Updated Menus Breakfast Lunch & Dinner Great Food Great Service Low Prices. Family Friendly atmosphere.

Uncooked meat.

Unsure if they have a new cook but my food was not cooked good. My patty melt meat was pink inside. My taquitos were not cooked completely. The edges were crunchy but the middle was soft. The taquitos were not fried.

This is how I got my Chicken Supreme sandwich. Can you find the Bun? Luckily I didn't eat the raw part of the chicken. Raw.

Well, this was an unfortunate experience. Rarely do I give a one-star, but as soon as I got my meal, it should have been a sign that it was not going to go well. My burger arrived to me disheveled and definitely not what I expected (please see picture). I support small businesses and I love diners like Tom's...but Mayne not THIS Tom's. The service was nice. The inside diner looks updated and great. Very modern and still in progress. Everyone behind the counter is maskless, including the chef, and honestly, I expected hair in my food because there was someone with a lot of hair and no cap to cover it all behind the counter. He looked like he hated the world. But I found something worse: uncooked corner of my chicken. I know this because I bit into the slime. I spat it out and looked. Did I tell management? No. Should I? I should have. But after a long day of work I just did not have it in me. My boyfriend would like to blame the young and inexperienced cooks behind the counter. Sure, they might be short-staffed like many venues, but an uncooked piece of meat is unacceptable anywhere. Anyway, I am beginning to think that any place, anything, or anyone, with a similar name to someone I used to date might be a bad idea.

Stopped by for lunch today and noticed that the name of the restaurant changed to from Gus Jr to Mega Tom's. The menu seems to be same which is great. I did appreciate the new look and furniture in the dining area and definitely recommend stopping by for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Menu without pricing. Beware. Check your receipts too!

Beware if this business. Always shady. Check your receipts. Prices for the same exact thing i order every time, are always different. They charge you whatever they want! And now, theres not even prices on their outdoor menu! Not to mention the quality of food and service has seriously decline.

While in the High Desert for business with my partner, we stopped into Montecito Kitchen for lunch…read more She was craving Mexican food, which I'm always happy with, but I personally wanted something a little lighter and healthier--ideally a good salad. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical at first. In my experience, salads at Mexican restaurants can sometimes feel like an afterthought: a handful of greens with a few random toppings tossed in. That definitely wasn't the case here. I ordered the Montecito Chicken Salad, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The chicken was served warm (exactly how I like it on a salad) and seasoned perfectly. It wasn't dry or bland like you sometimes get with salad proteins--it was flavorful and clearly prepared with care. The portion size was also generous. Instead of a few tiny pieces scattered around, there was plenty of chicken, making the salad feel like a full and satisfying meal rather than a side dish pretending to be lunch. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and thoughtfully prepared. It's the kind of salad that reminds you a simple dish can still be done really well. Another thing that stood out was the service. The older women working there were incredibly kind and welcoming. You could tell they take pride in their work and in the place itself. That kind of genuine hospitality always makes a dining experience better. Music was at a tolerable level and reminded me of my childhood home, my mom played some great music when she cooked, cleaned or just vibed. Sometimes the most unexpected places end up being the best stops. Montecito Kitchen turned a quick lunch break into a really pleasant surprise. Next time I'm back in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to stop in again--there are plenty of other dishes on the menu I'd happily come back to try. Great food, warm service, and a salad that actually delivers. Definitely worth the stop.

