to train your dragon, Superman). They do refills for soda and popcorn. They also have large clean restrooms. The only problems I've had at all is when a movie I am seeing is very quiet and the film on the adjacent theater is very loud, then you can hear that other movie which can be distracting. Otherwise 99% of my experiences here have been great! read more

Johnny was so helpful, personable, understanding, and professional. Our son paid for 15 of us to watch Aquaman 2 in the VIP theaters as a Christmas gift, not knowing children 8 years old and below are not allowed. Johnny explained the policy and we graciously understood. As we all wanted to watch the show together, we all walked out of the VIP area. We were going to leave the theater but Johnny kindly accommodated our large family on Christmas Day. We highly recommend this place. The theaters are clean. The bathrooms are clean. What a fantastic movie experience for Southern Utah! We wanted to see Ferrari but couldn't find a theater in St George with comfortable seating. We were pleasantly surprised to find the VIP seating in Hurricane. This will be our new go-to theater! The VIP area is nice and you can order your concessions before being seated and a waiter brings them to you. The truffle at intermission is a nice touch too. We can't wait to come back! read more

This is our local Movie Theater. We decided to try their VIP Movie experience. Used their online ticket purchase. It was a pretty easy way to purchase tickets. I like picking seats and reserving our spots way in advance. The theaters that are VIP do exclude anyone under 8. They have upgraded these theaters and seating over the regular theaters. You can order food, drinks and treats as you going in. OK this is a great idea and worked pretty good. The issues are cost. With the upgrade to VIP, service charge for online tickets for 2 Adults just to watch the movie was $36.00. Now with simple fast food fare, popcorn and drinks that was another $39.00. So for an afternoon at the movies $75.00. Pricey???? Was it worth it? I had the Spicy Chicken nuggets & steak fries. Chicken was real white meat, not a McDonald's ground up nugget. Wasn't spicy at all, but pretty good. Steak fries were good, but only 7 in the box. For the $12 you would think that the box would be loaded. Wife had the 2 price Cod and sweet potato fries. Again good quality, but small amount. Remember the $10 per person up charge to get VIP? Like I said earlier it's a great idea, but way overpriced. Another bone to pick is the sale point of no one under 8 allowed? Well there were 3 kids in a group and they we're definitely not 8. So again was it worth it? NOPE! Didn't make Movie any better. Intermission was nice. 5 minutes. I can't recommend the heavy price for the extras. Will still come for movies, just not the VIP upgrade. read more

Worst experience ever! All because of the manager as well as the owner over the dumbest thing. How simple is it to refill my popcorn or credit my money back if you can't stand by your word. I specifically asked before I purchased my popcorn which size of bucket to buy in for the 1 free refil. With that said... if you look at the receipt closely, you will see that we arrived at the movie's to see Dog 18 minutes late and was out of there before 6:00. Our movie actually started at 4:05 pm Sunday. The total show time listed is 101 min. That put us out of there by about 5:30. They had everything cleaned up and was ready to close the doors supposedly after I left.. even though there was another shell playing called I'll find you that didn't start until 4:35 p.m. and hadn't even let out yet. This showing was listed as being 106 minutes long. So to top all of that there was actually a movie still playing and I was not the last one out the door. The manager blatantly lied to excuse them cleaning up everything early to get out of there. Sun Feb 27, 2022 Coral Cliffs Cinema 8 Yesterday afternoon I went back into the theater and asked for the owner. He wouldn't let me get one word in. I was livid! Rick made it quite clear that he was the only one that was going to be right and that I needed to go ahead and back down and get out. He immediately came before me with an attitude. I would have been polite had I had the opportunity to get one word in. I did expect my popcorn to be refilled or my money back. When I walked out my not-so-classy personality came out, I told him exactly where to go and how to get there after he told me to get out of his theater and to never come back. In all honesty did he really think I was coming back. Let's get real here, I have no intention of ever going back there. The fact that he would even remotely think I would spend another penny in there is almost comical. I'll be darned if I will support a local that treats me or anyone else as poorly as they did. That behavior was completely unexcusable! I just thought the manager was an arrogant you know what! Apparently manager has the same integrity and customer service skills as the owner. Totally disgusted with the owner as well as the staff I came in contact with. I will not go back ever. That alone would be the definition of insanity I've been in customer service for... gosh almost 27 years. I would never think to treat anyone that way. I would have been out of business years ago and I'm self-employed. You just don't treat people like that and expect to get away with it. It's just down right rude. A bad day or covert related really doesn't apply. That's just poor business on your part. Completely unexcusable. There is a lot to be said about a happy customer and an unhappy customer. The happy customer if asked would give raving reviews if they experiences good. The unhappy customer will tell everyone including strangers on the street how bad their experience was. I'm half the honors age and twice as intelligent it comes to customer service. Granted even if he was having a bad day doesn't explain the audacity of treating someone so poorly. Good luck with our growing little town Coral Cliff's Cinema 8. It's pretty likely you're going to be pushed right out by someone with a repkivable name, more money, better customer service and that is deserving of customers walking through that door. That is if you continue to stay in business. I'm not holding my breath at this point. And it certainly isn't going to take one person in the computer community to put you under. I had a wonderful experience! Having just moved from Cali to Utah I felt spoiled! Saw the Nun II VIP, had my food brought to me, I love the intermission idea, being able to get a break and use the restroom without missing part of the movie and getting a small treat was great! I was the only one in theatre, perhaps because I watched the 5pm on a Wed. I am big on movies and I'm definitely looking forward to my next experience, friendly staff as well :) read more

