Ripped me off twice. And attempted to a third time. I went in and got a rattley exhaust fixed by them. First time was $900 and after 4 days it started rattling again. Took it back to them and they said you have to pay for the piece of metal to fix their mess up, whatever, paid another $100 and rattle was gone. A month or two later it comes back, and I'm not even going to attempt to go back there. They say they will honor warranty work and try and milk every last penny out of you. I went to the Porsche Dealership and they quoted me LESS THEN HALF of what they charged for being a little exhaust shop in the corner. I asked the mechanics to investigate the problems I was having with my car. They verbally told me everything they found wrong with it, and the repairs they quoted me were very expensive. I picked up my car without repairing it here, but paid for a diagnostic. It took multiple days and several phone calls to receive the written report of each repair I needed and the cost for everything. Initially, I only received pictures of my car and hard to read codes. I felt as if they did not want to give me the written diagnostic I paid for and kept putting it off. Initially, they told me they were super busy and did not have time to give me the report, but when I called them over and over they told me they would send it right away. Meanwhile I was waiting hours to hear nothing back from them. Do not recommend taking your car here; there are many other repair shops in the same strip mall. read more

Worst shop, the owner did not tell me a set pricebefore doing the work, and just shrugged off when asked how much it will be. Decided to go on with the work and after when i went to pickup vehicle, owner just went and hide around the shop, not wanting to discuss why such a ridiculus price for a simple weld. Left vehicle a day before so it can be done early next day in the morning but owner decided to work on it at the very end of the day. Worst guy but the lady was very nice. read more

I found Mr. Medina to be honest and patient. I went there thinking it was my muffler, but he explained and showed me the problems with my car. The muffler and pipe were fine. The small piece of connection pipe had disconnect from the muffler making it very noisey. He replaced that small six inch piece of pipe in 15 minutes. Definitely my new go-to muffler shop. I used the place by Kmart before, they were pretty good, but an exhaust repair took a couple hours without telling me I'd be sitting there that long. I thought that was relatively quick. I took my car to a place by work in Medinah, they saw the flange between the muffler and mid pipe was shot and told me they needed to replace everything behind the catalytic - $600 parts, $100 labor. But I looked up the parts and they would cost half that from NAPA, and my car is 15 years old - not gonna happen. I brought it to Medina Mufflers, he said he'd just cut out the rotten part and weld in new pipe for less than $100. I was in and out in half an hour. Really professional guy, pointed out other problems but didn't insist on them, didn't push unneeded work, just did exactly what was needed. Can't beat that. read more

Went to Medina's muffler shop to get a custom exhaust on my 2018 Chevrolet Silverado. I brought a flowmaster super 10 Delta Force muffler that I purchased online for them to put it on. I was told the muffler is too small which is BS because it is a universal two and a half input two and a half output fitting. I was then up sold one of their mufflers which he charged me $180 for a muffler that you can easily buy online for $79 on various websites. for a 10-in s-pipe connecting the new muffler to the old pipe into the resignator I was charged $140. When I confronted Jay about the pricing, i asked how he charges 60% more than what is retail, and he said he can charge whatever he feels necessary and these are his prices. I waited 4 hours for a 17 minute job to be done and ended up paying $320 for a 10-in pipe and a muffler that would have usually costed me $79. This place straight up is all about service. We pulled in with no appointment and one loud-ass noise disrupting conversations INSIDE the car! I was thinking at least 3bills to get the whole system replaced. I told them upfront that this was the "soccer team vehicle"... lots of miles and wear and tear with many issues that will need to be addressed but my main focus was the NOISE! We were told the wait could be up to 25mins (all bays were occupied) but got the car up on the lift in less than 15mins. It took just a couple of minutes to find the source of the problem and give us a very REASONABLE price to fix it. They did not try to diagnose every other problem with the car or upsell other services ... I came - got THE problem fixed that I needed fix - and was out within 35minutes. The car belonged to my daughter and I have since told her this is the ONLY place to take it back for service....Great job Medina Mufflers... we will be back! read more

Very professional, fast and courteous service. I did read reviews for the Medina Mufflers and after some bad experience in the past with other similar shops decided to give them a try. Without making appointment I drove there and asked about fixing my problem with exhaust- it was loud and I could smell fumes in the cabin. After initial check I was told that flexible pipe need to be replaced. I asked when that can be done and on my surprise they said right a way- it will take about 1 hour and also told me the reasonable price- maybe little higher then expected but still in good range. Medina Performance Mufflers are fantastic people. I drove there on Tuesday 7/9/19 with a exhaust problem, my muffler fell off and was dragging under the van. I was told to park at the lift and before I knew it Roman had the van in the air and telling me what he observed and a price for the repair which was more than fair.
