We were staying nearby at a hotel and chose Meddy's because it had such great online reviews. Our entire family enjoys eating Mediterranean food so we were excited to try out a new to us restaurant. Admittedly, I didn't read enough reviews to know you order at the counter and then sit down and they bring your food. It took us a few moments to determine what we'd order. The kids got Kids Bowls, both with lamb. One had rice and the other had the fries. My husband ordered the Big Bowl with lamb. I ordered the salmon. It was a warm evening, but windy. Our kids wanted to sit outside on the patio. The patio has quite a bit of seating. Only low tables were available which would normally be fine. But they seemed to get all the wind. We toughed it out but it did get a little chilly. The food was fresh and delicious. I was impressed with the amount of food for the money. It was healthy food too. The veggies were grilled perfectly. My salmon was moist and had great flavor. I was also impressed with the combination of the tomatoes and onions. The kids and my husband enjoyed their dishes too. The pita bread was soft and had good flavor. We debated coming back for the next meal too. Wish we had one where we live. read more

First of all, the gyros that we had were EXCELLENT! Fresh, tasty lamb, loads of veggies all cooked perfectly. SHAWARMBAA was a delicious, Juicy lamb stuffed pita with lettuce, onion, peppers, and tomatoes dressed with tzatziki. The service was "fast food" style, order at the counter and when ready our meal was brought to our table ... 1/2 star off for that. Meanwhile I was waiting for my fly, we decided to drop here for lunch, 5 mins outside of the airport. Fantastic! I was skeptical of this small city food, but surprisingly I got corrected. Meddy does a fantastic job with the mediterranean food. Love my chicken, juicy, full of flavour, the side of potatoes, beets and pickles delicious, crunchy and full or garlic that my mouth has to stink (LOL). Also, after you order and sit down, they give you a fresh made pita bread, with some olive oil and spices on the table. They have a patio, but it was hot, we sat inside. Funny part is after we finish our meal, they waitress offered to pack more water in cups to go since today it was really hot outside, I love how toughfull she was If I'm in the city again, I have to come here again. read more

This is the first time I visited the Meddy's near the airport. I have to say the food and service and value were excellent. I usually visit the Meddy's downtown, but I really had a great meal at this location. Meddy's is really one of the best most consistent quality restaurants in Wichita. I usually visit at least once when I'm in town for business. The falafal plate was excellent -- portions were huge! Now having said that, their newest location on Ridge Road is also has amazing food and amazing employees. What went wrong with the night is; I had to fight a million fruit flies just to eat my food. Holy smokes, this place is good! Staff was super cheerful and welcoming. The restaurant is clean, bright and open. And the food is so good, I got a hummus stacked bowl with lamb, and this is hands down the best cooked lamb I've ever had. Super tender, with a great sear/crust on the outside. I liked the food a lot and especially the sauces that were available. I was not a fan of how loud it was in there but maybe it was just the lunch time rush or an off day. I just couldn't hear anything the people next to me were saying or the server who offered to refill the drinks. The food was delicious that and the servings were massive! Let me start with this is the third Meddy's I have been to in the area. I personally think they have gone downwhill. I order a dish with tabouli and felt it was a lot of ground up green mixture and no tabouli and was also very dry. The service is order at the front and pay, asking for the tip upfront? The ambiance is nice, nice and clean indoors and had an outside patio with a tv but was covered in birdshit. We come to Wichita a few times a year and going to Meddy's is the highlight of our trip. Everything we've tried is sooo amazing. The lamb in the Meddys Main Plate is so tender and flavorful. And they give you lots of delicious roasted vegetables. And we always have leftovers for 1 or 2 more meals, so we get to enjoy it at home too. What a great find! I decided to stay in a hotel near the airport since I had an early morning flight out of town. I looked up good restaurants close to the area that was open a little bit on the later side and found this restaurant. A quick drive from the hotel and I found this easy to spot location. I love the parking lot with the string lights and was warmly welcomed. The easy to read and understand menu was filled with delicious looking items. Meddy's has came a long way with the quality of their food. I remember their first location on Harry and Rock and was not impressed back then. Now, I would have to highly recommend them based on their food, how tasty, and consistent they are no matter which location you visit. I have visited 3 of the locations in town and every single one of them served up the same type of quality as the other locations. My go to is the lamb wrap or a bowl, you can't go wrong with either. Anything on their menu should not disappoint IMO. The service is always amazing and very accommodating. The ambiance has a modern atmosphere vibe to it.