Their website was down and we were trying to use Sinemia to purchase the tickets. The only place they sell tickets online is their own site but since we couldn't access it they let us give them the card number in person and purchase the tickets that way. Over spring break we spent the night in hurricane, Utah because we wanted to visit Zion national park. Well, after a half day of hiking we decided to watch a movie with the kids. They had a lot of times available for the movies we wanted to watch. It was a choice between watching Morbius, The lost city, or sonic 2. When you walk in you pay for your movie tickets at the concession stand that is also the same counter as the food/concession. The prices were affordable only about $7.50 for a matinee show on the weekday. The seats were better than I expected. They have one theater room with older cloth seats and then a new theater with new leather seats. Both theaters were decent. I really liked that they offered different drinks. I was able to get a large Arizona mango juice can. They did not serve icees drinks however. If I am ever back in town and I want to catch a movie, I would definitely come back here. read more

Despite it being a small cinema, we really enjoyed the kind service, reasonable pricing and clean venue. It's pretty much the only theater around here. We're from Los Angeles and are used to upscale , fancy theaters , but this place was perfect for the occasion of "getting away" from the city. I had some Chili Cheese Nachos and my kids had an ice cream sandwich. I appreciate the service the most. Mainly younger student aged employees who were well mannered and hospitable. :) read more

I was fortunate enough to win movie tickets from the local radio station. The tickets were for the VIP Cinema. There were electric leather recliners. And I think it only sat 44 people. The recliners were large and very comfortable. They have a tray that with a cup holder that moves over your lap. And it's really nice that they don't allow children under 8 into the VIP cinema! So you don't have babies crying or little ones running around. Also, they bring your drink and other concessions to you. You can also have Durrango's brought to you. The VIP room was very clean compared to the other theaters! I'm only giving the VIP room the 5 stars! As for the other theaters, I still give 4 stars because the seats are uncomfortable and the floors are usually sticky. read more

I went for the first time yesterday with my 96 year old mother. I ordered senior tickets and was told that Little Women was only in the VIP theater and that would be $15. I complained, loudly. I didn't want any food. No options, so we left. I looked at the website to see what I missed. It does say VIP in faded lettering (but the employee mentioned that had I looked the day before, which I did, it was NOT in a VIP theater). I had no clue there even was VIP. Senior pricing was very clearly stated as $7. Now I see VIP at $8 and an up charge of $7. Not clear that you must pay the upcharge for the food service. I said I would not be back. No one cared. The floor was littered with popcorn in the foyer even though 4 employees were present and no other customers were being served. read more

