Breakthrough Moments From the Very First Lessons…read more I can't recommend Danielle LoPresti enough as a singing teacher. She is amazing--supportive, patient, and incredibly kind. Almost immediately after I started taking lessons with her, she helped me break through obstacles that I had struggled with my whole life. What I appreciate most is her holistic approach to singing. For me, it's about expression, not perfection, and Danielle truly understands that. She creates a safe environment where I never feel judged or rushed, which makes it much easier to explore my voice and grow with confidence. Another thing that makes her classes special is the community she has built among her students. She organizes opportunities for us to meet and perform, which is incredibly valuable. Watching and learning from others is inspiring, and it also reminds us that many of us share the same challenges--stage fright, nervousness, and sometimes the pressure of perfectionism. If you're looking for a supportive teacher who truly helps you grow as a singer and as a performer, Danielle is fantastic.

Raz is a talented singing instructor!! The question is, can you be an A student…read more Have you ever wanted to sing your heart out loud but thought you sucked at singing, so you didn't even want to try? Well, chances are, you probably don't know how to sing, and trust me, singing can be taught, especially by Raz. Raz is a teacher for a reason and that is to TEACH you how to sing. He's been doing this for over 30 years. Think about it, why would there be so many vocal teachers, if singing can't be taught? But first, get over the fact that you're not going to be on The Voice after taking 10 vocal lessons and just believe that with practice and dedication, anything can be achieved. IF you PRACTICE 10,000+ hours of singing, maybe then, you'll get on The Voice, but for now, just love the learning process and have fun. It may seem daunting at first, i know, and when you first hear yourself sing, you're probably thinking to yourself.. oh F, why am i even trying or worse, think that the sound of a cat dying sounds better than me singing, at least that's what i thought.. So if you want to impress your friends at the next karaoke night or have a dream to sing live somewhere, book several lessons with him and don't forget to practice on your own. You didn't learn how to play the piano after four 1hr lessons... what makes you think you can sing after four hours and not practice?

Playing guitar is in my zone, but I am not a trained singer; hence, I started searching for singing coaches on the Internet. I found HEATHERVOX. She had a lot of positive reviews; hence, I scheduled a session with her; and, I am so happy I did. - She has a beautiful singing voice; and, she immediately assessed my singing competency baseline. - She immediately started me on vocal techniques that quickly controlled the movement of my neck, mouth, and vocal cords. Most importantly, she taught me the importance of relaxing the vocal cords throughout the octaves. - After 40 minutes of teaching proper singing techniques and using the techniques she taught me going up and down scales, it was time to apply the techniques to a song. - I sang, Here Comes The Sun, by the Beatles; and, I was amazed -- I immediately noticed the improvement in my singing -- now, don't get me wrong, it wasn't just "add boiling water and instant noodles" kind-of- thing, but it was a drastic and noticeable improvement in my singing voice. I still have a lot of work and practice to do. Now, I have more controlled volume, my voice is more robust, colorful, and dimensional, AND I am able to hit higher notes easier without strain. I was also amazed with the added tone quality Heather gave me through her singing techniques. Heather recorded my session; hence, I have a starting baseline of my singing voice. I can track my progress. I also have recordings of the techniques she taught me; so, I can replicate them while doing my homework. I have 6 months from today, 23-January-2025, to get my singing skills on-point; hence, I am 100% certain, working with Heather, will get me to my goal. I scheduled additional appointments with her, and she gave me homework and exercises to work on before my next session. I really enjoy the straw exercise -- extremely helpful. Finally, I like that Heather has good business ethics. She assessed my progress and gave me a class schedule that matched her forecast of my progress within the 6 months -- she didn't try to sell me more lessons than I needed. I'm very happy working with Heather to get me to my singing goals for this feature film. Check 6! /s/ Alfonso Faustino

What makes Wynde so unique is that they bring both technical expertise and a depth of inner work that allows them to hold a space that is truly safe, fierce, and healing. Our sessions helped me unlock parts of my voice I didn't even know were there. I found myself more playful, more willing to explore, and more able to trust the sound that wanted to come through me. Wynde encouraged me to listen closely, to let my voice move through breath and movement, and to form a relationship with the soundscape around me. These practices opened up not just my singing but also my creativity as an artist. I always left feeling lighter, more connected, and more in touch with myself. Wynde has the rare ability to meet you exactly where you are, whether you are working through something difficult or wanting to expand your artistic expression. They are a true healer and someone whose work is a gift to anyone fortunate enough to experience it.

If you are looking to take piano lessons, I highly recommend Laura. She is kind, patient, passionate and dedicated to teaching you how to play the piano the right way. This is a nice music school. It's not too big or too small. They have 5 rooms for lessons and they offer a variety of lessons with musical instruments including the piano, violin, drum, voice, and guitar. Both Lina (owner) and Judy (receptionist) run the school quite well and they are organized and professional. The only problem is that this studio doesnt have adequate insulation, which feels even hotter than it is (especially during the heat wave we are going through). I hope the building managers take this seriously and get the problem fixed soon. I recommend dressing light and drinking lots of water to stay hydrated. I highly recommend Albany Music School.
