At Chinese Acupuncture Center in Princeton, NJ you will find deep compassion and empathy, met with…read moreunparalleled skill and experience. After almost five years of seeing multiple specialists- and undergoing more tests and trying more therapies, remedies, and gizmos than I could count- for increasingly debilitating leg pain and numbness in my feet, I finally found Chinese Acupuncture Center. In the past, acupuncture has helped me overcome chronic migraine and difficulty conceiving; it has certainly given me my life back more than once. But all acupuncturists are not created equal, and it wasn't until I moved to the Princeton area that I was able to find the courage to search again. When I found Dr. Xie's biography on her website, she had everything I had been hoping to find in a practitioner and more - over 30 years of practice, training from one of the world's top acupuncture schools, a lineage of healing arts, and an office so close to home I could drive myself. I'm so glad I made that first phone call. Dr. Xie's expertise goes far beyond her website bio. Rarely have I met someone who puts so much care into her patients. Dr. Xie genuinely cares about the health and well-being of her patients. She practices with a great depth of knowledge but an even greater depth of heart. She is upfront and honest with her assessments on how long treatment may need to be. She will get to the root of the problem- even if the problem doesn't have a name. She is also an incredibly skilled herbalist. My husband (whom she also treats) has called her the "miracle worker" and I couldn't agree more! If you are feeling all is lost, keep hope alive and call Chinese Acupuncture Center. Dr. Xie is like a lighthouse in the storm. She won't just lead you away from the rocks and back to the dark water to fend for yourself. She'll guide you to gentle bay waters under clear blue skies for the recovery and wellness you deserve.

So my son decided to stop the treatment as it was getting too hefty in costs. They kept giving us hope saying more treatments and herbs were needed and ultimately, their promises were not kept. We were very disappointed to say the least and would not recommend this practice for acne at all.

At…read morefirst I thought some ice, rest, and Advil would relief me of this excruciating pain but after few months of nothing changed I decided to see what else may help. Dr. Wang's office was quite close to my house so I went and set up an appointment with her. When I first met her she seems like a very approachable as well as knowledgeable person, we got to know each other a bit and she told me she also did cupping and moxibustion, which I got me curious if those would help since I'm a bit afraid of pins. She told me acupuncture was the best way to go with the type of pain I have and since I've had this pain for a few months, I would need to have multiple treatments. It didn't sound that great, but after her explaining and just trying it one at a time I realized it wasn't that bad. After just 4 treatments I've noticed a huge difference from having pain that felt like my shoulder was going to break off from its socket to just really sore tightness. It's been 7 treatments now and I'm definitely glad I decided to give Dr. Wang and acupuncture a try.

Although I was a little nervous at first about the needles, once you let go and trust her to work her magic, you get used to the teeny tiny pricks and before long, you begin to feel the chi flowing freely through your body and it is the coolest feeling... I feel like I'm floating on a zen cloud for the rest of the day, and the effect lingers throughout the week! I haven't been getting treatment long enough to see if it's really helped my fertility (I still haven't conceived), but getting the chance to deeply relax and do something healthy for my body once a week while trying to conceive is so beneficial during an otherwise very stressful time!! I've been getting all these side benefits, too! The treatments have really helped reduce my anxiety--to the point that I've reduced my anxiety medication because the weekly acupuncture is so relaxing and calming! Dr. Awan also has a guide for dietary and supplement suggestions for fertility and I am so grateful for them because there is SO MUCH information out there about what to do/eat/not eat/not do while trying to conceive and getting to see a caring health professional once a week who can answer my questions and provide advice specifically to ME is SO helpful! Did I mention fertility is her specialty and she even offers a special fertility rate?? She's the best!!

Zohra Awan is an amazing practitioner who is credentialed and has a wall full of certificates upon entering. I felt instant relief after visiting her from a spinal sprain I had just two days prior that took me to the ER. After visiting her, I haven't had to take any muscle relaxants or pain medication that was prescribed to me. She explained acupuncture to me the way acupuncturists in the past have not, and also conducted dry cupping which allows for better blood flow. I am definitely in awe of eastern medicine and definitely am a believer- I highly recommend you visit Princeton AcuHealth and set up your appointment.
