I hope you can read this message before you go into this so call "dealer". We bought a pick up truck from them that failed inspection 4 times. Each time they told us that they fixed the issues but when we went to the shop it was fully inspected and told us that nothing was fixed. We were also informed that in order to repair the truck it would cost over $3,000. They advise us to return the vehicle. Fortunately for us we know the laws and wrote a nice legal document to them. They replied a week later and gave us the money back. The people you are going to deal with. The son AJ talks a lot and barely lets you talk. He thinks he is intelligent but that's only what he thinks. Don't let him talk over you and try to make you believe his stupid comments. The father and owner deserves his own paragraph. He is a complete asshole. Very rude, raises his voice and was actually mad I didn't keep his piece of crap car that he sold us. Unfortunately for him he had no other option but to return the cash to us because in court he had no chance and we would be entitled up to triple the amount owed. Final thought is to stay away from this dealer. They probably buy cheap crap auction vehicles, don't fix them and then sell them to you. Then they will tell you they gave you a good price and sold it too cheap to you like if that had anything to do with anything. If you do get screwed by them which is highly likely if you purchase anything from them then you should follow the legal process. I never write review but this experience was so terrible I am not done. I will follow up with the better business bureau and will also write as many other reviews as I possibly can. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!!The buying experience was mediocre at best. I needed something fast due to an issue with my wife's car. Unfortunately, the 2007 Nissan quest that was sold to me 6 months ago has already been the victim of frame rot in the passenger side front end. Car is completely not driveable. And as it turns out was extremely dangerous unknown to us at the time of the sale. They either dont care about customer safety or loyalty or are completely incompetent when it comes to inspecting the vehicles they sell. How does a dealer sell something that clearly should not have been allowed on the road. The van was absolute junk and we had no idea before being trapped in an obviously bad deal. I Just called there to see if there was any way they could help me thinking that a reputable dealer would stand behind their cars and help their customers That is not this dealer!!!! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I bought a 2011 Toyota Camry from here in late November 2021. This was for my 18 year old son, his first car. My son got into a minor accident in January. The damage was fixable until the auto body mechanic put it up on the lift. The underneath was completely rotted!! He said he'd never seen anything like it in his 50 years of doing auto body repair. There were bolts and screws that were either crumbling or completely missing. He told me it appeared to have been in a flood and sat in ocean water for a time. There was THAT MUCH RUST!! When I found out the car was not even fixable because it was unsafe to be on the road I called Means auto and the owner proceeded to tell me that it's because we live in New England and it's normal rust. WHAT? There is nothing normal about this car! The autobody guy told me that the suspension was barely holding on. Means Auto knew it was for my 18-year-old son to drive and it wasn't even a safe car to be on the road. I am so pissed! He also sent us to a specific inspection place in Holbrook for a prepaid inspection sticker. I will do a review on him next because he never should've passed that cars' inspection. Anyway the owner of Means auto ended up hanging up on me when I was trying to explain to him what was found with the car. I will be consulting the AG office and an attorney. read more

I bought a van last month and requested 1k off the price. They said they would sell it for that price in exchange for his mechanic not inspecting it (I now know that their mechanic would have done the same inspection mine did for $120) I should have seen that red flag, but I was eager for an AWD van and they said they were unaware of anything major needing repairs (this is a ploy to feign ignorance and liability.. they made sure to write AS IS on the bill of sale) The van sounded good and drove pretty well. Within 2 weeks a belt was squealing, and the steering was loose. The van is now in the shop for almost 5k of repairs, including a very dangerous front wheel hub, cracked stabilizer bar, and idler arms. Not to mention the rust I couldn't see... Could have killed me and my daughter and others on the road. I was so hesitant and yet I decided to trust you... Do better guys, c'mon. read more

I bought my first car from Means Auto. I looked around several different used dealerships in the area and decided to go here. I have zero complaints- the salesman, AJ, was very helpful and knowledgeable. I don't really know what went wrong with these other reviewers, because my experience couldn't have been any better! There was a GM parts recall on the car I purchased (I knew before buying) and that has been the only "problem" I have had since buying the car. I recommend Means Auto to everyone. My mom also bought a truck from here and loves it! No problems with her truck either, besides needing it's AC recharged. If you are looking for a quality used car, great customer service, and really reasonable prices, I would highly recommend Means Auto. read more

Google Source One and you will see all the citations from the state about unfair business practices. So now I need to pay half what I paid for the car to get it fixed or sell it for a fraction of the price in which I bought it for. Customer service is also nonexistent. I wish I had checked their reviews beforehand. When I told them about the problem they shrugged it of and said (and I quote here) "well, you did get a good deal on the car..." so because I got a good deal you think it's justifiable to sell cars in horrific conditions? Got my Jeep a year and a half ago. When we got it they told us it had an exhaust leak. Since then we have had to replace so many things not to mentioned it didn't even come with an AC compressor in it. We put in a new AC among other things that total well over 5 grand so far. I wish I did more research on this place. The only reason we chose them is because my boss got her car through them AND if you have shit credit they'll approve you anyways. I would never EVER buy another car from these people. It's a lemon just like everyone else's and I don't think we have any options since it's been so long since we got this Jeep. Buyers beware. I bought a vehicle from means auto about a month and a half ago. Everything was all good when it came down to them taking my money for the vehicle. But when it came down to checking the vehicle or making repairs to the vehicle it was a whole different story. They were telling me that pretty much I was paranoid over the noises that I heard from the vehicle. Telling me that it's a older vehicle so it's supposed to make noises. I don't know what kind of baloney they were trying to feed me but if a car is making a noise and is still under warranty you should check it out and if it needs to be fixed, fix it. So finally they told me to bring the vehicle in and the owner is telling me it's my alternator which it wasn't. They finally got a mechanic over there so the owner called the mechanic over to listen to the noise. After the mechanic listen to the noise and than told the owner lets pull it into the bay and check it out, which it was a problem with the vehicle. So they ordered the part and fixed it no more noise. I was happy for the main part that I had to go through all of that for them to finally fix my vehicle. Now a couple days later I hear another noise and I call them up so they could check it out. AJ was the one I spoke to and they still telling me that I'm paranoid and still telling me it's an older vehicle it's supposed to make noises. I'm hearing the owner in the background saying he's not going to be fixing anything else on my vehicle. I was extremely mad when I heard that considering my vehicle is still under warranty. So after a back-and-forth on the phone they finally told me to bring the vehicle in. But they specify told me that they weren't going to fix anything else on my vehicle and to check my warrantee and there is also a $100 deductible that they should've charged me the first time they fixed the vehicle. So I bring the vehicle in for the second time and there's nobody is there except for the mechanic. So I asked the mechanic to listen to the noise. It was like he didn't even care to listen but gave me a bull crap answer to why my vehicle was making that noise. So I called my mechanic made an appointment with him, even though my car was still under warranty with means auto. So I took my vehicle in with my mechanic they found the problem which took them no more than 10 minutes to diagnose and to fix. So I go back to means auto to let them know that it was a problem and I already had it fixed. The owner of means auto is giving me attitude telling me he's not going to fix anything more on my vehicle, that I'm going to have to pay for it and to check my warrantee, he's going on and on and on and on and on. I told him the vehicle is already fixed no thanks to you. Pretty much what I'm trying to say is Buyer Beware I wish I would had read the reviews before purchasing the vehicle from them.
