Asking for extra glue has been helpful for my experience in making the lashes last longer. Great service and place, but what I did not like is how persistent the manager or front desk person was being when it came to tipping. I always tip, but at the time and because they gave me someone else's spot, I was not fully prepared. The person at the front desk was mentioning how the lash tech had two kids and needed my tip because that is how they get paid. Now my question is why is your employee ONLY benefitting from my tips ? Are you not paying your employees enough that they NEED the tip ? I also asked the front desk if tipping was recommended or mandatory and she kept avoiding the question, not to mention that there is a sign in the front that indicates that tip is recommended. Last but not least, the manager/ person in the front requested for me to not come back if I have no tip. All in all, they are a very good place, but as a business you should never have a back and forth with your customers, let alone put your employees personal business out there and OBLIGATE someone to tip. read more

I have got my lashes done couple times here and there & never liked it due to how unnatural it looked. As soon as I got my lashes done, I got so many compliments from my friends and coworkers! First time at fluffy. I wanted the special promotion $39 for 60 pieces. I ended up leaving spending over $70. The lady was pushy and telling me to get the special soft mink and add on more lashes even when I kept telling her I don't want to over do it and a wanted simple look. I recently moved to the Westchester area and was looking for a new eyelash place. After a few friend's recommendations, I decided to try Fluffy in Harrison. I came in with lash extensions from the old place and when I had what they considered a consultation, the manager or woman who runs the front desk, was not pleasant... I mean, at all. Perhaps she was busy but as a first time customer, I did not get a good first impression nor did I feel my needs and concerns were being taken into account. I did not feel heard. She was very persistent almost as if she says the same thing and pushes the same thing onto every customer. The eyelash extension places I have gone to in the past have always made it a point to listen to what their customers want, make sure they are able to deliver that, and overall, listen to them. Well, that was not the case at this place. I started off with asking for short in the beginning, then longer, and then longest at the end. I asked about the Russian 5-D they had on the wall. I emphasized that I was very happy with the kind and style of eyelash I currently was wearing and, while I understand each eyelash place is different and do not use the same materials, I very much am used to and love a dramatic look, and that I was looking for something similar. Well, the manager shrug it off and did not really listen to me. She then asked me if I wanted (some kind of) mink or feather mink (which were terms that were very new to me), I asked what the difference was and she seemed bothered and annoyed and continued to push for the mink and said to get 100 pc. (Again, hurrying me and looking around as if I was taking up too much of her time). At this point, I couldn't help but feel she was just pushing for what was most expensive, so instead of the 100 pc I went with the 80 piece and the feather mink. Then I was asked about the size, again, I mentioned I was used to 12,13,14, and 15 mm at the last place I would go to, and the manager again seemed bothered, and rushed me (cut me off) saying "Your eyelash would not be able to carry that weight, and it would not look natural". I went with the longest being 13 and emphasized I wanted short in the beginning, then longer, and then longest at the end. (Which she showed me a picture of in the beginning and was not what I got)!!! The manager agreed and it was off to do the job. Once the technician was done, I realized the lashes were all the same size! It looked nothing like what I asked for and it was clear I was not very happy, however, I figured it was because of the lighting and unfamiliarity with the place. I thought, maybe once I get home it will fall into place. I tipped anyway, because the technician had nothing to do with it. Although, it did hurt me have to pay for a job I was unhappy with because it's not like they charge $2. I am always happy when I tip and feel I am a generous tipper in general, however, this was not the case. Anyway, later on I went home, and was very unsatisfied with the job. It was as if I did not have any extensions on at all. And I am not exaggerating, my natural eyelashes are naturally very long. I was going to let it go, however, I work hard for my money and wanted to voice that I was not happy with the job, which I did. I ended up speaking to the manager and again, she was very unpleasant. Continued with saying how she only did as I told her. They did try to make up for it, however were very unreasonable with finding a spot for me to come in and instead of fixing the job (as any other reputable place would have done) they told me I could come in for a fill in. (Which I had to pay over $60 for. Not including the tip). I wish I could say i'd be going back and that I found a place closer to home I feel comfortable with, however, I am clearly still on the hunt for a professional lash extension place with clear communication. The second job they did was not horrible, however, my overall dissatisfaction was that I did not feel the manager took the time to listen to what I wanted, made promises she could not/did not keep, and did not care to communicate/ explain efficiently. This is not the place for tinting gray eyelashes/eyebrows. Their product is more like a dark conditioner that does not cover grays. They keep the product on longer than other places (15 minutes instead of 5-7 minutes) -- and it's less effective. What's worse is that instead of taking responsibility for a bad product, the owner insisted her tech kept the product on less time when she told me it was on for the full 15 minutes... and then said it was due to my oily skin and thicker lashes that it didn't cover the grays. Nonsense! I've had tinting done for years at other places and never did I have this issue. Furthermore, the tech cleansed the lashes and brows beforehand, so even if I had oily skin (which I don't have -- quite the opposite actually), it would have been wiped away. I am truly shocked at the horrible services received by this company. The lash tech dee called my phone very upset and my review demanding I delete it. Said the owner is very upset and she will buy me dinner if I come back and remove my review giving them a 5 star that they do not deserve. She started telling me how she has a child and needs her job and a long drawn out story. I was beyond perplexed by her aggressive nature.
