Their daughter had driven them to Ankeny. I picked them up from there, drive them to their hotel on the South side, and we were hanging out a little the evening before their flight. Both use CPAPs and had forgotten to grab distilled water. I ran them for their hotel over to this Walgreens to get what they needed along with a few snacks and stuff. It's probably a little older location and could use some TLC in areas, but they have a great selection of items and service was fine.

By late afternoon, I had not received the expected text to pick up my prescription. I called and was told there was no prescription in the system. I called my Dr's office thinking it was a problem on their end, but it was the end of the work day and someone had to investigate it. I was contacted early the next morning by my Dr's office saying they had re-sent the script (and verified the pharmacy and location). This was around 7 AM. By nine, there was still no prescription for me in Walgreen's automated system. So I called and finally talked to a pharmacist. She was quite rude, informing me that there were 37 prescriptions in her in box and she would not look to see if mine was among them. An hour later, when Walgreen's still did not have my prescription in their automated system, I called the Dr's office and requested they send the script to a different pharmacy. I got my prescription with no issues from Medicap. I will not be using the Walgreens on Fleur for any prescriptions going forward.

Good luck if you can get in and out of the pharmacy in under a hour. The line always takes forever and a day, wouldn't be too bad if they would move with a purpose. Seems like is a hassle for them to open up the second register when there is a big line. We have a family member on several meds and a pharmacist tech is the one that caught I was not giving a correct dosage. It's amazing to me that he spent a lot of time with me to figure that out, and I never felt I was being an inconvenience to him. I felt he cared. Sine then, we have had other issues with ins, paperwork, refills, etc. I have always been treated like I was their only patient. For me, customer service wins out every time. I checked out "Cash Saver" on its Grand Opening day. It was mid-afternoon and I hadn't seen the…read moreparking lot this full in years. I braced myself for a busy, chaotic store. I had my infant daughter with me and had problems finding a cart without a broken strap to buckle her in. The carts were not in the best shape. After finally locating a cart that would be safe for her, I moved on. I was greeted with wooden tubs full of discounted products from plastic Easter eggs to Prego pasta sauce to Ramen Noodles. These were priced great, even after adding 10%. Next stop the produce. I will say the produce looked much better than what Dahl's had. Price wise, it was hit or miss. Some were priced well while I wasn't impressed with others. This trend continued throughout the store. There were excellent prices on some things and then some not so impressive prices. On to the checkout. I've never liked these checkouts where you send the cart to one side while you go to the other (especially with an infant strapped in). They had plenty of checkouts open and opened more while I was in line. I was warmly greeted and chatted with the lady. You can use coupons here as well and I handed those over without any problem. I was very happy with my final bill! I'll be back for more great deals!
