Our 11 year old son had a bad cough that was not getting better. The Medical Center got us in same day and the receptionist was kind and spoke excellent English. After a very short wait, the doctor greeted all of us and gave our son a basic exam in his office. He was very kind and very good with children. He prescribed a steroid, a six day antibiotic treatment and a herbal cough syrup that we picked up immediately at a pharmacy near the duomo for under €30. This is a fantastic service especially if English is your spoken language. I was recently in Italy for 3 weeks and midway through, developed an excruciating pinched nerve in my back that increased over time. By the time we arrived in Florence, I could not leave my Hotel (Orto de Medici) due to the pain. The hotel (10/10) contacted this service and Dr Smorlesi arrived quickly at my hotel room. He asked pertinent questions and (without imaging) assessed cervical spine issues. He wrote appropriate prescriptions and gave me a shot of cortisone in my hip. This rescued me! I had been very anxious about flying back to Seattle in so much discomfort but was able to do so comfortably. Dr Smorlesi was professional, respectful and approachable. His fee was more than reasonable at €180. This experience will be remembered as much as seeing The David! read more

While on vacation my daughter came down with a sore throat. We did a walk-in to visit this Doctor Smorlesi. He was very responsive on the phone and allowed us to visit his office immediately. He conducted a Covid Test and exam of her tonsils, directed us to a local pharmacy and the charge was very reasonable ( 80 Euro for test and visit). He was terrific! read more

This service is outstanding! Everyone who is a tourist in Florence should know about it! My husband got sick with gastroenteritis and we desperately needed to see a physician for antibiotics. This service's information was given to me by a pharmacy at the train station and I am so thankful to have found them! They have in call medical services 24 hr and a walk in clinic right at the heart of the city by the Duomo. You have to call the general number if you are calling after hours and then another number mentioned in the phone recording for the doctor who is on call. As far as cost, it's $134 Euros for a home consult and $50 Euros for the consult at the walk-in clinic which is very reasonable for a self pay fee! They also give you an itemized receipt at the end of the consult so you can submit the claim to the insurance company in the USA for reimbursement. As far as the medical care itself, it was excellent! Dr. Anna Sara Longo was outstanding! She spoke perfect English, had great bedside manners and was very knowledgeable. I hope you are never in need of medical attention while in the beautiful city of Florence but, if you are, please call them! They truly were so convenient and outstanding in every possible way!
