Buba LLC turned our disaster into practically a new home…read more When we discovered we had a major slab leak in our home that required all new plumbing to be installed, I cried when I saw all of the holes in the walls, the floors and ceilings. To make matters worse, my insurance company was moving so slowly. The minute I met Gary at Buba LLC, my stress levels began to settle. He started immediately and assured me they would bring everything back to the way it was before the leak--a tall order considering the state of the house. Despite continuing delays with insurance, LLC had mold remediation completed, holes expertly repaired, stucco patched, flooring repaired, wallpaper and paint all done swiftly and perfectly. They even added an access door where there previously was none to make access to plumbing and electrical easier in the future. Finally all was professionally cleaned so that not a spec of dust was left. I will only trust Buba LLC for future repairs and remodeling.

He spent a couple hours with explaining what we were about to go through. We had several contractors contact us but decided to Barry's company based on their expertise in restoring fire damaged properties. They could show us a long list of past customers who said H&H Builders did a great job. They worked closely with us, our insurance company & the public adjusters we contracted with. We had several meetings with our insurance company & our public adjuster & H&H was always there to make sure we received everything needed to complete our project the way we wanted it. Communication was constant & detailed. Once work started the sub contractors H&H works with were all professional & did excellent work. H&H's own personnel were great also. When something needed to be addressed quickly they were there. Mark, the construction supervisor, knows how things should be done & made sure everything was completed to his, & our satisfaction. My wife & I are more than pleased with the finished product. Our friends think our "new" house is fantastic. We highly recommend H&H Builders.

And after I disagreed, they sent a huge bill after lying about it and saying they wouldn't charge much for tarps and plywood, which didn't work and I didn't even need them since it was July and I don't need to board up a burned out garage with nothing to value in it. And then send you a $14k bill. It cost me over $8K to fix their mess ups. Then they sent me to collections for not paying their bill before I've even received any insurance money.

I came home to an unfinished ceiling repair, drywall dust and debris throughout the upstairs, and a bathroom that was clearly used during the job but not cleaned afterward. Whether they forgot to finish the work or weren't given proper instructions, I don't know, but the result was an incomplete job. I also watched dirty mop water being dumped into my front yard, and afterward I noticed scratches on my staircase railing that I had never seen before. A restoration company should leave a home cleaner and in better condition than they found it. That was not my experience. Based on the quality of the work, cleanup, and overall professionalism, I cannot recommend Disasterz Restoration.

They arrived within the hour, assessed the situation quickly, and immediately started the drying and cleanup process. What really stood out was how respectful they were of our home covering floors, moving furniture carefully, and cleaning up after themselves. They even followed up a few days later to make sure everything was still dry and there were no lingering issues. Thanks to shay and the entire team for turning a stressful situation into a manageable one. I hope I never need water damage restoration again, but if I do, I'll definitely be calling disasterz first!

Our experience with Desert Dry Restoration (Fernando Ventura) was extremely disappointing. After…read morethe Palisades fire, we hired Fernando to help with debris removal and restoration work on our property. Unfortunately, he was unable to complete the job because he did not have the proper licensing required to perform the work. We waited over four months for him to obtain his contractor's license, but he failed the test and never became properly qualified. We ultimately had to hire another licensed, reputable contractor to finish the job correctly. To make matters worse, after our new contractor completed the cleanup and restoration, Fernando illegally dumped debris from his roll-off back onto our cleared lot. When I confronted him, he admitted doing it and promised to reimburse the cost we incurred to have it removed -- yet three months later, we are still waiting for payment. Adding insult to injury, Fernando is using a set of photos of our home on his Google profile as an example of his "work" in the Palisades. This is completely misleading -- he did not complete the project and did not have the proper HAZWOPER certification to handle or dispose of debris. We trusted Desert Dry Restoration during a very difficult time and were met with unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and additional expense. I strongly recommend verifying licenses and credentials before hiring and would not recommend this company based on our experience.
