My husband, mother, and I attended a visitation service at the facility today. We were beyond impressed with how attentive the staff was, without getting in the way, and the great time and care they took in preparing the room for the service. We were, very impressed and would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a place to make arrangements for their loved one. read more

I see that others have enjoyed the same crap from them... this place is run down and they don't care... they want to sell sell sell and forget about the people that entrusted their loved ones. My parents chose this facility on Washington Boulevard in Elkridge, Maryland many years ago because it was beautiful and so well maintained. My Mom wanted her grave site next to the beautiful statue. I have had many conversations with the staff concerning the statue coming apart. The face stone are missing, others hanging loose and been told this would be taken care of. Well its been over three years and NO ONE has taken the time to repair the statue base. Before you buy in here walk it, look at the fences broken down. Look at the statues and see the deplorable condition... and don't forget the promises of a beautiful facility will fade once you have paid. I could not post the photos because this system won't allow them but I have sent them twice before to be ignored. I am sure there are other facilities that keep their promises but NOT this one. When you lose someone you love and lay them rest, you would like to think their grave will be taken care of and treated with respect. Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge, Maryland uses the word "DIGNITY" on their business cards. After leaving my Mother's plaque buried for months, getting ruined and not being willing to fix it, I don't think they are living up to the word "Dignity" (the quality or state of being worthy, honored, or esteemed). All the money people pay for funerals and Meadowridge can't take better care of our loved ones' resting place. I visited my parents' gravesite last year around the last of April/1st of May to put flowers in the vase for Mother's Day (2022). I let the girl at the desk know that my Mom's marker had sunk in the ground and was buried in sand/mud. I couldn't even clean the marker off. I was told that they would dig it out and level it with the ground, NEVER HAPPENED and now her marker is messed up. When I returned in early December to put flowers on my parents grave for Christmas IT WAS STILL BURIED, had been buried in sand/mud for months. I immediately ran into the office crying/very upset, I couldn't even clean it off and put flowers out for Christmas. The end of the grave marker with Mother's plaque on it was at least 6 inches (if not more) in the ground. A person (who's name I won't mention) was very helpful in December and had a couple of men come right up and lift the marker out of the mud. I was at the graveyard when two men dug it up and it only took them a few minutes (should've been done months before). Upon lifting the marker out of the mud you could see where being buried for months had removed a lot of the gold plating on the plaque. After seeing the damage to the plaque and pointing it out to the individual who had called the men to dig the maker out of the mud/sand, she agreed with me at the time and said she would see what she could do about getting it fixed. My Dad's lettering and Bible are in a lot better condition, but then again his end of the marker wasn't under the ground for months. Got a call from the same individual that had agreed the plaque was damaged saying that she had taken her manager out to view the plaque and that they had decided not to repair it. It's all about more money for them! They have informed me that "I can pay to have it repaired!!!!" I had done what I had to do when I noticed it was buried I asked them to dig it up, they didn't dig it up and as a result the marker is damaged - NOW THEY WON'T ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITY AND FIX IT, THEY WANT MORE MONEY FROM ME! This place will totally take advantage of a grieving family! They really should take the word "Dignity" off their business cards, because they definitely don't live up to it! read more

The customer service here is atrocious. Ordered a monument from them and every few months I have to chase them down to see where we are in the process. Emails go unreturned. I screech and someone different assures me it is on the right road now. Then... nothing. I've even spoken to Dignity Management, who just forwards it right back to these people. Three months ago I was told "30 days." Nothing. I will have to start making calls yet again. For the sake of your sanity, go elsewhere. read more

My father was buried with dignity and although the funeral was brief we were extremely satisfied with the services provided by Carl L. Kaufman funeral home. We opted for the immediate burial package because we decided not to have a viewing or service due to Covid. Bill Carr was excellent in providing us the service and he even printed out memorial bookmarks (no charge) even though we did not request them. They provided extras (free of charge) like a tent and chairs at the graveside and I noticed that my father was dressed and prepared (even a little makeup so he did not appear grey) with grace. Since funerals can be very expensive I really appreciated the extras they provided that I did not even think of. It was a really sad day for my family but Bill and Kim provided arrangements that made this day easier. I would highly recommend them as they provided a service that went above and beyond my expectations. read more

Mr. Bill Carr helped us arrange my father's funeral recently and we could not have been more pleased with the arrangements and care we received. We live out of state and were told by the funeral home at the cemetary (not affliated with Meadowridge) we would incur another $3,400 charge because my father would be arriving the day before the funeral. The NC funeral home was going to drive him to Meadowridge and this was simply a temporary place until the next day when he would be buried. Mr Carr informed us that if we arranged it for same day arrival, no additional charges. Funerals are expensive and to save us the additional cost was a gift. The entire burial was marked with touches of true caring. A table that marked my dad's military service and memories was beautiful as well as bottled water since it was so hot. I went there yesterday (Mother's Day) to visit my grandmother's grave site but I needed help locating it. They had all of their employees posted at the entrances handing our survey forms and they told me they were not doing location assistance that day. I find it strange that they suspended all location assistance on Mother's Day when there likely some visitors who needed help. Poor customer service in my opinion. read more

He has helped our family through 3 burials this year and has gone out of his way to assist us. He is prompt and professional in our meetings together. Well, I'm not very impressed with the service I've gotten here. The front desk lady was the most helpful and I appreciated that. As far as some of the other people I've dealt with I was not very happy with the customer service. I've had to call several times concerning my father's headstone as well as my grandparents vase. I had to actually go up there because no one called me back concerning my issue. I had someone call me concerning the "ticket" asking the names it was concerning....but why wasn't it on the ticket when I called and gave the name...not once, not twice, but the third time? SO to get my point across I went to meadow ridge and they promise it would be taken care of before Monday and it was the Friday before. But I'm not at all happy with the customer service here. read more

Please do not entrust your loved ones to this cemetery. Attached is a photo of our dear relative nearly FOUR months after internment. No sod has been placed; there are sink hole in the ground, weeds are growing and the marker has not be replaced. We have complained at the office on several occasions; management was always too busy to speak with us and has never contacted us. We have finally spoken with the groundskeeper and hopefully he will address this issue. This plot and marker was paid for way in advance. Seems as though once they have your money you are not longer needed.A real shame. read more

My experience here at Meadowridge Memorial with Bill, Liz and Mark has been fantastic. They really are helpful and went above and beyond my expectations. We had funeral services here and bought a site without feeling pressured or rushed. Thankful to them for making a really sad time for us as comfortable as possible. read more

If I could give this place a zero I would. Most disrespectful, unprofessional people I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The woman, whose name I did not get, was texting just steps from the gravesite while the pastor was speaking. No one appeared to know what they were doing. Hi, My wife was buried at the Meadowridge Cemetery (Elkridge MD) on 9/10/2016. I paid fully for a memorial plaque and vase in October of the same year. The plaque was not installed until July of 2017, and it is missing the vase. I cannot get their attention to install the vase that they owe us. They talk a good talk when selling the services, but are hard to deal with once they collect their fees. read more

My family has been buried in this cemetery since 1960. The care and customer service has went from caring, friendly and always helpful to a catch us if you can attitude - and they wonder why so many people are selling their lots and moving to more caring cemeteries. Every time I get 1 customer service person that is willing to listen to my complaints or concerns - the next time they no long work there. Don't know about anyone else but my husband has been in the same job with the same company for 37 years. My father worked in the funeral business and he stayed with the same company until his death. If we did not already own enough plots there -and if I could sell them I would go somewhere else for sure. read more