We have been going to this theater for about the past ten plus years and are sad to see that the management has all but disappeared. Two weeks in a row we attended a film showing with less than favorable outcome. Last we had to ask that sound be turned on multiple times. It finally happened just as the feature started. No one came in to explain. Then today we tried again but this time no sound or film. More than one of us asked to have it started when finally someone came in to say they had a problem. My husband and I decided to visit the VIP theater for the first time and we were pretty excited after reading the details online... I have never been THIS let down by a movie going experience, ever.. and I PAID for it. Got there at 6:15, movie slated to start at 6:30. When we walked in there were two couples ahead of us. The first girl was asking ALL THE QUESTIONS, she ha some gift card and wasn't getting it, just tok forever. The second couple took less time but we still waited a long time. The kid behind the counter seemed new as another kid kept coming back to confirm a decision. In the mean time another two couples walks in; the room is now cramped and time is ticking by. I was baffled at why the "trainer" kid kept leaving... there are two registers, use them. By the time it's our turn we know exactly what we're getting. When we got to the register we were not greeted or asked if we'd been there before it was right to business. Got everything ordered including popcorn, a drink, Pad Thai from Mi Kong and the keylime pie from Muddy Bee's. Nothing was explained other than "I think the theater isn't clean yet so I can't let you in." no further instruction so we just meandered to the fork and looked both ways to find the theater- found it, it was open and the previews (which I actually love to watch) were already running. Took our seats and my seat doesn't recline, great. By the time we sat there a couple of minutes fiddling with the controls and still nothing, I tried the one next to me and it worked. My husband went to the desk to let them know we were changing seats or mine wasn't working- whatever he said to them- and he's now missed the first 5 minutes of the movie- which we all know are the most important parts. He comes back and says scoot down. I then think "Do we get our popcorn or do they bring it to us?" I go check- they bring it to us. A few minutes later were loudly served popcorn and drink, no napkins, and other people continued to be served as well- what an interruption that was. Movie keeps going, great, food finally get there and again it's an annoyance to watch this one girl come in and back out and talk loudly and in and back out. Got our pad Thai, something I never order there I usually get the drunken noodle and it's usually great, I took one bite and thought I Was going to die. It was like they didn't stir anything so I got a big mouthful of half cooked peanut mash. I took another bite and could tell I'd get major heart burn if I continued. I gave it to my husband and he ate 3/4 of it. I'll stick to the drunken noodle next time. The intermission was a joke. I thought the theater was broken an we'd get our money back then the usher comes in and says its intermission, ugh. Annoying! The chocolate truffle was bomb though. I'll give them that. We were brought our pie after the movie started again and I didn't have a bite until about 5 minutes later. IT was GOOOOD but it was half FROOZEEENNN. Annoying. This whole trip was annoying and I'm surprised people actually like this service with all the customer service holes I see. We won't be back to the VIP nor probably the theater. read more

Clean, friendly and comfortable theater. Fills up fairly quick on a Friday night so arrive early to avoid having to sit directly in front of the screen. Ticket purchase is done at concession stand which makes it a little confusing and is less than efficient since you have to wait in line for everyone purchasing snacks. Other than that, location is convenient and easy to find if you are staying in the area, visiting Zion. Makes for a nice evening out during the winter months when it gets dark early and you have children/teens to entertain. read more

Love this theatre it is the only left in southern Utah where you don't have to buy your tickets from a machine and pick your seat before you go into the theatre. The concessions are over priced just like all theatres but that's how they turn a profit they make jack on ticket sales. The staff has always been courteous the theatre is clean and your shoes don't stick to the floor, I give the place 5 starts and it's the only place that I will see a movie in this part of the state. read more

