Interesting people are buried here. Tycoons. The inventor of the Ouija board. John Wilkes Booth. Like I said - interesting people. We spent about 45 minutes wandering the cemetery, looking at the graves and learning about people. It's not open-access - you'll ring a bell and sign in. Definitely wise to protect such a beautiful final resting place.

John Wilkes Booth is buried in the Green Mount Cemetery but that is not who lured us in. It was the presence of Elijah Jefferson Bond that called out our names. Bond is the patentee and namer of the Ouija Board. Yes, ladies and gentleman, it's Baltimore that officially brought us the Ouija board, the telephone if you will for those who have passed. Spooky stuff, I know. I was lucky our friends drive a Fiat. The four of us squeezed in after a burly meal at Papermoon Diner and went straight to the cemetery. My friend popped into the booth and grabbed a map for us. It's a pretty large and beautiful cemetery. It was easy once we knew where we were going to find the grave. The tombstone is shaped like a large Ouija board. Pretty hard to miss. It becomes a double pic, one from the front and one from the back. The cemetery closes early, don't miss your opportunity for a spooky good time! We tried getting a couple more maps and they were a dollar each. Highly recommend if you too are into the macabre.

The makeup was totally wrong the makeup was two tone the color on her chin was different from the make up on different parts of her face. The wings was old and not fresh look its totally bad when someone has a love one that has pass the family wants to have there love one look has close has they remembered. Our love one didn't look NOTHING LIKE HER SELF this is far from me just being in my feeling it just wasn't professional. Ill never recommend this service

My coworker had to calm my sister down by telling her it's just a shell and our grandmother is in heaven. My grandmother's nose was made small, her face and neck spread wide, false eyelashes on, and very heavy dark foundation caked on her face not matching her neck and hands. My grandmother never liked make up or false eyelashes and they should have asked my aunt if it was okay to put that on my grandmothers face or try to go for a more natural look and left her facial bone structure alone. The funeral home did such a horrible job on my grandmother's face that our family members and friends asked my aunt, uncles, and I, what happened to her face because it don't look like her. I told them it was the funeral home.

After protesting and threatening to take action, there was suddenly a "change" which allowed for a significant price reduction. It's a shame that they choose to add to your grief instead of helping you through it. I pray I never need to use another Funeral Home, but it will Definitely not be Vaughn Greene

LIVE STREAMING WEBCAST (AUDIO QUALITY)…read more Very disappointed in the live streaming service that was held for a long time family friend of ours. The audio was horrible and we were unable to catch most of the words of the service. We had to call in constantly during the service to ask them to fix it. In the end I had to message someone attending the service to go speak to the funeral home about correcting the issue. We caught only the introductory song and the last bit of the ending message. There was a person named Paula whom always seemed irritated and was very unpleasant to speak to. HOURS OF OPERATION They are also advertised to be open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. We used a well reputable florist company to deliver flowers a day before the service. The florist told us that they were unable to deliver due to the funeral home being closed. I was in shock and worry took over. Ultimately they were able to deliver it but it was THE DAY/MORNING OF THE SERVICE. It was delivered by 9am to be exact, which was 1 hour prior to the service beginning. LIVE STREAMING WEBCAST (VISUAL & TECHNICAL ISSUES) Be mindful about how this funeral home tells you that the loved ones of the deceased will be able to record videos to play during the service. They seem to want you to provide your own equipment and supplies for it to run smoothly (flash drive and laptop). Pay close attention to this here, if this is what you are planning to have so that the experience is not ruined. The pre-recordings should be put unto a flash drive (so they say). We were watching the service from another state and were robbed of the opportunity to see and hear our heartfelt letters that we wrote to our dear friend and the family. The live streaming video cut out for 30 minutes while they were being played (not sure if the videos were even really played at this point until I get the chance to ask). I called the funeral home to ask about the live streaming interruption and they said that this is normal because the family was unable to provide them with a flash drive containing the videos. Therefore, the family needed to use the funeral home's computer and internet which they say interrupts the live stream and explains why it cut out. Which really made no sense because this video was sent directly to the funeral home's email. In this day and age I was surprised to see they had an issue with live streaming and pre-recorded videos when that is commonly used these days across streaming platforms everyday. I honestly think that they could've just streamed everything from an iPhone at this point. This hurt a lot however because my mom was so close to her and our letters/videos was our last opportunity to say goodbye. But I hope that she heard it and that the family did as well. I honestly never seen anything worse than this. This was so unorganized and careless service. I imagine they were paid a lot to do this and it couldn't be done right. I can't believe I'm writing this about a funeral home. I wouldn't recommend you to bury your dog here.

I would have loved to give more stars but unfortunately, Mr. Johnathan has made me lower my score…read more Recently, my mom passed away and my family has used Estep Funeral Home because we have had a great experience with them in the past. They did a wonderful job on my mom making her look so beautiful and peaceful. Everyone there were very nice, sympathetic, and professional. However, there were some confusion with the insurance policy (because Johnathan for some reason could not get the policy numbers correct no matter how many times it was given to him through email or verbally). Eventually, everything cleared up and the funeral home was paid. But during time he was unprofessional with a family member who was helping me with the funeral arrangements and dealing with policy. My family member decided to leave a review about their experience dealing with him and of course it was not a good one. Today, while I am still grieving the passing of my mother, Johnathan called me to question me about the review that my family had given and was very rude, unprofessional, and nasty. It's one thing to call to see what the problem was, how things could have been handled differently, or to just apologize, but to call and be nasty and rude about it and even threaten to respond back to review with a negative comment of your own is downright unprofessional. And from what I see there are other bad reviews here as well as on yelp. My mother is gone, and you are calling her grieving daughter about a review? Are you serious? By you making that call has cause more harm and good. The next time you decide to call a grieving family stop and think first about how that call can affect them and your business.
