I had encountered a con artist who had a reputation of cheating people and I now wasn't sure who to trust. It turned out they sold scooters and the entire process could not have been more wonderful. I was recovering from ill health, and they accommodated my circumstances very kindly. They brought a selection of scooters out to me, so I could try them and determine which suited my needs. Knowledgeable, forthright, kind, and generous are words I think exemplify how they run their company. They know a scooter means independence to me, and they worked to get one to me quickly. I truly felt it was important to them. I so appreciated the personal service, and I see this reflected in the warranties and service policies they offer as well. I now know that there are unsavoury characters in this field. It's why I think it's so important for people to know that Proactive is the direct opposite of that. It is run by people who truly care and want the best for you and will work with you to find the best solution. I am in LOVE with my Shoprider and am out and about exploring my neighbourhood, running errands and flying through leaf piles. Can't wait to travel with her. I asked just to clarify and the man who answered the phone said; oh yeah that's right. So I asked him if he had what I was looking for and he said no. Then I asked if he knew where I could find the supplies and he said; I can't give you our vendors/suppliers name; just Google it. Update: Six months later I get a response.... if I still need? I purchased what I needed from another business six months ago. I contacted the business through the very same yelp page that I reviewed. Maybe the contact information on your page was input incorrectly.

Here are my complaints (1) the staff appears to change constantly therefore whatever you have "solved" with the last group, goes right back into chaos with the new ones. (2) for the first few months they faxed for prescription refills to a number that was NOT my doctor. Then they faxed to a dr's fax that wasn't even at the right clinic. (3) They tell you your prescription has "been received". Or "come back in an hour" when it has NOT been received and has NOT been prepared. They have strange rules and regulations with regard to Alberta Health Care (when and what it will cover) and waiting periods (for a medication I have been on for almost 30 years). I discovered from my new (Calgary) pharmacy that neither philosophy (if I can call it that) was true. This pharmacy is inept in many ways.

We retained Coop's Services on March 4, 2025, to install a lift for my elderly mother who is…read morewheelchair bound. It's been a complete nightmare! We noted concerns to Coop/Corey, some of which included the following: Concrete was laid right on top of the grass, which would have caused issues for our property as well as the work. Concrete/pad was not levelled - elevated - causing steeper slope towards the street; all of which factors result in a significant safety hazard. Other concerns. We sought second opinions. These same concerns were repeated and echoed by our builder and other professionals who work in the concrete industry. When we brought these concerns to the attention of Coop/Corey, we were told to make our own arrangements to have the concrete poured as he can "only do a rough finish" and he "does not believe that we will be satisfied with that". I want to reiterate that the purpose of this work order was to ensure my elderly mother had a safe method of entrance and exit from home. We repeatedly expressed our concerns to Coop/Corey. Those concerns were dismissed and not attended to. On March 31, 2025, we elevated these concerns to Doug Turner - Supervisor. Doug Turner never actually answers his telephone. I attempted to call the establishment and speak to Doug Turner on multiple occasions. I left multiple voicemails. On April 7, 2025, Doug Turner informed us that Coop would be returning our deposit and ceasing all work. We relied on this representation to our detriment. None of our communications have been responded to. They left their debris and garbage and disappeared with our deposit. Essentially, Coop came, ruined our property, left their garbage, ghosted us, stole our money, and almost put in a lift/ramp that would have been a safety risk. We are currently going through our credit card company to get our deposit back, before taking further alternative/additional steps. To date, 3 months later, we still have not received our deposit because Coop is refusing to respond to the credit company and apparently the credit card company has to go through their process. Please avoid these scammers. They will take your money, do a poor job, put your family at risk, and then ignore to meet their obligations or follow through with their commitments. I can only imagine that they have done this to many other elderly who may not be in a position to question the poor workmanship or get 2nd opinions and who are probably using lifts/ramps that are not safe.

Two weeks (2 WEEKS!) later I picked up my parts for my wife's Serenity lift 2 weeks later. They charged us $100 for shipping. Shipping to where? It's a retail store. Sold and Serviced, but they have no parts. The Supervisor I talked to literally said to me, "do you want us to install the parts"? "No" She seems quite perturbed about that. You cannot save money by doing your own work. Boot between the ***s!
