My fiancé and I moved here from Cincinnati, Ohio. We were very scared to sign a lease electronically without seeing the apartments first. Our worries quickly faded when we pulled into the apartments for the first time. What a beautiful complex! Flowers, plants and palm trees surround the entire complex. Frank Remeneski, Director at The Meadows is such a kind, wonderful man that truly cares about his tenants. Francisco is always so fast to answer any maintenance issues and shows up to fix the problem within 24 hours! The pool wasn't open due to COVID the year we lived here but it just opened and it's beautiful & shiny clean! You won't regret making your next home at The Meadows! Thanks so much! We called to get information about these apartments today and this was one of the very few places that actually answered their phone. Mariah was very thourough with the information provided, and although there is not availability that we are looking for, it left the best impression. Good service is hard to come by now a days and it is much appreciated. read more

It's always loud here at the meadows apartments. Frank ( the manager) is super stressful and makes everything hard on you . He is not easy to work with and he has a power trip. He's also super controlling, lite weight harassing. Maintenance man does things half ass so he constantly has to be in your house. They do an annual inspection every year meaning they come in and check your house and see what you're up to. Laundry room machine never works. Meaning you can't ever do your Landry when needed . Not to mention they don't always work and they smell. If you do end up moving in and checking out the apartment move the oven and make sure they did the floor right.... You'll probably find about six layers of flooring. And maybe even a few roaches.... Also check everything to make sure in works properly before moving in. Take videos, photos before and after. Cars have been broken into. Homeless people are constantly on the property, making this place feel super unsafe , especially at night. security doesn't know how to do their job , And just tells you to call police. Lights on property are constantly out making it even harder to see and making it feel more unsafe. to top it all off the pool isn't heated and the hot tub always smells like bleach. It isn't even Hot half the time. It's Luke warm. Welcome to the meadows :) read more

I spent a day visiting my sister who lives here, and the lights went out without any messaging from management after the fact. My sister was doing laundry when the lights went out and the clothes were left in the dark. When the lights came back on, she called and asked when the machines would be back online to run the washer again which stopped half way through the cycle. The person at the leasing office, a man, condescendingly asked my sister, "how am I supposed to know?" My sister politely responded, "we were just asking because of our laundry which is still wet and stuck in the laundry room." The man was rude in tone and choice of words. I've never heard management speak to paying tenants in such a way. I hope the complex reviews basic kindness and respect with their workers. read more

I find it funny how people love this place. LOOK ELSEWHERE. Unit wasn't cleaned upon arrival, WE HAD TO CLEAN IT OURSELVES. Take pictures the day you move in! I guarantee you will lose most of your deposit for silly claims. Management Frank is nice & prompt to respond, but when it comes to concerns about your security deposit, he ghosts you. Completely. Called multiple times and sent multiple emails the week we moved out, & no response. Paid rent early every month for a year, had minimal complaints, however when it came to moving out....ONLY GOT 1/4 OF OUR DEPOSIT BACK when we moved out, even though we left the place much cleaner than it was the day we moved in. Gym and pool were part of the rent, even though both were inaccessible due to the pandemic the whole year we lived there. At the end of the day, they only care about the money coming in & find every reason to keep your $$ once your lease is up. DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

I lived here for a year the apartment was super nice and comfortable. Frank on the other hand was not the greatest, super rude and obnoxious. I took my brother's swimming and he got in my 11 year old brothers face and yelled at him because he jumped in the pool with a shirt on, like let me get in your daughters face like that frank, he should of came and talked to an adult/lease holder, also I had a guest that didn't have tags but had a dmv letter hanging on his window and frank came POUNDING on my door about it. I had a walk and requested a new sliding door and I didn't get the voicemail so when I was at the pool frank came out and said "you ever gonna call back about your sliding door I mean your the one that requested it" and rolled his eyes at the same time. Also you don't ever get to feel comfortable frank will put a letter on EVEYONES door for one persons mistake and it's very common you don't get to live in peace. I would not recommend living here you never feel comfortable. Also you don't ever get to swim in peace if frank here's anyone at the pool he waits 10-20 mins and comes out and uses the bathroom and looks at what your doing, EVERYSINGLE time anyone swims, and it's multiple times within a few hours, you can not do anything in peace at this place. read more

