The gate agent was very good about keeping the customers informed of the boarding process and he spoke very clearly. I recently started using a powered wheelchair and this was my first time doing out-of-state travel…read morein it, and my first time using the Amtrak in general. The Heartland Flyer was a cozy, 4-hour trip from Dallas to Oklahoma City that was problem free. The train does honk the horn a lot, so i'd recommend bringing headphones. I was able to get some sleep in though. I was worried if my powerchair would fit in the aisles and if I would have to transfer out of my chair, or if I would be required to be strapped down. I also worried about if the bathroom would be large enough to fit me. I can confirm that I was able to get through the aisles of the coach section fine, although there's not a ton of room to spare, and that my powerchair fit in the bathroom too; a tight fit, but it worked out okay. I was able to stay in my chair and was not forced to be strapped down. While I could fit in the coach car, the door to connect to the rest of the train and the cafe car was too narrow for my chair. There was a large space in front of the first row of seating for me to park my chair, with a convenient pull out table that made the ride feel nice. Staff were friendly and boarding was a breeze. Overall, i'm very pleased that the Amtrak is an accessible option for traveling the United States.

Highly recommend Enterprise! They are my go-to rental car company of all time…read more We were shuttled here within 5 minutes from OKC International Airport. Check-in was super easy. Rental car pick-up was simple and fast. Lady staff at the counter and another lady staff who gave us the car keys were both very nice and helpful. Thank you both! We were sent outside to the other side of the building. They were low on inventory of cars. It was between a gray or red car. They gave us the red Chevrolet Trailblazer LT. It was a good and comfortable ride throughout our trip. Solid and comfortable front and back seats. Spacious trunk space which was useful. However, we did experience an issue with the front right tire. It lost tire pressure on a couple ocassions. We had to pump that tire twice. The other 3 tires were fine. Thank goodness we didn't have more issues than that. Upon returning the car, I informed the lady staff of what happened. She was kind and gracious to give us a discount for our troubles. Thank you Miss and Enterprise! I appreciate it. Note: Part of Route 66 Centennial Celebration road trip with my eldest daughter in June 2026