The meat in these tacos was outstanding, with not one speck of gristle.. Homemade and better than my homemade. When people talk about great restaurants, they often mention fancy places with tiny portions,…read moreexpensive prices, and menus written in words no one can pronounce. But sometimes, the best food in the world doesn't come from a celebrity chef or a five-star building. Sometimes, it comes from a place that feels warm, familiar, and welcoming the moment you step inside. Down Home Grill is one of those places. It may not look like a luxury restaurant from the outside, but everything about it--its atmosphere, its food, its people, and the experience it gives customers--makes it stand out above anywhere else. For many people, including me, Down Home Grill isn't just a restaurant; it's a place that feels like home. That's why it deserves the title of the best restaurant in the world. One of the biggest reasons Down Home Grill is unmatched is the atmosphere it creates. From the second you walk in, you feel like you're entering a place where you belong. Unlike restaurants that try to impress you with overly fancy decorations, Down Home Grill uses simple familiarity to make you feel comfortable. The lighting is warm rather than harsh, the booths and tables feel sturdy and lived-in, and the walls might be decorated with local photos or old signs that bring a sense of history. There's always a low, friendly buzz of conversation, the clinking of silverware, and maybe a radio playing songs that everyone somehow knows. It feels like you've stepped into a living room for the whole community. Whether you're coming in with family, visiting with friends, or even going in alone, it always feels like there's a place for you. Not every restaurant is able to create that sense of belonging, but Down Home Grill does it effortlessly, and that's the first thing that sets it apart from the rest. Of course, atmosphere alone isn't enough to make a restaurant the best in the world. The food has to deliver--and at Down Home Grill, the food doesn't just deliver, it exceeds expectations every time. The dishes are built on recipes that taste like they've been perfected over decades. You don't get frozen, reheated meals or plates that look good but lack flavor. Everything tastes real and comforting. The pancakes are fluffy, the burgers are juicy, the sides are seasoned perfectly, and even simple items like toast or hash browns come out tasting like someone took actual care in making them. Down Home Grill specializes in the kind of food people don't just eat--they remember. It's the kind of cooking where every bite feels like a reminder of something familiar, even if you're trying it for the first time. And unlike many restaurants where quality changes depending on who's in the kitchen, Down Home Grill is consistent. Whether it's your first visit or your hundredth, the food always has the same homemade, comforting taste. Another thing that makes Down Home Grill exceptional is the variety it offers. It's not a restaurant that tries to overextend itself with a giant menu full of dishes no one orders, but it absolutely knows how to offer something for everyone. Whether you want a classic breakfast, a hearty lunch, or a satisfying dinner, there's always a dependable option waiting. Kids, adults, picky eaters, and adventurous eaters can all find something they'll enjoy. And everything feels balanced--nothing is too greasy, too bland, or too over-the-top. It's the kind of food that leaves you full in the best way, not uncomfortably stuffed or disappointed. Many restaurants struggle to get this balance right, but Down Home Grill handles it perfectly. But even great food and great atmosphere aren't enough to make a restaurant truly legendary. What makes Down Home Grill stand out even more is the people who work there. The service isn't just fast or efficient; it's genuinely kind. The staff treat customers like actual human beings instead of table numbers. They ask how your day is going, they remember regulars' usual orders, and they treat everyone with respect, no matter how busy the restaurant gets. Good service is something many restaurants claim to have, but at Down Home Grill, you don't just receive service--you experience hospitality. There's a difference between someone doing their job and someone making you feel cared for, and the employees at Down Home Grill understand that difference. They play a huge role in making every visit memorable. Another important reason Down Home Grill deserves the title of best restaurant in the world is its affordability. Great food doesn't have to empty your wallet, and this place proves that. While many restaurants charge extremely high prices for food that doesn't necessarily taste better, Down Home Grill keeps its prices fair. Families can go out to eat without stressing over the bill, and people who might not be able to afford expensive restaurants can still enjoy an incredible meal. Being affordable doesn't mean the restaurant lowers its quality; instead, it shows that they care.

The interior has a true, old school, country diner vibe that instantly is relaxing and welcoming. A little dim, alotta wood, a long counter, lots of comfortable booths, and a decent sized patio for folks to go have their smokes. The waitresses are easy going, friendly, and very on top of checking on diners & keeping our drinks full. On our very first visit, our waitress recommended the freshly made potato chips that come with house made bleu cheese and/or ranch and they are AMAZING!! It's the first thing we order and it's something we crave. Breakfast is served all day. At our latest visit, we had a feast. We started with the chips we'd been craving, had the Grilled BLT burger, Classic Eggs Benedict, and finished it all with coconut cream pie and apple pie à la mode. SO GOOD!! Considering the generous entree portions AND our scrumptious desserts, we took half of the chips and dressing home. (And they reheated beautifully in the air fryer!) And now I'm craving those chips and bleu cheese dressing :/ But seriously though, if I lived in the neighborhood, I'd get those chips at least once a week!

Fresh squeezed orange juice isn't as common as it should be, but it's worth the charge for each glass! I am fairly certain I had at least 3. My oldest daughter has a hard time ordering and got flustered when it was her turn. The waitress was so polite and patient, she gave us extra time and came back later to add my daughter's choice before sending our ticket to the kitchen. The waitress made sure that we knew there was no pressure and to let her take her time. Being a truck driver for 15+ years means that my husband is not a fan of truck stop restaurants, but after breakfast he said he wouldn't mind coming back again in the near future. That's quite the compliment.
