Helpful, Detailed Inspection Report!…read more During our house hunt, in October 2016, my family hired Active Home Inspection, owned by Adam Jasiewicz, to conduct an inspection on a home that we were under contract on. Mr. Jasiewicz personally responded to my business request with a fast response time (same business day). And, most importantly, he was flexible to accommodate many schedules (buyers, sellers and two real estate agents, in addition to his own). Mr. Jasiewicz arrived to the site, explained his inspection plan (including estimated timeframe) and began promptly. He appeared to be precise and often asked questions to ensure accuracy and, in turn, answered questions posed to him. I was impressed that he spent nearly four hours on property! We received an incredibly detailed home inspection report the following morning. We are second-time home buyers and certainly did not receive such detailed work from our previous inspector. Mr. Jasiewicz provided plenty of photographs to complement his analysis which included red arrows to specifically note areas of concern, when needed. Additionally, Mr. Jasiewicz was forthcoming in identifying properly functioning areas and, of course, areas of concern with his recommendation to solicit repairs from a certified contractor. My real estate agent had a follow-up question regarding an issue that we wanted to fix and, again, Mr. Jasiewicz replied promptly and with full explanation. Overall, my experience with Active Home Inspection was remarkable. Although Mr. Jasiewicz works with many clients, I felt that he was fully invested in my property with my best interest in mind. I have no complaints about Active Home Inspection and highly recommend this company to those seeking home inspection services. The process of home-buying is stressful and complicated, and it is a relief to have an expert like Mr. Jasiewicz in one's corner. He made me feel confident in my home-buying decision and I am grateful!

HOME BUYERS BEWARE. I purchased my first home this past November and used this company as my…read moreinspector. HomeTech Home Inspections told me in no uncertain terms that I am connected to city sewer. One month into owning my home, I find out I actually have a septic tank and that there is physically and literally NO possible way I could be connected to city sewer. How did I find out? The septic tank was completely full and the drain field failing. I have paid almost $1000 in repairs at this point, and need to pay an additional $8000 to get the drain field repaired. How could they get something so wrong? Great question. Turns out, the sellers home listing is enough for HomeTech Home Inspections to validate that you have city sewer. That is the method they used to tell me that I am connected to city sewer. That's right. I hired a company to validate the things the seller told me about the condition of the home, and they used the seller's word to validate it. Super cool. In the face of $9000 in repairs, I sought a refund from Home Tech Home inspections. Of the $1400 I paid HomeTech Home Inspections during my home buying process, they offered me only a $200 refund. Greg, the owner of HomeTech, told me that I should have known I had a specific tank going into buying the house. Thanks Greg! I agree! That's why I hired a home inspector. A lot of good that did me. To get something so fundamental wrong when your whole business is to tell people about their houses is crazy. I'm interested to see what else is going to come up while living here. Many people failed me in this experience but this one really just stands out.

We are glad that we did and Hometech Home Inspections did a great job. They were on time, respectful and found things we would have never thought of. They check everything in the house, one item was one shower had the hot and cold water connections reverse, a hole on top of roof, paint issues, oven door issue. We also got the house inspection report the same day detailing everything that was found. Highly recommend "Hometech Home Inspections" for your house inspection. Thanks Greg for a great job and giving us a peace of mind about our new house.

Jeff is my 10/10 recommend…read more I can personally attest to his level of professionalism and skill. Having worked with him a couple of times for my clients' home inspections, Jeff's prices are fair and his speed and diligence is unmatched. He also has experience in his past with contractor work, so he looks beyond the typical things a general home inspection maybe would have. In addition to that, you can also order several other things like a wind mitigation, 4 point, WDO (wood destroying organisms) and general home inspection report from him. Thanks again for your great work, Jeff!

Last week prior to giving an educational talk for seniors in Mt Dora a person driving a bright blue truck with Liberty "protecting your investment" aggressively prevented me from merging. I admit I should have planned sooner however I was navigating a new and unfamiliar area and I was taken aback by how aggressive the driver of the blue "Liberty, we protect your investment" truck was in not wanting to let me in. If this is how this person is operating in the community then beware. I'd look elsewhere for a property inspector. A simple decision to not choose to be kind, actively choose to be aggressive and not assume positive intention of citizens in your community has effects especially when your business name and phone number are posted on your vehicle.
