Gotta buy the needful items such as purchasing two 12.5 -liter Kimchee containers which I use storing organic Basmati rice and organic, Soona Masoori rice, an extra-large, stainless steel, three-foot wide diameter, Kimchee mixing bowl, an extra-large mesh strainer, a medium size mesh strainer, and more importantly, I gotta have them ALL despite, breaking the existentially meager, proverbial, piggy bank . . . Haplessly, absolutely geeking out purchasing twelve Seafood Noodle Soup Bowls for $1.49 each rather than paying almost $4.00 each then, perusing the entire store: Purchasing one Halal, whole chicken, a myriad of fresh seafood on sale, exotic fruits on sale, Soju, Makgeolli, i.e., just naming a "few items" I bought. Despondently admitting, that's the stark reality replenishing my depleted pantry, freezer, and refrigerator for 2026 . . . Ho-hum.

Since KP International originated as a Korean market there is a huge selection of Korean food and has the most extensive inventory of Korean products. There are multiple security guards throughout the store as a crime deterrent and can call the police if needed. Even the cashiers are overly vigilant. On one occasion I was pushing my cart by the register to look at items arraigned across from the register and I was yelled at that I needed to pay. I explained I was going to the items for sale and the cashier told me I needed to leave my cart next to the register. I left my cart next to the register and she stood next to it and proceeded to stare me down as I went to look at the display with the items. The Tofu Soup from the food court area was average. There was barely any seafood but it tasted good. There was a large amount of kimchi served on the side with a side of rice. The cost was high considering the lack of ingredients in the soup. Ordering on the kiosk was fast and easy. Service was good as the workers were friendly and helpful.

Rancho has been needing someplace like that for a long time. This iteration of the SF Market chain is in a spiffy new shopping center. It's a nice change to have an attractive new market to go to. The parking lot outside is nice, and is well lit in the evenings. I've noticed that the employees at this store seem friendlier and more inclined to be helpful to customers.

I I occasionally venture out to Rancho Cordova to shop at this SF supermarket. SF supermarket is an…read moreAsian based grocery store. It still has the brand new look and feel for having opened in November 2024. There are things that I absolutely appreciate about this supermarket. The good things: +Clean, modern interior. +The selection of groceries includes some Korean and Indian staples. +They also have a ton load of a variety of rice and produce. +They have an aisle full of plates, bowls, and cooking implements with competitive prices. +The cashiers now assist folks to bag the groceries; this helps the lines move quicker and eliminates that awkward stand and stare action. +The fishmonger does free cleaning and fish frying. Yay... less work for me. +The supermarket is within a shopping plaza with food options (boba tea shop, fast food, sit down restaurants), jewelry shop, Korean beauty product shop, hair salon, and more. Other things ... - Some fish on ice have cloudy discolored eyes. Since the fish is behind the glass, you can ask the staff to show you the other fish in the pile. You are looking for clear eyes. So for folks that like to actually feel or pickup the fish (like myself), you have to verbally communicate with the fishmonger to select the one you want. The staff all speak English. [The person who helped me voluntarily showed me the other fish, he was a man of few words and expressionless. He was helpful, polite, and courteous. Not mean but having a stoically cool demeanor. Please don't take his lack of Susie Sunshineness as a personal attack]. - Majority of the produce are sold pre bagged/shrink wrapped packaged by the grocer. No breaking up the bags into a smaller quantity. Plus I tend to have to cook the produce within a few days before they turn south on me. -There is no hot food or hot meat/poultry counter which is usually customary in Asian supermarkets.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience at Four Season Market in Sacramento, CA was upsetting…read moreand honestly concerning as a parent. I purchased clearance food items that I later realized -- without even opening them -- were clearly not fresh and not safe to eat. This is especially serious to me because I have children, and I rely on stores to sell food that is safe for families. What makes this worse is that I was told in the store that these products were "safe" and that employees buy them themselves. When I returned to request a refund, one associate initially said it would be accepted. However, the same employee who originally reassured me suddenly refused, became visibly upset, and told me "it's the law" that they cannot take the items back. That statement is misleading -- stores cannot avoid responsibility for selling food that is not safe for consumption. On top of that, during the same visit I was overcharged for other items compared to the posted prices, which added to my frustration and concern about how this business operates. This was not just poor customer service -- it raises serious concerns about food safety and consumer rights. I strongly recommend that others carefully inspect any items before purchasing here and double-check prices at checkout.

I regularly stop in to pick up treats, drinks, produce like mushrooms and okra, and their poke and hot meal options. I also like their home goods sections with so many cool ramen bowls, sauce containers, and utensils. I'm always excited when I stop in when it's slower because I can take my time browsing. Whenever this happens I end up leaving with a lot more items. I appreciate that they carry a wide variety of items including some ingredients and items that are hard to find in the US and even at other Asian grocery stores. I've stopped into many different stores and I feel like Oto's has variety and quality at a great price. They do have their own parking, but be careful because it can be pretty tight and there's usually a good amount of cars coming in and out.

But none of those reasons are the real reason I truly love Oto's,let me tell you what I really love.....Late last year I decided I was going to learn how to make my favorite food in the world and that is sushi.I went ham,I got the knives I got the kits,I got the rice maker,I got all the seasonings but what I didn't have was a spot to pick up the highest level of fish that was needed to really make homemade sushi pop and that is where Oto's came in to save the day. Their daily "sushi-grade" tuna and salmon that they sell in the back of the store is so next level-even a novice like myself cannot mess up a homemade sushi meal. They have so much to offer at Oto's,all the different levels of salmon and tuna, depending on your budget but all of it is amazing. I will forever be indebted to Oto's for helping me raise my sushi game at home and making my wife think that I'm just the best sushi maker-when it was always just the high quality fish offered at Oto's that did the work-Thank You Oto's for that. In closing-if you ever find yourself in the Land Park area and want to see what all the hype is about at this incredible spot or maybe you just want to try your hand at some home sushi making,be sure to stop by Oto's Marketplace-it truly is a gem amongst gems. PS....Parking sucks here-no way around that one unless u get lucky or have a handicap placard-don't like the parking.
