They seemed professional and courteous, so I decided to use them for the remodel. I signed a contract April 6th to get the work started the following week, but since that day I have not heard back from them. I reached out to them multiple times through text, calls, and social media to get an update and they never responded. When I called them, they forwarded me to voicemail and told me they'd call right back- and of course, never did. We were hoping to get our pool redone and ready for Summer, but thanks to this company I have to start all over with the process which now sets me back 1-2 months. I usually don't write bad reviews, but I wanted to warn anybody who is thinking about doing business with this company to stay away.

This is not a company you should use Not working on improving your backyard. We contracted with them in in March 2022 to put a cement patio and a nice pool in. It was a very expensive process that we screamed and saved for because it was really important to us that it was done correct correctly. This pool and patio cost us almost 6 figures. It took them a bit to get the project going, not a surprise because a lot of people were building at this time so I understand that there was some delay. However, once they did start going it was clear that their team did not know what they were doing. The design that we agreed on was changed because the salesman we worked with had done the drawing wrong. Because of this, there was additional engineering required that ended up increasing the cost by $7000. The owner said this was discounted from what it would actually cost because he was sorry but it was not an expense we had counted on in our budget.By this point they had started digging so it wasn't like we could just cancel everything. From there, delays continued, communication was spotty at best, the sales guy was fired at some point so communication got even worse. We put in an automatic cover to protect our small children from falling in the pool and they dug the well wrong so they had to redo the concrete later in the process which means we have multiple colors of concrete all from them. When I pointed this out to the owner, he said that eventually it would be the same color. We are in 2026 and as you can see from the pictures there are three different colors of concrete that were poured by the same company during the project. We were not given a discount on the pool, they did some kind of upgrade to the pool equipment but honestly I don't know enough to say it was worth the hassle. As mentioned, we started this process in spring of 2022 and it was not completed until October of that year despite assurances that it would be done by August. It was an incredibly disheartening and frustrating experience that I assume could be avoided by going with another company.

He did. We signed up on the spot. From there Dave dug out the pool and drove the Bobcat unlike anything I had ever seen. A total masterclass. Throughout the process, owner Justin was always out overseeing everything while responding to texts and calls. The finished product with the rock wall, tile and wet edge mixed with glass and abalone shells made for a beautiful pool. On top of it, we are having them service the pool weekly. We wouldn't do that if we didn't like them.

Well, let's talk about the work they've done for me. It's been over six months since we started my pool. I've asked for a pool company and have them also redo my fence.. Let's talk abkit the pool. The pool was supposed to be done in February. If you seen the pictures it hasn't been touched since then. It's in the final stages and they won't finish it. It's been like that since the first week of February.. Now let's look at my equipment, my equipment was installed wrong. They're supposed to come back and fix it. They didn't fix. The gas line That is supposed to be attached to the heater is not attached. The heater improperly installed backwards. Now electrical box is supposed to be put out against the wall, but they have it propped out in the open so when it rains, there'll be electrical issues.. Oh yeah, and they also leave messes. Now let's talk about my fence. It took them almost 2 months to finish my fence and if you see in the photos there was no gate, instead of built a gate They took from my old gate and kind of made it look like a door look how bad it looks.. Now the trench on the side of my house, they built that trench in November 2025. It's been like that since, they've never refilled it with dirt they never fixed the concrete. They left it like that causing injuries to my dog. They also cut the sprinkler wiring. But never fixed it. The company says they won't fix my sprinkler system, it's not on gbr company company to fix. Listen, they don't have proper management with that company also. If you also hire them, you'll never see a foreman come out and check on the design and see how everything's working out. All they do is have subcontractors come out. And they have little idea what's going on because there is no communication with the company and the contractors. Listen please stay away from this company.

The issue is he wanted me to pay 1/2 the cost of the job the following morning. He had never mentioned this before & told me this at 8pm the night before. Btw California only requires you put down 10% or $1,000, whichever is less. The next morning I didn't feel ok with paying half the costs for only having the demo started. When I told him this his only response was "we'll figure it out", so I decided against the job being done. Fast forward a week & today the city left me a notice that somebody had reported me for not having a fence around my pool.....hmmm I wonder who that could've been? They can not control the rain, but they are making this process as painless as they can. Every crew member that has been here has been great, very nice and is willing to answer all my 50,000 questions. This company in my opinion has a high standard for customer service, which is lacking in society these days. Now on to the most important part, the price, can't be beat. I got 6 bids for the pool. They have made this very unpleasant time bearable with their attention. Thank you freedom pools Update: pool was completed in April! It is seamless! Not one issue. We could not be happier. I meant to update this sooner but simply forgot. What brings it to my attention was a form from the county assessor, 5 almost 6 months after completion. Anyway, I call Ms. Rita, she asked me to send it to her and she would take care of it. Not surprised, it is all dealt with. From start to 6 months after completion, they are still there and on it. Freedom Pools, Fresno: 2023 Mar to Sep (2.10)…read more Putting in a swimming pool is a huge project. It took us several years of discussion before we finally took this BIG step. Just like purchasing a house, we went through several different emotions; anxiety, confusion, excitement, fear, nervousness, and absolutely stressed-out. After going over the beginning to the end of this six-month long project, I decided to break the work done by the pool company's in-house crew and average the points for this review. Our 31' X 10' swimming pool took 6-months to complete. The entire six months were filled with stress and anxiety, and we nearly called off the built. Our pool is now completed - in time for the cold season. The break-down of my review is as follows: Freedom Pool owner(s): Owner John (1 of 5) Freedom Pool: Son Brandon (3.5 of 5) Planner/Diggers: Dave & Donny (4 of 5) Cement/Pour crew: Israel, Jose, Jose, Abraham, Mario, Marcus, Saul, Julio (.5 of 5) Cement Cracker/Re-pour: Gustavo and Rogelio (3.5 of 5) Electrical: Joshe & Lie (.5 of 5) The delay and unacceptable work not only caused us time and money, we had to put our life off-track, and reschedule friends and families visit. Our family, friends and neighbors who have been following the flow of this project said I am generous with this review.

They don't leave trash laying around like many of the pool sub contractors. My cover is amazing. I can easily walk on the cover when it's closed, which makes me very comfortable knowing if my daughter fell on it I don't have to worry. With a simple code I can open and closed the cover from a controller on my back patio. The investment was well worth it. I'll be able to swim sooner because the water will keep warm at night with the cover on, and I'll be able to enjoy the pool longer throughout the year. Additionally, because the cover blocks all sunlight, there is no algae growth before algae needs sunlight to grow!
