I have been coming here for about 6 months now for eyebrow threading. My first visit was after two years of allowing my brows to grow out and never being threaded (only waxed), so I was nervous; however, my esthetician made me feel comfortable and talked to me throughout each step of the process. I really appreciated how she took her time to go over each part in detail and show me in the mirror what she was doing. She also evened out my brows since one had started growing higher than the other, making them look uneven! Since that first visit, I come by every 4-5 weeks for maintenance on my brows. It's generally a quick visit, maybe 15-20 minutes, and I leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. The salon itself is very nice. The space where they perform the brow/lash services always smells good and it's a relaxing ambience, very quiet and with soothing textures (cozy blankets for where you put your feet) and colors. Great eyelash place in white plains! The store itself is very clean and the techs always make sure to wash their hands before starting. The people there are also very kind and caring, they try to help you out however they can. Unfortunately you have to find street parking. So about the lashes: Got the hybrid set 2 weeks ago and it's still lasting! My eyes have been watery from allergies and they still look great and full. Overall, this is a great lash place to go to especially when you live in white plains. The only downside is the price of the new set (hybrid $200) and refills (for hybrid $125). Meghan the owner did my lashes and i love her! Not only did she 100% listen to my vision, but she made me feel so comfortable throughout the whole process. I never got my lashes done before and was nervous about them being to dramatic. I showed her pictures as well as voiced that i was nervous because it was for my wedding. She assured me that she would not do anything too dramatic and if i wanted for she could always add. This place was nice and professional - the receptionist even helped me add more money to my meter while I was getting my set. I took one star off because they have a patent pending seal they put on the very end which in theory is great because lashes stayed on longer, but now is scary because they won't naturally fall off even though my lashes have grown out. So now I have ratchet looking lashes that are too heavy for my natural lash that won't come off because of the seal! read more

Megan came HIGHLY recommended from someone in the beauty business. I have never had lash extensions before. My normal lashes are very long and I have never had a need for them. However, recently I have been suffering from chronic dry eye, which causes eye infections and my eyelashes will fall out and be patchy in spots. The day before I had a party to go to, I thought about having it done. I popped in to see Megan and she first advised me that she wouldn't recommend it until my eye had totally healed and secondly doesn't really recommend them for people who need to continuously use eye drops. (I use prescription eye drops twice a day as well as an antibiotic eye drop) Also, she went on further to say that she felt the situation wasn't as bad as I thought it was and was noticeable to me because I was fixating on it a bit. Coming from someone in lash business, she somehow managed to make me feel better. If I ever do decide in the future that I want to have extensions done, I would DEFINITELY go to Megan. Only a TRUE professional would give you an HONEST opinion like that. She was more concerned about doing the right thing for me than putting money in her pocket. Great experience at the shop. All of the girls were welcoming and friendly. I was happy with the service and my lashes looked great leaving the shop. I was a little disappointed after the fact as the lashes started to fall out the same evening that I got them and I have continued to lose lashes every day since. I have been getting lash extensions for over 2 years now and this is the first time I have experienced them falling out so frequently and quickly. Note that I do not excessively brush them, when I clean them I use a q-tip around the area and I am as gentle as possible. Again great customer service and experience in the shop, I just wish the set would last a little longer. read more

Unfortunately I cannot critique their services. I made an appointment for 3 PM and when I got there,on time, the place was locked up. No bell, so I knocked, no answer. So, I called and the girl claimed I had an appointment at 1:30. Since I have a special needs child that does not get out of program until after 2pm, 12 months a year, I would've NEVER made a 1:30 appointment for anything. I spoke to Megan, no attempt was made to either rebook me, so I said goodbye and moved on. I received a text after I left trying to rebook. I'm not interested in companies that can't keep appointments straight, especially when you don't know what someone went through to get to the appointment ON TIME. With so much competition out there for this expensive service with extensive upkeep, you'd think potential regular clients are what they are looking for. Guess not. read more

I just got my lashes done at Meg-a-Lashes and they look and feel AWESOME!! I have sensitive, dry eyes (from Lasik) and get very itchy and red from certain mascaras and benefits strip lashes. I have none of that from Meg-a-Lashes. My eyes aren't red at all! It feels like nothing is on my eyes! The glue she uses doesn't smell or burn or irritate my sensitive eyes at all. I've been getting lash extensions for more than a year and for my sister's wedding I decided to have my old lashes removed and a fresh set applied. The shop was beautiful, the technician I worked with was very nice and I like the way my lashed looked when I left the salon. Unfortunately, by the 3rd day, more than half the lashes had fallen out- probably something to do with the old set removed. When I reached out to Meg- lashes, Megan texted me right away and booked an appointment for me to return to have the lashes replaced at no cost. I had a mixed experience here. I made a last minute appointment literally the day I wanted to do my lashes and there was an opening available which was amazing on a Sunday. The ladies that work here are great. I did my lashes with Tracy and she is a sweetheart. I told her I wanted a little bit of a longer lash than mine and I love natural looking lashes. I didn't want dramatic lashes for an every day look especially for work. When she was done my lashes were not exactly what I expected but I decided that maybe it was just me. My boyfriend thought they were way too long for small and almond shaped eye and very dramatic towards the end of my eye. I went back the next day and she was able to fix them which was great but I wish I didn't have to go back to redo my lashes. A concern I've had since I first left the salon is the corner of the left eye has been red since. The irritation has not gone down since Sunday. read more
