Megan was great to work with. I will definitely call on her the next time our company needs her graphic designer expertise.

The San Clemente Florist - Flowers

The San Clemente Florist

Needing a gift for a family birthday, I was wandering down Del Mar and just happened to stick my…read morehead in San Clemente Florist. What a surprise---they are MUCH more than just a flower shop. Their front gallery was full of art, packed with totally unique and funky decorative items. A lot of re-purposed antiques---lots of great, rustic stuff, much of it ocean-themed. Not expensive, either. Stuff you just don't see anywhere else---they are not your typical gift shop---or flower shop, although I've ordered bouquets from them several times, and they've always been great. I spoke with the counter guy (who I assume was the owner) and he was very personable, and told me they are trying to work more with local artists and support the SC arts community. If you are looking for something new and different in San Clemente---drop in, you will be very pleasantly surprised. (PS--just went back to order some Valentine's stuff, and found out the current owners have only been there a year, so take some of those older reviews with a grain of salt.)

The flowers were not what I expected them to be at all They look like something from the grocery store was thrown together after I called to ask why they had not delivered. No return phone calls or answered emails I am very disappointed and will not be using them again and would never recommend them

She listened carefully to what the bride wanted, understood her vision, and brought her own creativity and experience to it without ever making it feel like anything other than her wedding. The flowers were exactly what she had imagined--only more beautiful. Every flower was gorgeous, fresh, and beautifully chosen, and the arrangements had an artistry you noticed immediately. They didn't simply decorate the wedding; they became part of how the day felt. There was never a doubt in my mind that the flowers would be one of the highlights, and they absolutely were. Malorie is wonderful to work with--creative, thoughtful, calm, and completely professional. When you are planning something as important as your child's wedding, having someone you can trust that completely is a gift. I would choose Malorie and Collected with Love Florals again without hesitation. She does beautiful work, but even more importantly, she understands that the flowers are part of someone's very personal vision for a very important day. She got ours exactly right.

Every floral detail coordinated beautifully with our colors and overall wedding vision. Their communication throughout the entire process was also amazing. I had quite a few little changes along the way, from the number of tables to where I wanted certain florals placed, and they were always so accommodating and never made anything feel like a problem. Everything turned out absolutely beautiful and better than I could have imagined. They truly brought my vision to life, and I'm so grateful I chose Collected With Love Florals for our wedding!

I love supporting local businesses like this. Usually I get my flowers at Trader Joe's since my…read moredaughter works there. These are not top-tier Flowers though, Trader Joe's gets secondhand flowers when they're about two days from being spoiled. When I was running by here today, I decided to get my Wife some Flowers we just moved to town and I was excited to surprise her and I saw this beautiful bouquet out front. Now these are top-tier Flowers, extremely fresh ones that you're going to have on your table for 10 days after you buy them. Yes they were $40. I'd probably could've got the same bouquet for $20 at Trader Joe's, but in two days they'd be dead and there'd be bugs flying around them. You get what you pay for. The service was so great too. 21 year old sweet girl gave my dog some water and was super helpful and nice. You have to love local places like this serving the community.

This is not the first time I've received an ugly bouquet, only to find out the culprit was this…read moreshop... basically, someone who loves me very much really tries to nail my essence by asking for a "non-traditional" or "unique" bouquet, and I guess you really have to be very specific, or extremely careful what you request, because you will end up with leftover scraps and something that is extremely hodge-podge... please note, the rose was added after because even the person buying said bouquet could sense that things had gone awry, and requested roses. I should think that request alone would have let the florist know that they had veered in the wrong direction, but alas. I also wanted to back up those that have said the owner here is rude, which is true. He's good at what he does, but I can't say the same for whichever assistant put this together. I would suggest having some photos or a booklet for people to browse to better show what concepts they have in mind, so as not to waste flowers like these. If I was in a garden and saw these flowers growing I wouldn't be opposed, but to force that giant orange monstrosity into a bouquet centerpiece was certainly a choice! There is nothing cohesive about this bouquet, and I only kept the rose because looking at this mess genuinely hurt my feelings. I have never before dumped fresh flowers into the greenwaste bin, but I couldn't stand looking at this appalling mess and I don't understand how someone could have let this leave the shop. They really abuse those weed-looking flowers too, because I've even had them show up in what should have been a normal bouquet. I won't ever give them my business again, and I will stop recommending them to fellow San Clemente residents.
