Noe Venable's fable-like Meadowlark Music Class is an underrated gem for parents and young children alike. She weaves storytelling, her music, instruments (wooden Waldorf ones for kids and a harp and guitar for herself), and gentle dance into a sensitively driven class. Play silks, maraca eggs, and puppets are included, too. Her folksy voice is like honey and is easy to listen to; her songs are divided into the natural world of the four seasons. I was happily surprised to find that Noe is highly attuned to the students in the class, and balances the fine line between music and cailming down time (perfect for highly sensitive toddlers). There's also a huge woodland theme in her music. I, the parent, left feeling reinvigorated.
Her class is competitively priced for SF children's music classes, but is somewhat steep for us regular folk. However, seeing Noe's magic - and my daughter's excited face during the class - is so worth it. I'd definitely recommend this class for all toddlers and parents.

Fyi: We listen to her music when I want to calm down! Some songs are easier to listen to than others, but each album is completely worth the listen. We have our favorites per album, too. read more