DO NOT RENT HERE!!! These people rented me an apartment and then for three weeks in the middle of August my air conditioner was broken and leaking and soaking my hallway carpet and they kept telling me it was fixed. Then they finally fixed it after figuring out there was a broken water pipe in my ceiling. Then I got locked out of my garage because the door handle to my garage was broken which made me late for work since I couldn't access my vehicle to leave. In the year I lived there the door handle was broken four different times and the maintenance staff never fixed anything on time. Although my apartment was very nice, with new with granite countertops and new appliances, the gym was too small and there wasn't an elevator. I had to walk up six flights of stairs with groceries to get to my apartment. For "luxury" apartments they should have installed an elevator and intercom system. I was tired of paying over $1,700 per month when I can rent a condo three times as large up the street for very little more and not have to deal with horrible planning of this complex. On top of these experiences, after I moved out, the apartment sent me a cleaning bill. I offered to pay it if they could give me an accounting of how my deposit was used. After four contacts, they failed to respond and just yesterday they sent me an email saying they are sending me to collections. I have filed a complaint with the BBB against them and will likely take legal action if they ding my credit for this. It's been seven months and they have yet to produce an invoice or a copy of how my deposit was applied. The rental company running the Meadows is incompetent and you'd be better off renting ANYWHERE else! read more

I'm giving this 5 star rating for the apartment manager Frank at The Meadows. I have never had such a genuine hard working people pleaser. He is all about making things right or better. Living here has been very pleasant thanks to him. He truly is reliable and focused on each individual that rents here. Frank you're the best I couldn't ask for a better complex manager! You make it comfortable and easy to live here thank you!!! read more

I loved living here! Great size apartment for the price. I liked the big bedroom with double closets, including a large mirrored one. I rarely heard my neighbors through the walls. When I had a maintenance request, someone came the day of within a couple hours. If I didn't move for a job in a different area, I would have happily stayed longer! I also got my security deposit back in a timely manner. read more

October 9th 2017 was a day many of us in Sonoma County will never forget. It was a day that changed our lives forever. Residing in Coffey Park since our home was first built back in 1987, we lost everything like so many others. We stayed with family for 2 weeks but that seemed to get uncomfortable fairly quickly; especially since there were (5) of us in a (3) bedroom home with already (4) people. It just didn't set well with us to burden anyone else. After a couple of weeks, we were notified that a (2) bedroom apartment had become available at "The Meadows" (2355 Meadow Way, Santa Rosa, Ca 95404). My wife and I made an appointment at met with the Community Director, Denise Myers. Ms. Myers gave us a tour of the available unit was well above our expectations. We accepted it until our insurance company was able to find us a similar home to the one we lost in Coffey Park. Although, we resided at the Meadows well over (6) months with the current housing crisis in Sonoma County. In those (6) months, I would have to say the unit we stayed in didn't cause us any problems or issues for us. The community residents were fairly friendly and it seemed most watched out for one another. The Target shopping center is straight across from the Meadows for easy shopping making it a prime location. The spa and pool was gated and kept in great working and clean fashion. The parking was never a problem for us with the (2) spaces issued to us. The onsite laundry facility made my job so much easier each week with a good selection of washers and dryers to choose from that were actually available. Although, our move-out (6) months later was especially hard and did cause some emotional stirs for us, since we got so attached to some of the residents and especially Ms. Myers who we will never forget for giving us a place to stay when we most needed it. Thank You for everything. I would highly recommend giving the Meadows the opportunity if you're looking for a place to stay. I have already recommended them to friends and family. It's funny how an apartment seeker gets to be at the mercy of the staff, specifically The Meadows Apartments in Santa Rosa. Denise was not just unprofessional, late at appointments and never so efficient in returning calls. While sitting at the office she gets all wired up on a phone call about a sprinkler not being maintained! My holding deposit sat at the office for a good 9 days without notification if our application was considered or not. Denise assures us that she will get back to us when the Screening Department contacts her about my application. Until the Screening Department calls and tells me it is up to the Management to notify us of the approval or rejection. Conflicting information. I am sure there are much better apartments in Santa Rosa. What ticks me off is Denise's unbecoming attitude!! So a big round of disappointment for the management of this apartment complex! read more

Clean and good staff but very noisy. Truck traffic, construction and increasing number of loud cars with no consideration for other renters.

