I looked at her and saw the cutest twinkle in her eyes and said..."let's". I couldn't say no and let me tell you that I have never had a lighter, crispier, closed eyed, slight moan escaping past smiling lips, the marshmallow cream filling, Cream Horn in my life. I will be going back with the wife for another sweet rendezvous....do drop in for great pastries, fair prices, and delightful folks behind the counter.

I'm from a small town in Eastern Kentucky and along with our one stop sign we had a small store Fallsburg Grocery. I was driving at the age of 13 and it was nothing for my Mom to tell me to go to the store to get thick cut bologna and Heiner's bread. I would always get a packaged creme horn. I don't recall the brand. I just know the wrapper had a bear on it and my sister and I loved them. So delicious. I'll definitely be back.

Sadly, no gelato, the machine has been down for about 3 months and the server didn't know when it would be fixed. Bummer, but I still wanted some pizza. For the uninitiated, Gino's does the quintessential Appalachian pizza: thinner crust, sweet sauce, very greasy. It was served quickly and very hot. Very affordable, I got a "large" and with a drink the bill came to about $12 with the special they were running. Bathroom and inside is sort of run down. It doesn't bother me though. Here's hoping the gelato maker gets repaired, it's the only place in town you can buy gelato.
