I had soft wax for the suprapubic area and then chocolate hard wax for everything else. As a result, it was more painful than it needed to be (the slow initial pull itself and also the hot application of the wax itself) and there were bits of hair around the anus that was left behind (noticed it the next day). From this I've learned to call ahead of time and figure out how the particular salon does its waxing.

I was in town for a destination wedding. The bride made our appointments for our hair and makeup…read morefor the day of the wedding. The bride was let to believe she was booking for the service to come to us at the resort. Our appointments were at 11, we were at the chapel, ready to go. 11:20 rolls around and no stylists. The bride calls only to be informed that they do not travel and our appointments were at the salon. We had to race down the mountain and still didn't get to the salon at 12. Girl that started my hair was instantly annoyed. She only took 25 minutes on my medium/long hair for a bridal updo. I told her that my nail doesn't hold curl when it's curled with a clamp iron and does much better with a wand. She then tells me she doesn't even know how to use a wand, despite her saying she's been in the business for 2 years. She rushed through my hair and gives me a mirror. It looks like I could have done it myself only, I could have done better. She is even more annoyed now and calls another stylist over who promptly starts undoing her half hearted attempt. The second stylist then achieves the style I requested but nothing more is done about the limp, half curled hair that is left down around my shoulders. I am then rushed over to the make up station as so the girl who fixed my hair could work on the bride's. Make up gal was AMAZING and the ONLY reason this review gets 3 stars. She was so friendly, knowledgable and really did a fantastic job on both my makeup and the bride's. We both also purchased false lashes and they looked great. Would highly recommend for wedding make up. Stylist who fixed my hair and did the bride's was very talented but definitely needs to work on a bit friendlier attitude. I don't know if the stylists are always that rude or if it was because of the miscommunication about the location. Was definitely a huge hiccup in her big day that we had hoped to go smoothly by being on location. Very disappointed in the communication with salon and attitude of stylists during appointments.

If I was not on a cruise ship where it was hard to get shave gel and razors I would have probably just shaved. I don't know if it is because they are more fine hairs on my upper legs, but there were giant patches of hair missed. I have never had this happen in my standard waxing experiences. I was shocked how much hair was left on my upper legs (baby fine hair) and over both knees. If this is a difference in sugaring versus waxing I will definitely have to stick with waxing as it looked like I had no hair removal done at all in big patches. Sooo bummed. ---- Original review: Overall a good experience. They were friendly and helpful making my appointments and the facility is clean. They're also easy to find. I had a number of services head to toe so they split my time between two estheticians. The first one was good but I felt like she talked almost too much. It felt forced and I am sure she was just trying to distract me but I just kinda wish I'd have been able to lay there quietly. I had asked to leave a strip of hair and she did but it was lop-sided and looked funny. I didn't realize it until I got home and ended up having to just shave the small area. The second girl was very friendly but was better and reading me and didn't push conversations. When it slowed down she let me sit quietly. She did a very good job and was even willing to clean up a few missed hairs by the first woman. I'm not sure I think sugaring is less painful than watching (which is what I'd heard and was why I tried it) but overall it was a good experience. If I went back I'd ask for the 2nd girl to do my whole service. Her name was Megan but she joked that they should call her "Emily" because there's 3 Megans that work there.

Hello, I had a…read morereservation with Valery for a bachelorette makeup and hair appointment. I found the prices on the salon's website and booked directly with her via Instagram, receiving confirmation that we would meet on Saturday at 3 pm. The service included makeup ($85), hair ($45), and a traveling fee ($20). The night before, I spoke with Valery over the phone to confirm details and discuss what I was looking for. I also provided her with my address to ensure everything would work out smoothly for both of us. She was supposed to arrive at my place by 3 pm. At 3:10 pm, I called Valery, and she had not left yet. She did not contact me beforehand to inform me of any delay. Since I am out of town and didn't bring many supplies with me, I had to rush to the store to buy additional makeup and hair products, which cost me almost $300. This lack of professionalism, reliability, and responsibility is disappointing. I cannot recommend Valery's services to anyone based on this experience.
