I knocked on the door and came in and interrupted their gossip about clients and they were very aggressive. what was said is irrelevant it's the tone in which they used their words, unacceptable. I don't want to be in a place where I need to use my aggressive side. The staff other staff for some reason focus on helping certain people and completely ignore the needs of others. Most of the other clients agreed that this place is at the bottom of the barrel compared to other institution. I don't want to be in a place where some of the employees think is ok to be aggressive to people when they are at their most vulnerable. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

It is called a health "system," and, indeed, Arbour reeks of an organization that is morally degraded. The staff appear unhappy to a person, and the doctors, case workers, and nurses seem uniformly hardened to the needs of patients. They don't want to be there, nor should you or your loved ones. The state really needs to intervene in some way. The normal placement process most often plays out so that patients and families have no choice over mental health hospitals, however if you do have a choice, then don't choose Arbour.

After a great deal of thought, I write this to let others know my experience, and advise people to be careful to find a good person to help with counseling. Some can damage more than help. I have filed a complaint with my insurance and the state licensing agency. A few weeks ago there was another not so flattering comment here which has disappeared.

However, when I specifically state in the original intake that I need to be seen for medication, I would like to be seen relatively soon. Instead, they told me there was a 2 week wait, which I could have forgiven, had they not told me at the end of the two weeks to wait another 2 weeks. They sent this last message through my counselor, and suggested I call my last prescriber, who I had already stated that I did not want to contact. This was something that I also mentioned in my first session in intake as well as with the counselor, but, hey, I guess it's not important unless it's an emergency. I hate to be the kind of person that fakes an emergency, but it seems like you have to if you want to be seen anytime soon.
