We had a problem with our water heater and had a few ppl look at it, they were giving us bizarre diagnosis. I was really fed up. A friend referred Mr. Hassan, and we called him and he came to look at it. Right off the bat, he was like, you need a new unit (ours is 20yrs old and it was leaking everywhere). He didn't say, oh let me open it up, try to fix it and if that doesn't work, you will need a new unit. He was honest and said you really need a new unit and I'll be happy to set it up for you. So my husband bought a unit Mr. Hassan suggested, and of course I need to read about it before taking anyone's suggestion. Lone and behold, he actually recommended a really good unit, so i felt comfortable that he's not ripping us off. We got it and he came and helped unload it and set it up that day within a few short hours. We didn't need to turn off the main water, just the hot water for no more than 2 hours. He barely charged anything and we were like, no way this is going to work! Man, everything was working great and we've had hot water for days now. I referred him to my sister got her AC. she went through at least 4 different companies and was fed up! He went over 2 days ago and got it done for her. We said we will recommend him to anyone who really needs honest, GOOD, reasonably priced work. He charged my sister about $350! She said everyone else was over $700. Anyhow, I'm just really impressed and happy there are still some ppl around that are willing to do good work at good prices. Best of luck to everyone! read more

This could be due to the fact that this was a call via my home warranty BUT..... This company did the absolute BARE MIN in regard to diagnosing my AC issue. Of course the typical "low Freon" was the diagnosis. When i asked where the lead was i was told that would require a new service call. WHAT!?!?! That does NOT qualify as a diagnosis. I am not an AC tech but i know that closed systems don't just leak for no good reason. I wanted to know why its leaking and if it could be fixed or if i needed to replace. On top of that they wanted to charge 220.00 per gallon for Freon. When i talked to another HVAC company they said that at most i should be charged 100.00/gallon. In addition, I had to educated the tech as to how to read the serial number in order to get the age of the unit. REALLY!?!?!? Get me the tool belt i got this! I hope that this company is just being told what to do via My home warranty and do not conduct themselves in this manner regularly. Oh and what home warranty do i have that you should pass on?? Never hire this company the guy is unprofessional he doesn't know what is doing if i could i give 0 he came the first time to inspect the AC and he didn't inspect it and said was lack of maintenance when I've doing the maintenance and replacing the filters every month and then he the second time and i told him the AC is not cooling and what i could notice is the fan is not spinning after a few hours working and it starts doing a weird noise and he said is the fun needs to replace without inspect it and my unit still is not cooling. read more

Called to check air con problem ( no cool air). The person from company did things by himself without explanation and getting agreement from home owner for expense . Then , demanded expensive charge ( more than1000$ ). There was barely cool air. He said to wait and see ( he said it will take time ).We paid . He did not show any prove of adding gas-Freon and changing items with new ones( no prove of pressure change after adding Freon; he said 10 Lbs without showing any prove ; he asked 100$ for one pound ; no evidence of new items he said he changed ) .All are his saying and writing in paper as he wished. Problem is still there after that . He does not know what the problem is . There is difficulty to call him to fix the problem for follow -up visits . ( Not solve yet ; still no cool air until now after giving more than 1000$)) .Not recommend to do business with this company at all . read more

Take heed 'everyone' do not assign yourselves to Select Home Warranty ever they are a joke! I too was duped via this very unprofessional show of a company; showed up in an unmarked mini van with no distinctive characteristics of being a service individual at all! I too was just in need of a freon fix and a filter but was charged $125 to be told my interior filter was dirty (when it was not, high end filter had been changed out as of 8/11/21 had not been even fifteen days from date but threw out and replaced in his face just to appease-stated nothing was wrong with AC unit stated yes there is it's leaking stated condensation, I disagreed due to being told AC was leaking and needed a cap on pipe by home insurance adjuster who had came out week prior. He went back out stated AC unit needed a filter/freon okay when will that work be done-TODAY?! Of course not have to submit to Select Home Warranty for approval, why? What was $125 for to convince one they're at fault for AC unit cutting on and off without cause as reported to Select Home Warranty. Phoned Select Home Warranty for results of requested service for filter/freon on 8/26 was told via Clint that it took two/three today for response would receive via email; stated request from HVAC company was received. Why do I receive denial on 8/26 stating smell coming from AC unit is not covered-what smell???!!!!! Goes on to further insult the customer by implying the unit lack of servicing caused the issue! AC unit has been serviced less than a year ago by an excellent company 'SYNERGY' Anthony's (the owner) great(that's a plug)! I'll be callin him out to continue his excellent job at maintaining my freon dependent system that he manages to whip into shape to maintain my family for the years prior and those to come! I phoned SHW just to see & show how shawty they are in there both there practices and selection in sub contractors. I wanted to actually see what my monthly billing dupeness would buy me; absolutely nothing but a loss of $125 and sitting on the phone rn as I write this critique waiting for/on what they call 'customer loyalty' to pick up it's been 48 minutes since I was transferred ........so I can rid Select Home Warranty from my bank account and my life forever! So when someone tells you get a home warranty make sure you research these companies because they can be worse than you going on home advisor or Yelp and just being duped on your own time for free! At least the service call fee usually goes towards the service in this case you're payin out to be played with no results read more
