Tiramisu for dessert. Again, the best tiramisu that I've ever had.
Mike P.

I had just arrived in Milan from the United States. I was in town for a business trip. I was wandering around the area of the Duomo Cathedral and I was looking for a place to eat. As I walked by this restaurant, it seemed very inviting. The person at the front door immediately asked me if I would like to come in and eat. I decided to do so. The staff at this location was so great. They helped me with the menu and they were always very attentive. I had the homemade lasagna which was the best lasagna I have ever had. I intend to go back there again during this trip.

I was so surprised to see a such a low rating on this restaurant. It's really good and everything went perfectly. We like the appetizer the most. The quality of the steak was not bad just the seasoning was different from what I have in the states. Five stars for the grilled seasoned potatoes.

Tucked away in a quiet spot on a side street in the Brera District of Milan lies this hidden gem of…read morerestaurant. Hand-crafted delicacies from the Puglia region grace the menu, with specials daily. I was delighted to find this small but quaint delight while seeking a place to quell my mid-day hunger. I was immediately welcomed and settled into a table along the narrow street. The restaurant design was clean and crisp, with white wooden chairs brightened with light blue accents on the linens. The art and décor of the restaurant added visual interest while I waited for my food. I started with homemade maccheroncini with tomato sausages, basil and cacioriccota cheese, which set the bar for the rest of meal. I also tried the white fava bean puree, seasoned with chicory greens, which I enjoyed with some raw red salt water prawns. Fresh and flavorful. Right away, I knew I had picked the right place for lunch, because the first dishes were absolutely delicious! I wanted to try the raw selection, Crudi di Gallipoli, featuring tuna, swordfish, cuttlefish, red prawns, and scampi fresh from Gallipoli. Each piece was perfectly cut, colorful and beautifully presented. The whole dish was as much a sensory experience as it was a savory one. The chef recommended I try the braised meatballs in tomato sauce with homemade "Ricotta Schianta" cheese and I am glad I took her up on the suggestion. The meatballs were tender and juicy and full of flavor. Perfectly seasoned. The tomato sauce added a level of sweetness and mixed with the richness of the ricotta cheese really took the dish up another level. I was completely filled, and had felt as though I had eaten a gourmet fifteen-course meal, but after seeing a nearby table eating a fluffy, creamy cake, I had to indulge. The homemade pasticciotto was filled with a slightly sweet crème, and the perfect ending to a wonderful lunch. Excellent service, great staff, and wonderful food. The atmosphere is exactly what you want if you're seeking a quiet escape for a meal you'll never forget. I highly recommend!

It was raining and we were greeted and made to feel very welcome by the young owner who assisted us with selecting dishes for our lunch. The specialty, as the name implies, is food from the Puglia region of Italy...something new to us. The food was delicious and it is obvious that the owners and chef take great pride in what they are doing. The most delicate eggplant parmigiano was the best that I have ever had and a pasta dish with pasta unique to Puglia. Both were wonderful....simply prepared, but made with care and expertise. Bread, Primitivo wine, dessert and espresso topped off the meal. Their olive oil was so tasty that we bought 2 bottles to take with us. We highly recommend having a delicious lunch or dinner here.

Hopefully, I am reviewing the correct location in Brera in Milan Italy…read more I was here a few weeks ago. I was walking around Brera, not entirely sure what restaurant to pick. Too many restaurants that offer almost the same menu. Not all of them are listed on Yelp. So I had to be creative: it was hot in Milan, so I wanted to pick a resto with a/c. For instance, I enjoyed the food at nearby Casa Fiori Chiari, a few walking minutes away. August is a tricky month to visit Italy as lot of restaurants are closed for weeks during summer. Anyways, somehow, I was drawn to this place. I wanted to get a bisteca ala Florentina, seems they were know. For their steaks. The portion was too big just for me. Being it was my last night in Milan as I was heading to Cappadocia and Istanbul, I figured I would order what Milan was famous for: Osso Buco with a side of risotto Milanese. Wow! I am glad I picked this place because the flavor was very much on point! I enjoyed the risotto too. I'm glad I picked this place because they are known for their beef/steaks, it seems. The osso buco was fork tender and oozing with flavor! The serving was huge! I had to take my leftover to go, it was that good that I didn't want to waste my food. Service was prompt and server was friendly. Maybe it was an off night for the low reviews. But this is 5 stars in my book.

Overall very mediocre experience. This restaurant should not be considered an authentic Italian…read moreexperience - but rather a very expensive tourist trap with not so great food. The server was kind, but clearly clashed with other workers and had verbal arguments in front of customers. Additionally multiple tables around us were frustrated - being unable to order or close out their bill. The over all ambiance was quite enjoyable, however the experience was over saturated with bad food and anything but customer service.

What a great restaurant!!…read more We were looking for a place to eat before going to the opera at La Scala. The challenge is that most nice restaurants do not start serving until 7:00 PM and the opera starts at 8:00 PM. The few who specialize in opera dinners are pricey and we're booked out. This was a great find. It is a 10 min walk from La Scala and offered a fantastic diner, great service, and nice ambiance. There are really two parts to the restaurant, one offers street service and is located to the front, and the other is more formal and is down stairs. We were lucky enough to find a place downstairs. I would suggest asking for this. There are also two menus, one short menu, and a second full menu with starts at 7:00 PM (too late for the opera). The short menu was great. We charged and appetizer and two mains (one risotto and a roasted veal cutlet). Both were fantastic! The restaurant did a cocktail pairing (their creation) with dinner which we enjoyed as well. The service was excellent, maybe because we were so early. I would love to go back just for the full dinner on an occasion without the need to go early, in time for the opera. I loved this place and would highly recommend it.

Don't get me wrong my Veal Milanese was excellent but most other dishes were lackluster and so so. The laughable moment was the aforementioned son in law ordering a taco as an appetizer....this is Italy....shaking my head. I would not recommend this place as Milan has amazing restaurants and this aint one of them
