I'm so sad to report that the quality of this place has really gone down. When we went, the tables were dirty we weren't greeted. It takes a super long time for the food to come out. Hummus is always delicious and consistent, but the ground lamb is oily greedy And lacking flavor. The oil that they place table side is of such low quality and it also has a very strange taste to it. Sad to say different locations have better food if that makes sense. The location on Greenwich has more consistent entrées. But the tables are dirty and in need of wipe down in the back. My daughter's salad was filled with brown lettuce. No Kalamata olives poorly dressed it was dry. It actually just looked like a bowl of brown slimy romaine and she had to pick through it to get to the edible parts and the steak was so tough and gristly just awful. The half chicken continues to be their best menu item. And sometimes the potatoes are undercooked. . read more

Lina gave absolute stellar service when I brought my girlfriend in the for the first time tonight. Super helpful and took her time to explain the salads to my girl. Even had a bag ready for our extra chips when we went to leave. And it was all so DELICIOUS as always! Just a fun, fast, casual place with great food and healthy selections. I usually get a bowl, with the chicken, veggies and rice and it's the perfect size! First timer visit to this Meddys on Rock & Harry. I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the pricing being so reasonable. I went with a salad and soup combo. The salad was fresh and filled with amazing ingredients. The mushroom soup was delicious. To my delight I learned of happy hour being all day Saturday and Sunday to match a full bar. I couldn't help but indulge by trying one of each of their signature drinks. All in all a wonderful visit and I'll be returning soon. Highly recommend. read more

Specialties

At Meddys -- a sort of nickname for the Mediterranean -- the menu may be simple, but it's simply delicious, healthy food, prepared fresh daily and offered to customers at reasonable prices. We don't even have a microwave on our premises. "I didn't invent the wheel," says Alex. "I went with original recipes for food items I grew up eating." Meddys even roasts its meats on a traditional rotating spit for more authentic flavor. With our executive chef Mona Youssef, a longtime caterer who joined our kitchen in late 2015, we have added even more home-style Mediterranean dishes. Meddys completed construction on its second location in 2016 and will open its third location in the fall of 2018.

Meddys Beef Shawarma named sandwich of the year in 2014. Meddys voted a Wichita favorite Mediterranean restaurant in 2015 by Wichita Eagle readers. Meddys Hummus voted a Wichita favorite in 2015 by the Wichita Eagle readers Meddys Fattoush Salad voted the best in Wichita in 2015. Meddys is one of 50 Wichita Restaurants You Should Try, The Wichita Eagle's 2016 Dining with Denise guide. Meet the Business Owner: Alex H.

Alex Harb opened the first Meddys opened in 2014 with a Chipotle-esque, urban-fast-casual aesthetic, topping the menu with shawarma wraps. In October of 2016, he opened a second location and, based on feedback from customers, designed what he hopes will be the prototype for his chain. His goal is "500 Meddys across the country."

SHAWARMBAA was a delicious, Juicy lamb stuffed pita with lettuce, onion, peppers, and tomatoes dressed with tzatziki. The service was "fast food" style, order at the counter and when ready our meal was brought to our table ... 1/2 star off for that. The whole place was clean and calm, except they were trying to be a sports bar with lots of TVs on games, the other 1/2 star off for that. PS the staff were very pleasant and friendly.
