I'm watching an advertisement right now and I'm gobsmacked that it's for Mediacom, my current provider. We moved down here to Southwest Georgia from Upstate New York 3 years ago, and it's the only provider in our area. We had better service in New York TEN YEARS AGO, better prices, and better response!! My TV buffers CONSTANTLY. It's enough to make you CRAZY!! It's not funny...we thought the service in NY was bad until we got here. We had no idea ‍ that you could sink so low!! If you have ANY other choice...RUN don't walk to the sign up!! I'm not sure that we've ever even gotten a live person when we called for technical support. They just reset something at there end and hung up on us without speaking. Not rude or anything. ‍ What was I saying about bad service again??? Ohhhh yeah, ‍ RUN!!! Please please PLEASE don't tell me to email because y'all are so concerned about my issues. I just clearly explained how the exact OPPOSITE has happened for three years. My daughter moved here in October 2019. Hooked up then. So 3+ years. That's a lot of no connections, and poor connections. A LOT!! No human interaction whatsoever. NONE. Just a click. Just saw the commercial again. It says to contact MY exec to find out about access to media on any screen any time. First: someone would need to answer the phone. That's problematic for you. Second: I'm absolutely TERRIFIED about the horrific price increase this would cause in our already overpriced overrated service. Your ads are absolutely untrue...at least in MY city!!! YOU hire the employees, and YOU are responsible for the way they behave. Absolutely pathetic work ethic. The guys who installed were top notch. It wasn't even a downhill slope after that, it was straight over a cliff!! No one will ever answer the phone. Ever. My daughter had no problem scheduling her appointment for installation. But once you're installed?? You're on your own!!! Hahaha still in my hospital bed, watching Mediacom commercials on my Mediacom connection, and this BUSINESS account is so bad that the connection keeps cutting out and you get 10-15 seconds of a static screen cutting into your show. No particular channel. Every time it happens I switch channels. See, I was thinking that your ads were just for the high paying business accounts. Mediacom service man came by over a week ago. Came by my house first where our service has been sketchy for awhile even though we pay a premium price for the high speed package. But he was mistaken and went next door to our immediate neighbor and ran new fiberoptic cable which he left lying on top of the ground in the grass. At the time I was about to cut my grass but had to wait so I didn't destroy the cable. Yes it's back and forth over the property line. Well a week later I couldn't wait so I cut the grass carefully missing the cable which is quickly disappearing in tall grass. What's the holdup? Is that how you plan to leave it? read more

I work from home and have traveled to various cities on various wifi systems, and this is by far the worst. The inconsistent connections are simply ridiculous for the amount of money they want for the service. It is simply trash. It seems to be known that the eero boxes are the lowest end devices you can have. They are useless as well. I can see by the other reviews that I am not alone. read more

Mediacom is the worst Internet I've ever been subjected to pay. It is insane the amount of times that the Internet goes out or I'm unable to use the Internet to play online games. The Internet crashed on Christmas crashes at least once a week.. when I called the customer service it's always somebody from out of the country with an Indian accent and does not comprehend what the problem is. The tech that comes out is always nice and tries to help but nothing will help this terrible service.. It is a tragedy that they hold a monopoly on this area. read more

mediacom always seems to send out incompetent or lazy people! how much training do they get and how long? it's not enough! be prepared if you choose this company. the technicians that are good are may be 1 in a dozen and they are really good with knowledge, work ethics and passion for their job and people. mediacom might? be the best rate, etc, but to get it installed properly the first time and timely, and complete, forget hoping for that. expect problems. once it's all installed, after many headaches,  etc, then their service is good. ***beware of the guys that install it not putting the lines on the utility pole high enough!!!! all over albany they are not putting it at the proper height to begin with, then trash companies, delivery trucks etc they tear it down, (not their fault) it's media com's fault!! and their technicians. ***find out from the city what the height should be, watch the technicians, the entire time, at the pole and under the house, and you will probably have to demand they crawl under or they want to tell you they have to drill holes in your bricks., that's bs. no do not let them do that, it's laziness, we demanded they go under and drill the holes in the floor or just use holes already there!!! some are lazy., but i do appreciate the few great ones!! they are a  wonderful breath of fresh air!! *mediacom, do better!!! train better! teach better, stop trying to save money at our expense! read more

The worst service I've ever had and it hasn't even been installed yet. The tech called at 10 I missed it but I called back a few minutes later 9 to be exact. and then continued to call and text and did not get an answer. I then called Mediacom a customer service. Sat on hold for 45 minutes just to be told "the tech knocked and left a notice at your door so we have to have someone come at a roll back time we don't have a specific time frame" this is after telling me someone would be here between 8:01am and 8:31am. This is BS. As soon a Verizon offers coverage in my area I will be switching service providers read more

Terrible service with even worse customer service. Their text messaging reps are rude. It takes them 4-6weeks to close out your account but still be charging your credit card. Terrible experience. Unfortunately i did not have much option where i lived. I don't recommend them. Service was poor, overall! read more

Katrell came out and hooked me up, he was awesome, did quick work, and was a really nice guy. Five stars for Katrell, zero stars for mediacom because jacking the price up to double after 2 years of service is predatory and shows that they hate their customers. read more

I'm a long time customer who went from full services to just internet only. We all pay too much money to have substandard services. No one appears able to actually fix the issues with my internet and keep it running. Forget talking to an actual agent they know no more than I do. Mediacom need to get people who can actually fix these issues and care. They will sent you text close to bill time and don't miss that. We should not have to wait 5 days out to regain some service. read more

They have some of the worst customer service I have ever seen. First, I pay monthly for internet speeds that I never get. Then I put in a service request to get that fixed and no one tells me about a charge and they just sneak it onto my next bill. Then they want to blame me for not knowing about it and saying my internet troubles and the fee is my fault. They're nothing but crooks. read more