Seems as though Ken H. had one bad experience. We've lived in the area close to thirteen years and never had a disappointing experience. One thing I know, is when Mr. Rick Moser (Mgr.) is on duty there's always great customer service. We've attended several times when Mr. Moser was not present and another person was trying to manage the theatres, did't happen to the degree when Mr. Moser was there. The theatres were always clean, especially when you've got untidy people visiting. It takes a tremendous amount of effort to keep the whole area clean. Their VIP Theater is completely worth the extra money. No kids, quiet-respectful people, full service, leather recliner seats & table as well as a very nice 10 min bathroom intermission half way through the movie with a chocolate mint. I've also enjoyed my visits to their normal theaters, they don't have that nasty pee smell like we do here in town, and I've never had a bad experience. Always peaceful, and uncrowded. read more

It's a pleasant surprise to see a full-featured movie theater in this relatively small town. Coral Cliffs Cinema shows the latest films, has 3D showings, comfortable and clean theaters, and the latest projection equipment. The pricing is reasonable ($9 for adults; less for students, seniors, children, and matinées; a few bucks more for 3D films). The only downside to Coral Cliffs is what I can only describe as a local attitude that it's okay to bring infants and toddlers to adult-themed films (PG-13+), even late at night. It seems like I can't go to a non-kid movie without having to deal with someone bringing their little child who fusses, runs around, and/or talks through the film. I wish Coral Cliffs had a policy against bringing children into movies for adults, or at least to evening showings. read more

If I could give zero, I would. We went to go see Jumanji this afternoon and during the trailers, you couldn't hear anyone speaking, just the music (and even that was spotty). After the second trailer (maybe it's just one that was messed up?), I went out to speak with someone at the front. The assistant manager (little fellow, glasses) instantly told me "oh, we've had some people complain about that, but some people stay through the whole thing. Unfortunately, there isn't anything I can do to fix it."...are you serious?? You KNOW there's a reported issue with the sound and you don't anything about it? He told me he would refund both my tickets AND concessions (why would I buy popcorn and a drink if I wasn't expecting to watch a movie?) so I went back to the theater in hopes that the movie itself was ok. 20 seconds into the start, I knew it was not so. I stood up to leave, followed by 4 other groups in the theater (the entire theater stood up and followed after I explained to a group about the sound). We went out and asked for our refund. Not only did the assistant manager say "well, other people watched it just fine" and continue to be incredibly rude to me, my fiancé, AND THE OTHER PEOPLE ASKING FOR REFUNDS, but he would not refund our concessions like he said he would. I asked for the GM (Rick I believe?) who wasn't there, so Rick, if you read this, I would suggest firing that ASSistant manager of yours and finding someone who can actual provide customer service. We will make the drive to St George for movies. Rest assured, we will be telling all our friends and whoever will hear that it's not worth the time to go see a movie at this theater. Recently took my lady to try the VIP treatment. Paid 30 dollars for tickets. Snacks and beverages were extra. Would have been totally worth it except the climate control was broken. Tried to sit through the movie with 60 degree air constantly blowing on us. Which doesn't sound bad if you're outdoors in the sun. But in a dark theatre it's really cold. Couldn't enjoy the movie. Complained to manager. But she only apologized. Didn't comp our tickets. Or try to make the situation better. Completely disappointed. Won't do VIP ever again here. read more

Overall, the theater is a good one: attentive staff, minimal technical issues, clean, comfy seats, etc. So why only two stars? It's the popcorn. I love popcorn and am willing to spend the extra $$ for it. Every time. Except at the Coral Cliffs 8 - because the popcorn here is served with a near-lethal dose of sodium. I'm 55, and not eating as much salt as I used to. That said, I still love salt and eat far more than I should, but there are limits. The sodium level delivered by the CC8 popcorn is beyond anything I've ever experienced, outside of swimming in the ocean. The corn here will cause your mouth to burn and shrivel. I can eat a LOT of popcorn but not here. Can't even finish a bag. On my last visit, I asked for a no-salt or lower-salt batch of popcorn to be made. I figured that way I could add salt to taste, if needed. The woman at concessions was sympathetic, but wouldn't do it, saying the manager would not allow it. I haven't been back since. I now generally go to St. George for movies. Aside: On a past trip to Coral Cliffs, I noticed that a woman had brought her own popcorn in ziplock bags. At the time, I thought she was being frugal.