DO NOT MOVE IN. This place is joke, the landlord is super nice when you move in but after that, boy oh boy! She does nothing she says she will do. Never follows up if you have a problem with the apartment, she is never in her office. The parking spots are super small. People never clean up their dog poop. Its Disgusting!Neighbors are so loud and play music way past 10pm. If you call the security number they end up showing up an hour or so after you call. I couldn't wait to move out. Do yourself a favor and don't rent at this over priced place. Save you some headaches. read more

We will miss this place we called home for the last 3 years. The complex is well maintained. Denise is very busy with lots going on but she handles her duties well and is attentive. Mariah has also been very friendly. It was a tough decision but relocating is necessary. I would definitely come back. read more

If I could give zero stars I would as this is what this place deserves. The staff managing this property is extremely unprofessional. I was in communication with the manager regarding availability of their units. In short, I was in the process of getting my paperwork over to them to apply for their last unit available. I called the manager at mid day of 6/17/2015 to express my interest in the unit and to reassure her that I am getting my paper work in. I am not exaggerating at that within hours of speaking with the manager I received an email from her stating that the unit was now gone and rented to another party. Through out my conversations with the manager I was lead to believe that I was the first in line, as I was the first to call after a recent availability; according to the manager. I was also made to believe that due to the nature of me being located 4 hours away, there was an understanding that could not get all my paperwork in immediately. If this is an indication of how this staff conducts business, please do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I am currently in the process of relocating to the area for employment and the manager did not help in making an already stressful situation any better. Please avoid this misleading and unprofessional staff! read more

I truly have no idea what these other people are talking about. I lived at the meadows for two years. It's a wonderful community. Close to everything !!! Easy access to the highway. A few blocks from downtown! Easy access to Petaluma hill road. If you talk to the landlord she gets everything done in a timely manor. I truly had no complaints living there. If I ever move back to Santa Rosa I will be looking there again !!! read more

Great place to live near everything you need in Santa Rosa. Walking distance from Target, Costco, Best Buy and many more. Quick Uber or cab ride to downtown. Denise in the front office is always a pleasure and staff fixes problems quickly. Plenty of laundry machines, clean pool and jacuzzi, and soda machines are a plus. Been here 3.5 years and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place near downtown. read more

The person that wrote the other review was writing it for the The Meadows at Fountaingrove not The Meadows by Target! Lived there for a year; neighbors are noisy, but I lived with it because it is, after all, an apartment. Beware of management and their lies. They will say one thing and do another; you must be nagging constantly to get anything done, even if you have been an exceptional tenant. Beware of your deposit refund. They will charge you for things you never did ("touch up paint for $94) It's ridiculous! I didn't even touch the walls with my hands. Take pictures and don't allow Eve to just give you the apartment without you noting the actual condition in which the apartment is. If Chris promisses to fix things in the apartment, call him daily to remind him because he will follow up only on half the things that need to be fixed. He is a nice guy, but does not complete the job. When you move out, begin calling to have them pay you. It took 3 months for them to send me my check! I wish I could recommend it, but I am afraid I would be lying if I did. Consider other apartments in the area that are cheaper and will refund all your money (i.e. some that are on Piner street, for instance). Good luck! Don't make The Meadows money. read more

I've seen a lot of changes over the last 25 years. There are 3 tenants that have been living at the Meadows for over 20 years. I've been here the longest - 25 years. I love my upstairs apartment and this is my home-sweet-home! read more

I lived there for one year. payed my rent on time every month, never had a complaint on me, always kept the apartment clean. i move out last week, and my $500 deposit im supposed to get back, they want to charge me for cleaning (which i cleaned for 6 hours once i moved everything out and is 100% cleaner then when i first got the place!!!!!!), paint, toilet seat, cleaning of blinds, replace drip pans, all of that they want to charge me for. and by the way toilet seat and oven drip pans were OLD when i got the place. and the paint is complete crap! looks like a kid painted, the cut in is all over the ceiling and base board. all of this is NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR and should be covered!! my aunt is a landlord and knows the laws and what they are doing is completely ILLEGAL and we called the Fair Housing and they also said what they are doing is illegal. so i show up today with my aunt to discuss this and they give me the amount im supposed to get back and the total is $325! nearly $200 they took and by the time we left, with the lady Natasha, giving us attitude and not even talking to my aunt when im sitting right there giving permission for her to talk to her and saying she cant do that which is complete BULL, i got it up to $375. bottom line SECURITY DEPOSIT here should be called CLEANING FEE!! i will guarantee they will not touch that apartment, they will rent it out how it is, maybe shampoo the carpets and that is all. i got in there and had to clean because it wasn't when i moved in. the place is completely crooked! OH and before i forget a few months before our lease was up we got a renewal saying that if we sign a 6 month $1,200 a month, sign a 1 year for 1,150 or do month to month for 1,200..... we payed 995 for a ONE BEDROOM!!!!!!! a two bedroom was $1,250 so IF i stayed why would i even stay in a one bedroom!? i pay cheaper garbage and utilities living in a 3 bedroom HOUSE now, then when i lived in this one bedroom apartment!!!!! and the security they have there at night are completely rude when you call about anything!!!!!! so if u want to live in a terrible place and crapy part of town then this your place. but if your smart, don't choose this place, you will regret it! read more
